GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Guys, today is the last day of my personal insanity at home =) I've been working the last two weeks straight 7 days a week between my two jobs and between all my financial documents I had to gather and all the forms and things I had to fill out. After my wife's doctor visit today then I will be totally caught up with all of that and will devote the entire weekend once again to shipping and orders and such.

GYROS is actually mostly updated with a few exceptions (a couple items not listed on there and a few that are listed as red which have since been paid). I'll be catching these up to date tonight and tomorrow. I will get back to you guys very soon :) I've been answering up to 20 Emails a day in addition to other updates. Talk to you all soon. I may do another chat room thing tomorrow in here to catch up with additional questions. Thanks guys.

Psamtik, yes we absolutely do (you can view all of the things people have ordered in the last few months by viewing our Picasa photo gallery here: http://picasaweb.google.com/goomba478/WhatPeopleOrdered02# ). We've been busy with a lot of personal things the past month or so but we'll be all caught up with that (finally) after tonight. So if you want to wait a few days to put in your order with us you'll experience better service more than likely :). I haven't had Yoo-Hoo in years...makes me want to go out and buy some lol. Thanks for your interest in GFC!

evantrees, I hadn't received all of your items so I didn't put them on the GYROS list yet. I just got about 20 new packages in from my UPS store so I'll be going through those tomorrow (taking another day off from work at the University...haven't been there in two weeks now) to catch up. I shall update you very soon ^_^.

gsrce, that's great. I'm going to be picking up the new packages this weekend so I'll keep an eye on it. I know I've said it over and over again but we're doing our best to keep up with all the orders =) It's been insanely busy in the Goomba household with the baby news, the moving to a new apartment, the extra job hours and the lawyer stuff. We're almost through it all though!

J-P Your Lowes items will be on the Google Checkout page tonight or tomorrow morning depending on when we get back from the doctor's. Thanks!

Jest, you're looking at somewhere between $45 and $50 USD to ship probably with all service charges included based on the size/weight of the item listed on there. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

JeffX, I was away from the office yesterday night and didn't get your order in time unfortunately. I will refund you later today when I get back from Hartford. Sorry man!
In the future, please use the Package Forwarding service for time-sensitive orders. Thanks!
Damn, thats pretty much what the sites were charging for shipping here anyway. Oh well thanks anyway.

Jest, not a problem. Just wanted to let you know before you went ahead and ordered it.

** GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! **

The hardest part of the process is over and today I dropped off several stacks of papers for my lawyers. I've been working day and night on gathering all the documents I needed over the last three weeks or so, which has been physically and mentally draining. I'm going to stay up tonight until around 3AM packing up items and putting in orders and all day tomorrow as well. There is nothing in the forseeable future that should delay anything further so I will hope to catch up all the orders for you guys.

I'm really sorry things were so hectic and that it was hard to keep up with everything, but as always I'm dedicated to doing my best and when I fall a bit behind I appreciate your understanding. I have nearly perfected the ordering system now though so we should be doing good :) Also, it looks like our new apartment is going to go through so we SHOULD be moving in on September 1st. I'm still stuck in my old place's contract through November though so we'll have two apartments temporarily. This means I'll be using the old place for GFC exclusively lol. It'll be a lot easier to organize packages when I have a full 2-Bedroom apartment to do so. Too bad I can't keep it that way ^_^ Darn finances!

I would have done the Package Forwarding thing but I don't have your most recent address and it's not on your website (for reasons I can imagine).

Oh well, nothing lost this time ;) It'll probably go back on sale later this year. Not like I don't have a million other games to play....

jeffx, yeah I took it off the site because I'm still working on improving it (and other things on there) but I will post this for you guys since a lot of you ask me about it. It'll get buried soon enough but here it is anyhow:

Yes, we still have our Package Forwarding (PF) Service running, even though it’s not openly listed on the website as of now (we’re working on improvements). So yes, you can order the items yourself and have them shipped to us, and we can send them up to you for the service charge and such. The full details are here:

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/_package-forwarding.php

Once you order your items (using the exact address from the above link) you can fill out this form to let us know what you have ordered so we can invoice you:

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/_dr-classic.php

If you have any other questions or need additional instructions just let me know. Thanks again for shopping with GFC!

Sincerely,
JJ Parks :)
GFC

PS: If you are ordering multiple items to consolidate please don’t have us hold onto them for too long as we have very limited space for packages, especially larger ones. But yes, doing this will typically save you shipping money in the long run :) Thanks again.

Goomba, that address, is that a new Box address? As the one I had on my files for your PO Box was PO BOX 563.

Just let me know, and I can correct this if need be. Thanks =)

gsrce, the PO Box is our actual mailing address for business letters and correspondence, but we RARELY use it for any shipping or anything of that sort. The UPS box is a secure mail box that has service people ready to sign for our packages and store them in a secure location. It works for all types of mail services (except perishable foods and REALLY big packages) and they can sign and store items for me as long as I need to (I typically pick them up once or twice a week as the store is about an hour from my house). If you need any other info let me know. Thanks!

PS: A lot of stores will not ship to actual PO Boxes, but the UPS store has an actual street address which will work for almost all orders =) If a website gives you a problem with the "W Main Street" you can leave out the "W" and just put in "Main Street". It's not a problem ^_^.

damn it, that's the address I had in my amazon.com address book but I was afraid to use it in case it in case you had changed.

It's all good Jeffx. I have the UPS account open until July 2011, so feel free to use it. I may change UPS stores in the future once I move, but I like the owners there as they put up with me and my crazy packages so I'll give them business as long as I can. I just wish there was a UPS store within 10 miles of my house =) but oh well. It's all good!

Goomba, would it be ok to ask you to quickly add my remaining "owing balance" to the GYROS Google checkout? It's kind of a selfish request, I know, but I've been waiting a month for my order and I'm leaving for PAX on the 2nd of September, and if possible, I would like to receive my order before then, so I can enjoy the convention fully. If any of this sounds asinine, then feel free to totally disregard it, but just in case my order is the one with the dead space figure, (order #1325)

Mr_Shank, it's not selfish or asinine (great word btw, I love that word). I will have your order added to the GYROS Google Checkout and I shall have it out to you tomorrow and you'll have it in time for your PAX. Sounds exciting!

** GFC UPDATE (Important) **

It would appear that some hacker of sorts has stolen my credit card information on my Paypal Debit Card (what I use for the majority of GFC Purchases). For this reason I had to report it to Paypal and they are sending me a new card. It may take up to a week though to receive it. I may have to temporarily refuse Direct Requests and only link to the Package Forwarding option as my funds in Paypal won't be available to me during that duration. I will do my best to get my new card ASAP (already requested it) but it's unlikely I can order anything until then. I will keep you posted. I may be able to use my wife's account as she has a supplemental card, but there's no guarantee. I will keep you guys posted.

Also, don't worry none of the funds were actually stolen. Paypal put a hold on them and they are being returned to me so if you made a payment recently you're all set. I just have to wait a few days for them to clear. Thanks for you support!

Out of curiosity goomb, how much DID that most recent order weigh? I figured 10 pounds was a highball guess when I paid for it, but looking back on it, I'm thinking now it might have been even more.

sent you a request (plus payment) Goomba for the Halo Reach figure that is a Toys R Us (USA) exclusive...damn them for refusing to sell it in Canada

Thanks Kyle. I can't order anything at the moment (see above notice about Paypal issue) but I should have it resolved either tomorrow or Sunday. By the way, love the John Locke with the orange in his mouth profile pic lol.
Thanks Kyle. I can't order anything at the moment (see above notice about Paypal issue) but I should have it resolved either tomorrow or Sunday. By the way, love the John Locke with the orange in his mouth profile pic lol.
no worries on the delay. I submitted payment and hope I estimated the right shipping weight (as I went by what TRU said it weighed). If for whatever reason it sells out in the next day or two just send the refund and I'll have to find an alternate way to get it

and thanks ;)

okay, i just noticed the woot-off items is asking for extra payment with google checkout. Just one question about that...

For the menscience order I overpaid by about $26 (50 cents was expected , but there's another like $25.50 because I forgot to factor in the coupon at the time. I believe the rest of the payment was the $76 for the service fee credits + 25% bonus totaling $95. With that extra cash and all, is that $15 what is owing on top of everything else? Like... I guess that would mean you calculated my credits balance... at least the all-purpose credits?

If that's true, I suppose my all-purpose credits balance is at 0? I'm hoping something was overlooked, but I'm not holding my breath lol. In that case, what does my service-fee credit sit at? I know that's OBVIOUSLY not 0, probably still around $90. It'd be nice to get a full, accurate update on this because I haven't received a snapshot of my credits situation in a long time, and having a good idea of exactly where I stand will mean I'm better equipped to make sure I send you the proper payment for future orders

For instance, with ~$90 of service-fee credits, it's silly for me to send you money for service fees, and likewise if I have sufficient "all-purpose credits". I've never seen a name given to these kind of credits so that's what I'm calling them heh - overpayments and such that COULD be refunded instead, and are used for buying items, shipping costs, etc, that don't and probably never will qualify for a "bonus" because, obviously, you're using them to pay for things and your profits are so unbelievably razor thin that you'd lose money doing so.

Hey Goomba, when you get everything organized, how weird would it be to get shipped some shredded wheat cereal? I can't friggin find any locally that is just pure wheat without any sugars or stuff added.

Any progress on the vehicle charger from Verizon Goomba? I'm slowly losing hope of it ever showing up. Need... to... charge... phone...

Where are you located? I saw these at Metro [2900 Warden Ave. Scarborough, Ontario]. They should be at most major grocery stores [like Food Basics, Price Chopper, No Frills].

That's weird. Here in the Greater Toronto Area, you can find these in most major grocery stores like Metro, Food Basics, and Price Chopper.

Weetabix is available pretty much everywhere here as well, odd that someone has trouble finding it!

On another note, Goomba, those Amazon.com PS1 games were already shipped to the PO Box address, so just an FYI. I'll make sure to not use that again, and hopefully we'll have a new address for you soon =)

@gsrce and Heart: Yeah, I know it's wierd I'm having trouble... but I've recently found that buying groceries in the GVA is a pain in the ass alongside fitness equipment.

Toronto has such a better selection and price on weight equipment AND healthy food like Quinoa. I've went to my local safeway, superstore, etc... And I can't find anything that isn't a small 500g box for some stupid price like $6.

I just want a big bag that's cheap which... isn't easy here apparently.

I'll look around when I'm out tomorrow. It will be much cheaper shipping it to you from within Canada I'm sure =)

I'll continue looking just incase, but the gesture is greatly appreciated :bomb: So frustrating.

Any chance I can get an update on my order: #1367 / 1420526581? GYROS hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm just wondering where my order stands. Thanks!

Hi there DMPugh, I'm updating GYROS as we speak. Having Paypal put a hold on my account this weekend is slowing down my progress a bit but we're plodding along :) I will update it soon. Thanks!

Hey Goomba,
Do you still do package forwarding? I'd like to order an iPad from a friend but he will not ship to Canada. US Only.
Obviously, a direct-request will not work for this. I am willing to pay for the service first.

Hey Goomba,

I am REALLY confused right now so maybe you could help me out.

In addition to the $76 service-fee purchase I added into the menscience order, there was $65.28 left over for shipping, and that was only by mistake (I forgot to factor in the 10% off coupon, so I initially overpaid for the order). I know it was a hefty order, but how the heck did it require the $28 MORE that you indicated (especially when the woot-off items required an additional $15)? Did you make some sort of mistake? I paid for both of them via your Google Checkout system anyways, because I know I can trust you to sort this out, but last I checked, shipping 14 pounds doesn't come out to over $93 ($65.28 + $28).

Please look into it. I may have made things a bit more confusing by throwing in the $76 service-fee credit purchase, so I don't blame you for getting mixed up (or me, for that matter), but it just makes absolutely no sense right now that I'm paying over $93 when the ordering page estimates $42 in shipping for 14 pounds.

I don't say I have the answers, but are you thinking that your service-fee purchase covers shipping costs? The service-fee discount only covers his $1,$2,$5 or whatever service fee per item.

To me, that sounds like what you are suggesting. Albeit, I have no idea what the actual order situation is, so don't think I know what the hell I'm talking about -- just pointing it out if that's the case.

Because $28 + $15 = $43 which is your shipping cost.

It looks like you still have a bunch of service-fee money laying about, but you don't have any "overall" credit left with Goomba.

Hey guys, I'm still up (just got up actually go to work). emjaymj, I don't have time to give you a full run-down but I believe it was that your Best Clippers order had additional shipping due (since originally you didn't estimate the shipping and just put $0.00) so it's quite possible that some of your extra funds went towards that, but like I said I have to go to work now so I don't have time to give you a full run-down but I'll review it tomorrow. I do believe it should be accurate though.

I'll get back to you ASAP though :) Thanks!

It's entirely possible I'm the one who's mistaken (and the situation is rather complex), but the service-fee money was on top of THAT. To give a better perspective, the total cost of the purchase itself was $230.40 - I paid for it, via paypal, the amount of $368. So 137.60 more, 76 of which was for service fees, and the balance of ~$61 was entirely for shipping. The additional $28 brings it to roughly $89. I DID make a mistake for sure though, I made a slight error with the numbers by including the roughly $4 paypal fee. The $15 though, was for an unrelated order.

Goomba's explanation might very well account for it. Things have become so complex with my orders that it takes a great deal of organization to sort things out, which is why I'm constantly bugging him for an update on my account balances  I'm gonna have to see what he's got, and see if my end agrees with him. We went through and untangled everything before and he provided me with a nice and detailed statement to back up his figures and it turned out he had overlooked 2 payments I had made. But I'm a terribly organized person and I place so many orders with him, sometimes in a complicated matter, that a great deal of it is my fault. Until the GFC website has the ability to automatically track all this stuff though, I guess we just have to do a little spring cleaning on my account every once in a while, particularly when I don't feel that things seem to line up (although just because I ended up being right last time doesn't mean I won't be totally wrong this time lol)

Thanks though anyways for trying to help, it certainly doesn't hurt.

RoganSarine, I could definitely get you the cereal as long as it's something readily available. Just let me know what brand you want.

ironchefff, yes your charger is here :) I will be repacking it today for you. Thanks!

darkandlong, I don't have any right now but what price range are you looking for? Let me know :) Thanks!

Hi Goomba, I just submitted my first order for some Converse shoes. I was having trouble with the order form ignoring my changed address after the first page.
I believe it was submitted with the 624 address when it should be shipped to the 780 address which is in my paypal comment.
Thanks a lot!

Mr_Shank, I packed your items up and they will ship tomorrow morning when I get out of work. There were a few dollars due for the additional shipping though. I'll send you the invoice tomorrow :) Thanks.

MaximusCat, thanks. I'll order your shoes and we can fix your address for you. Appreciate it!
