GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

I wouldn't mind doing it either, but I seriously doubt there's any significant demand for such a service, ESPECIALLY with the dollar being at what it is lately

Thanks gsrce and all others who recently paid for items :) I am going to be processing your orders all day today and a few hours tomorrow and Wednesday as well. I'll try to get as many orders shipped as I can :).

Unfortunately, my wife was just in her first car accident on the way to work. She's not hurt and the baby's not hurt, but there was quite a bit of damage done to the front bumper of our SUV and possibly some internal damage too. I'm going to bring the car in to the repair shop but we'll be without that car for a week or so. It shouldn't delay GFC services much aside from having to shuttle my wife to and from work and to the store and such, but financially it means I'll have to come up with $1000 or so by Friday/Saturday in order to get my car back. I'm planning to list some of my systems and games on eBay tonight so I'll be sure to post a link to those in case any of you want to buy one. There should be some good deals :) I just won't be able to lowball them as I have to get the money ASAP.

Thanks again everyone, talk to you soon ^_^.

Shouldn't your insurance cover this? Glad to hear both your wife and child are alright =)

hey goomba, I am new to this, so I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong. I had a request, order #223588269, but haven't had any news about it. Let me know if something needs to be done to get the order going, thanks

ReaperSpirit...no worries. We're just really busy with orders. It typically takes about a week for PF orders to show up on GYROS (occasionally longer if we don't receive your item right away) and for Direct Requests it takes a couple of days. Usually no news is good news and means things are moving along smoothly.

We'll catch up eventually so that orders are in real time but it's just hard as we have new orders coming in constantly. I think though ultimately we'll just automate it but for now we'll just keep plowing through orders as fast as we can. Thanks ^_^

gsrce, I'm not sure if it's the same in Canada but here in the 'States we have insurance deductibles. For my plan it's $1000 meaning we have to pay the first $1000 of damage regardless. The estimated damage is around $2100, so we pay $1000 and the insurance pays the remainder. Sucks, but that's just how it goes. We haven't ever had an accident before so hopefully it doesn't affect our plate too much =P

Glad to hear your wife and child are safe but that is still scary.

I think it's similar here in Ontario, but that's only if you are at fault or partially at fault and need to need to make repairs to your own car. If you aren't at fault, I believe it comes out of the pocket / insurnace of the liable party...

Thanks man, yeah when I answered the phone and she said "I was just in a car accident" my heart froze and skipped a couple beats. It sucks that I have to pay the fee to fix the car but God knows it could have been 1000000x worse. I'm just thankful she's alright as is the little Goomba =)

** GFC UPDATE **

Just to let you guys know, I'm actively considering turning my GYROS page into a live Google Docs page. I'm not 100% sold on the idea but I'm going to try it and see what people think. The idea is that I could edit the item updates from any web browser anywhere (including at work) which would let me update more frequently though the downside is that it'd probably look a little simpler. I'll put up a trial run of it this weekend and see what you guys think.

In the meantime, I'm back to packing / processing orders ^_^.

Perhaps have both versions of your GYROS page available in case the new one goes wacky.

I was wondering...if a package arrives for PF prior to an order form being processed (both the order and the form were completed today), what happens? I was pretty ecstatic filling out my first PF form EVAR... :)

Man, a $1000 deductible?

In BC, the max deductible you got to pay is like $350 -- seriously. You can choose between $150, 250 and 350 if I recall. The higher the deductible, the lower your yearly insurance is (if I remember correctly).

Albeit, our insurance yearly is friggin retarded compared to most in the states from what I hear. For instance, my car from the 1990's is $1800/year just for insurance. And, if it's a brand new car, it's exactly the same.

Glad to hear everyones alright though! My stepdad just got in an accident last night too -- creepy (large truck though, so it it'd take a semi for him to feel anything).

penetratingpincer, yes I'll be displaying a hybrid combo of both initially for this very reason. Thanks for the feedback.

addone, we hold onto all PF packages while we're waiting to process the invoices and such so it won't matter. It's best though to file the form immediately so we know what to look for and whose it is, but if there's a little time between the two it's not the end of the world :) Welcome to the service!

Myv, no most customers don't have to pay anything for fight sticks typically.

waterstorm, yes I already paid for it and ordered it. Hopefully they don't have to call me to verify the order like they did last time, but if they do I'll be ready. Thanks again buddy.

RoganSarine, yeah $1000 deductable sucks but it does bring down my monthly insurance premiums to a somewhat tolerable level (though I've had a car for over 10 years now and never got in an accident, so I've probably paid more than my cars are worth in insurance fees...insurance sucks). Yeah I'm just glad she and the baby are in tip-top shape. Money is just money, it can be earned back (though it takes a lot of work =P). Glad your stepdad is okay also!

Excellent, haha! I both ordered and filled out a form yesterday, so I just need to be patient with that 1-3days of form processing to pay the Goomba-fee (maybe a bit more with the service just fully returning past weekend?) :)

Hey Goomba haven't been on here for a while. Got your email regarding my Modnation Racers PF. Also, did you receive the prize from that Metal Gear contest yet? It should have arrived in your mail by now.

addone, yeah we're still busy with a few past orders but we'll process them ASAP. I'm spending all afternoon tomorrow and most of the weekend doing order updates as per usual :)

blackric, I didn't receive the Metal Gear contest prize yet but I'll let you know if it comes in (my next UPS pickup is this upcoming Thursday). Talk to you soon.

blackric, don't worry ... my old mail gets forwarded to my new place by USPS. It sometimes takes 3-4 days to process but they're very good about it in my little town.

Also, everyone I'm going to be revamping the GYROS page over the next week so the existing one may not be updated much as I'm working behind the scenes on the new one. No sense in updating the old page when the new one is far more organized and will be replacing the existing one. So just hang on until say Saturday when I plan to reveal the new one. Thanks for your patience :) I'm still processing orders, GYROS just may not reflect it in the meantime. Thanks! ^_^

Many insurance companies have options to take a $1,000 deductible in exchange for lower premiums. Some people decide they'd rather pay less monthly and still be covered for serious damage, others find that they prefer the insurance company pay nearly the entire bill for even minor damage, at the cost of a higher premium. It's not like one is way more expensive than the other though... in the end, the only thing that dictates whether or not you made the cheaper choice is luck, or the lack of it

But the reason you'll pay nearly the same on a new car and an old car is because by far the biggest chunk of your insurance goes towards liability, because seriously injuring (or even killing) someone can end up with you (and by extension your insurance company) on the hook for even hundreds of thousands of dollars, and sometimes even more than that. Makes the value of the car almost inconsequential in comparison.

Hi Goomba,

Sorry i didn't see the other page of the invoice you sent it to me.
Just want to let you know, i just paid for order number 1022146737.

Please check it.

Thanks.

not a problem qwertystfu, as of this upcoming Saturday the GYROS page will be a lot easier for people to read so that should clear up all the questions about invoices and such =) One step at a time. Also, I just got a new shipment of packages so I'll go through and see if your other games are in there or not. I'll be invoicing all day today from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Thanks again.

Goomba, I sent you an email with an update on my side. I am quite disappointed, but I also hope I didn't tie up any of your resources unnecessarily. I guess we'll both have to wait for the first successful PF...

That's too bad addone, and don't worry you didn't cost me any resources :) Just so you know, we almost never invoice for PF orders before we have the item unless we know the exact weight of the item. So no problem buddy, I'll take your order out of our system and better luck next time ^_^ Thanks again!

** GFC UPDATE **

The new GYROS page is 99% finished! This will allow you to see ALL orders (DR/PF/eBay) in one single page as well as our Google Checkout system for orders requiring additional funds. It'll simplify everything and will support tabs for archived orders (ongoing, past orders will be on the old GYROS Archive system for now).

I hope to have this up on the site in the next couple of hours so that should give you something to look forward to =) Having everything on one page means a lot less guesswork for everyone. Hope you guys like it!

** BRAND NEW GYROS PAGE! **

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that our GYROS 3.0 page has officially launched. It took a LONG time to update to this new system, but we'll be sticking with this as long as it doesn't present any issues. It's a hybrid combo using Google Documents, Google Checkout and a few other customized things on our end. Doing this will allow us to put everything one page and you'll notice that the "O" in GYROS finally debuts with a new orange category for items that are paid but MAY require additional funds/shipping $. Feedback is always welcome:

http://gamesforcanada.com/gyros-updates.php

Also, we will be processing as many orders as we can this weekend but we wanted to have the new GYROS up and running to alleviate as many questions about individual orders. We'll be adding in a bunch more PF orders but as always, we don't typically add PF orders to the list until we've physically received them. Thanks again guys for everything!

Myv, no most customers don't have to pay anything for fight sticks typically.
Thanks for answering my question :D got another, what do the shipping + service fee usually come to for these?

Also, with the new GYROS page, due to the way Google treats URLs and Hyperlinks, I'll be breaking up multiple-item orders onto individual lines, so if you think your order is missing an item from the description, just look directly below ^_^ I will mark items a, b, c, d, etc... hope this makes sense. Once you see the page it should =)

Myv, it really depends on the fight stick. Most of them are 10-12 pounds so around $35.00 - $39.00 USD for shipping costs. The service charge is between $7.00 - $12.00 depending on the weight. Again, it really depends on the fight stick :)

RoganSarine, I got the first part of that order but the podcasting kits haven't come yet. I'm assuming they should be here this week though. I'll be doing my next UPS pickup on this upcoming Wednesday. I'll keep you posted. Thanks =)

6 ounces a shirt roughly, 12 shirts... ~5 lbs?

I would ballpark that at $27 USD if Goomba doesn't get back to you. It depends on the size your ordering really -- I know Goomba ships a bunch of shirts, so he could probably better ballpark it, but you'd be looking at $37 USD maximum (shirts are between 4 ounces and 13 ounces depending on their size and fabric)

I think Rogan's estimate is correct. Shirts are pretty heavy actually so yes between $35 - $40 for shipping more than likely. If it goes over 4 pounds it goes to Priority Mail which costs a bit more than First Class but is also faster shipping typically.

Alright, thanks for the reply guys. Can't believe their shipping price is correct, thought it was just another case of unnecessarily expensive Canadian shipping.

heimdal, it's possible it'd still be under $40.00 but in all honesty it'd be pretty close with service fees and everything. In any case you're welcome to order from us if you think the customs fees will slam you (if they ship with UPS or whatever) but otherwise we won't be offended if you don't :)

** GFC UPDATE **

Just wanted to let you all know that I am working 5 straight days at the casino this week but that I'll be spending a few hours each day doing GFC things. Monday and Tuesday I'll be spending 8+ hours a day doing packing/shipping/invoicing and we'll keep updating GYROS in next to real time using our new system (hope you like it!).

In the meantime, I just went to the UPS store today and got so many packages that I couldn't see out my back window of my car. There were around 20 packages or so but some of them were very big with lots of items. I'll be processing most of these on Tuesday probably so in the meantime just hang in there and I'll add PF orders to the list until they're all accounted for. It took me a few days to program in the new GYROS system but it's a lot cleaner and easier to update now so it should benefit everyone.

Talk to you soon. Lots more updates to come ^_^ Thanks and good night!

This one is ending in 19 hours or less...(10:30 PM EST tonight 10/24/2010). Currently at the time of this listing it's only $9.99 plus shipping. The game is 100% brand new and shipped directly from me to you. I'll send out same day as payment is received. Thanks guys!

Also up for grabs is a Brand new Pokemon Dialga/Palkia Nintendo DS Lite set (Limited Edition). It includes a brand new DS Lite system, carrying case and DVD. Bidding is starting at $99.99 and goes through until 10:30 PM EST on 10/31/2010 (Halloween).

I'll be adding more items weekly as I have a lot of things I need to sell to regain some income :) Links will be added and sprinkled across the GFC website. Thanks everyone for your support!

hehe yeah it's a pretty sweet DS Lite. Not to worry RoganSarine, I have like 20 DS' or so that I'll be selling over the next couple of months so there's plenty of opportunities to pick up some great DS Lites =) I'm just trying to recover some money I had to spend on repairing the car right now so I'm selling my limited edition ones first. Thanks for looking!

Also, in case you guys didn't notice, I'm adding eBay banners at the bottom of the GYROS page. This is to just generate a little more income for the site and I figured it was better to go with something relevant to the subject matter of the site rather than just random ads. I'll continue to list my own personal eBay listings at the bottom of the page and on the main page as well. Thanks for your support ^_^.

Why do you even have 20 DS's in the first place? There might be a 12 step program I could recommend for you. :p
Why do you even have 20 DS's in the first place? There might be a 12 step program I could recommend for you. :p
The first 11 steps involve giving me 11 DS's :D

LOL, it's not as if all the DS' are my personal collection or anything (though a few are). As a lot of you know, I used to run my business as solely an eBay resale company before jumping two feet into the whole GFC thing =). Once I started package forwarding and all, I haven't had time to list much on eBay so I still have a lot of my old merchandise that I need to liquidate. Now that I'm working on restructuring my finances and such (absolutely zero credit cards) it means changing my thinking on a lot of things and I'm trying to go cash only for most purchases.

So yeah, I have 6 DS' of my own (Phat/DS Lite/Zelda DS Lite/Japanese DS Lite & a DSi / DSi XL) but what can I say...it's pretty much my favorite system of all time. I can't wait for the 3DS =).
