GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

shadow_nine, thanks a bunch :) I will do my very best to get you a copy on Black Friday. If for some reason it doesn't go through I'll refund you in full of course.

That being said, with Amazon GC's we ask that you still put in a Direct Request but in the notes mention that you are going to pay with Amazon GC's. Then just simply Email the codes to us. We will apply your GC's to your order and invoice you if any remaining funds are left over. Our payment systems are still the same as before, we've just automated a lot of the in-between steps. If you have any other questions just let us know. Thanks ^_^

PS: You didn't include the 6% Sales Tax for the item. This retailer charges tax in my home state (as do nearly all Black Friday stores other than Amazon.com, Buy.com or online retailers). I'll just invoice you for the difference if I'm able to get you the copy. Thanks!

New updated invoice sent to you shadow_nine. Hopefully Target offers Free Shipping on Black Friday :) I know in the past they have. Thanks again.

Baztian, yes that's what I go through 2-3 times a week. I think I'm single-handedly keeping this UPS store in business =) They're going to miss me if I ever move (or maybe they won't...I sure keep them busy lol).
jeffx, it really depends whether or not I have to work. In the past years we've done live BF events with chat room access and live ordering which was fun, but now that I'm working on grave shift it may be difficult considering I tend to work on Friday/Saturday/Sundays at the casino. My main advice would be to use the Package Forwarding address for maximum convenience and just let me know what you order as I'll have to process a TON of orders that week :)

We'll be doing everything we can to be here during the sales but if I have to work it's very likely that it'll be largely PF ordering. I will let you know once I find out the actual work schedule that week though (should find out tomorrow). Thanks!
OK cool. Has the PF procedure changed at all? In fact I don't think I've ever had to use it. Please advise.

jeffx, the PF system is pretty much the same as always. Just got the PF page, follow the directions (especially the shipping address part) and then just submit the form. Not much to it really :) We'll take care of the rest. Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I'm interested in this service. Is there a FAQ on how it works. How I would have it shipped to a US address. I'm assuming I change my credit card shipping address for the few mins to put an order through but am not sure.

:) And is this only for gaming? Is there a pickup option for me to drive down to you.

Thanks for any help.

Tibbs
You do not need to change your credit card address as 99% of merchants ask for a ship to and bill to address.

Goomba will help you ship most items from the U.S. to Canada with very few restrictions, so no, not only games.

In regards to picking items up from him, I think you'd be better off with another service, as Goomba's more in the line of package forwarding and not holding, he actually does use a box at a UPS store though to have items forwarded to, and you could do the same, as most UPS and similar stores allow for Canadians to ship items to them and hold them for a small fee.

Hi there Tibbs, welcome to GFC :) Like gsrce said, you don't need to change your credit card address. Instead, you can have us order the items for you with our Direct request service or if you like, you can order on your own and ship to us, and we'll forward the items back to you. All of our service charges and shipping fees are explained in great detail on the website. You can find more information here:

1) Direct Request: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/direct-request.php (this DR service has us order for you and allows you to pay everything up front including service fees and estimated shipping costs as well).

2) Package Forwarding: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php (this PF service allows you to order items on your own and ship to us. Once we receive your items we will invoice you for the shipping and service charges).

Full instructions are on there. If you need additional info just let me know :) Thanks for your interest in our services. Oh yeah and you don't need to order just video games, we can order just about anything that's legal to ship internationally :) You can see a long list of items people ordered in our Picasa web gallery here:

CrushEm, unfortunately I was able to get Thanksgiving off (Thursday) but not Black Friday. Meaning, I'll have to go to work when the majority of online sales are going on. It's a bummer as I wanted to do another live BF sale, but now that I'm on the grave shift at my casino job it's not going to be possible this year.

What that means for GFC is that you can order items on your own from Amazon, Best Buy, etc. for stores that have their sales online. You can order and pay for the items yourself and ship them to my UPS address using the Package Forwarding service and then we'll be able to forward them to you. I won't be able to do Direct Request service for the majority of the BF sales as I'll be at work. Also, the stores around me locally have door-buster sales and such but I won't be able to go to any physical stores for BF sales as again I'll be at work till around 12:00 Noon and most items will be sold out.

So if you want to order be sure to use the PF services :) Best of luck and have fun. Hope you get some great deals!

** GFC Service Update**

You guys may have noticed that our service is running smoother than ever lately. This is largely to do with our new place (having a lot of extra room is a BIG boost) but we've also been spending as many as 12 hours a day processing orders. We now have our system setup in such an efficient way that we are invoicing the same day we receive items and in many cases shipping them out the same day as well (when they've been paid in full of course). We're still working out a way to have Package Forwarding (PF) orders pre-paid in a similar way as the Direct Request (DR) orders, but haven't quite solidified our plans there.

With Black Friday around the corner we'll be busy again but want you to know we'll do everything we can to keep our system up to date and backlogs a thing of the past. Thanks for all your support and keep in touch. You can follow our progress on the GYROS page which is now updated several times a day. Thanks again ^_^.

Hey JJ,

I just placed a DR request order with you. #609842288

And I hate to bug you yet again, but this is BY FAR the most urgent thing I've ordered from you to date, and I've made more than a few orders in the past

Once you take a look at it, you'll see why, and hopefully realize it's no exaggeration. I upgraded the shipping from the store to you and treated it as a separate item, which it charged me for, but I'm fine with that. Screws are a weird thing to have to order but I've worn myself out going all across town trying to find the right sizes and apparently they're not too common, and even though I needed them like yesterday... it's become apparent that you're my only hope on this one. So right now I'm more thankful for your service than ever, but time-wise I am totally at your mercy heh (and the USPS of course... lol).

I'm in a panic even as a write this  I need to lie down -__-

Got your invoice Goomba, Is it ok if I wait for my $5 Amazon.com GC to pay off the difference.

I also see that NFS: Hot Pursuit is for $35 at multiple retailers this Black Friday. Should be easier to get a copy now.

Hey guys, just got back from getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out today (ouch). I'm a bit of a late-comer when it comes to that. So I was a bit knocked out from all the drugs they had me on. I'm coming too now though and will Email/Respond to your PM's very soon. I'm still very dizzy :) Talk to you soon I promise. I'll likely be staying home from work a few days this week as well. Appreciate it!

Get well soon brah!

Btw I placed a DR order just before 5pm today. I was a little confused as to what happens next, since my order did not show up in GYROS. Should I be expecting a confirmation email or?

Thanks it's much appreciated!

P.S. my order # is 1825365543

I had them pulled out at 25 (forgot how old you are now)

anyway just so you know... I was out of commission for two weeks. I am not joking! GET SOME REST

emjaymj, all set. I ordered as soon as I received your request and they've already shipped it to me (confirmation number provided and everything). I'll send that out to you as soon as it gets in which should be tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. No worries buddy, take a breather :).

shadow_nine, yes you can wait for your $5 Amazon Gift Card. No problem ^_^ Good to her about other retailers following suit on that sale =)

chingster, thanks a bunch. I'm not really experiencing any pain (maybe a bit of tenderness) but I am a bit dizzy/tired from the meds they gave me. I should be fully operational again in a day or two though according to the oral surgeon which is great. For now I'm just taking it easy :) As for the GYROS, we add them on a daily basis as soon as we process your orders. Due to the dentist and such yesterday I wasn't doing much in terms of GFC but today I'm back on it and I'll make sure to have your order added on there. Should be up in the next hour or two. Thanks again.

jeffx, I'm 28 so yeah I'm a bit late, but had to get it done eventually. Glad it's behind me though :) I've been getting plenty of rest and just miss eating solid foods lol. Any day now and things will be back to normal for me ^_^ Can't wait!

Another UPS pickup from a few days ago. I'll be picking up more tomorrow as well ^_^ GFC is really staying on top of things :) Thanks everyone for your support! You may notice also we're listing our eBay auctions on our main GFC page as well as at the bottom of our GYROS page. We'll be selling items weekly to try and gain some money for the upcoming baby and we'll be having a big Lowball sale mid January as well. Keep in touch everyone :).

IMG_6336.JPG

Glad to hear it man :) Thanks for the update. I always love hearing when you guys get your things (and even cooler when you guys send pictures of you using them). Puts a smile on my face every time ^_^ Keep in touch buddy, thanks again.

Setite, it probably wasn't 100% necessary but my dentist and oral surgeon recommended it because there's a chance of them impacting each other or decaying. So if I'm going to go and get them out, I'd rather get all 4 wisdom teeth out at once. So yeah... they're healing though :).

kyle071785, that is NOT accurate. Street Fighter Fight Sticks weigh about 12-13 pounds shipped (trust me, I've shipped quite a few ^_^) so they cost around $30-$33 to ship or so to Ontario. We don't pay taxes on Amazon though, that is correct. Thanks!

philvo87, the actual shipping part is around $5.00 on average. The Service charge would be $3.00 ($2.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional). Thanks!

forbiddenx, you're looking at approximately $30-$33 USD shipped to Canada for the shipping and $7-$12 for the service charge depending on the weight. So altogether $37-$45 as a rough estimate. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Hey Goomba,

Just wondering if you got those screws in today, and if you got my email about possibly using UPS to make things much quicker - even as soon as this Friday if everything goes perfectly - but I was surprised to find I still haven't received a reply, and because the first time I sent it, it had an error (the second time seemed to be just fine), I just want to make sure you got all that info okay.

I'm going to send the email again, just in case, rather than wait to see if you actually got it. Hopefully that's not a problem. I might paste it into a PM too, heh. They will be identical copies so don't worry about reading more than one, you won't miss anything.

emjaymj, I just literally walked in the door from getting home from work. I picked up about 30 packages so I didn't go through them yet, but if yours is here yes I will drop it off at UPS tomorrow morning for you. I'll let you know tonight :) no worries. I just haven't had time to write back yet as I was at the University all day. Thanks. Talk to you soon :)

Great to here. I imagine with the upgraded shipping I got, you probably SHOULD have a tracking number to verify whether or not it actually did. Speaking of which, I would totally appreciate it if you could include the UPS tracking number for me when you ship it out so that I can remain totally on top of things. Thanks :)
Good news emjaymj:

I will send you the UPS tracking number for you =) Cheers!
Thanks so much! I got the tracking info already as well. It's unfortunate you weren't somehow able to do it while you were there picking them up, as I think I'd get it before the weekend even, but Monday's not too bad. Either way, I'm absolutely elated at the moment... hopefully everything continues to go smoothly heh

Yeah, sorry I work late in the day as you probably know by now but I got them out as quickly as possible. I'm going to go to UPS now and drop them off tonight to make sure you get them because I'll be out of state all day tomorrow. Shipping with UPS is really a pain though because they make me fill out all the customs forms by hand and such. I just hope I did everything right because I don't want to drive half an hour round trip for nothing. Wish me luck =P I'll let you know how it goes ^_^;;

Oh wow, thanks a lot. I don't know if Customs forms are too different in the US but here, they're not too bad. Although I suppose even a tiny mistake or typo can break the bureaucratic machine sometimes, heh. Are you able to download the customs forms to fill out beforehand, or do you have to fill them out there?

Edit: Just realized you may have already left, and I don't really want to waste your time with more questions right now, especially since it's mere curiosity. As far as I'm concerned you can wait until 2011 to answer  Good luck, and I owe you big time.

Well there's a reason I don't typically ship UPS :) It's a LOT more work on my end, but don't worry ^_^ You're one of my best customers so I don't mind going out of my way to make it work for you in this scenario. I am totally spoiled though with USPS and how automated they have become. As for the customs, I can fill them out beforehand and I did already fill it out. So we should be all set. It's just one time I went all the way down there and they told me I had to fill something out differently and I had to go all the way back home (waste of time). We should be OK though. I'll let you know later when I get back tonight ^_^.

i knew they were heavier than 2.5 pounds...$30 to ship =

I guess I'm going to wait and see if the Canadian Amazon reduces the price of their fightsticks ever...they've never gone a dollar under $169 while the American Amazon always lowers the prices weekly depending on the stick

friggin Canada...

thanks though Goomba

emjaymj, good news buddy...SHIPPED! Hope they get it to you ASAP =)

kyle071785, yeah it sucks I know but just didn't want to get your hopes up too much. The non-tournament sticks typically do weigh a little less (around 10 pounds) but that will still be around the prices I mentioned. Better luck next time though :)
emjaymj, good news buddy...SHIPPED! Hope they get it to you ASAP =)
thanks so much, I'm thrilled to hear that. Let me know what the balance works out to, keeping everything in the email in mind, and I'll settle that ASAP.

Yup yup. I'll get it all straightened out over the weekend for you. I have your Email handy so I'll go through it =) Thanks. I'm off to bed now. I have a super busy day in NYC tomorrow ^_^ Thanks again. Good night everyone!

Hey JJ,

Last week I set up a PF order form for another pair of shoes, it's 791670029. However, I made a mistake of submitting it without my shipping address. I submitted a new form under 205993017 with complete information.

Now the package tracker said it had already been delivered on the 13th, I was wondering if you received it yet? Thanks!
Yup yup. I'll get it all straightened out over the weekend for you. I have your Email handy so I'll go through it =) Thanks. I'm off to bed now. I have a super busy day in NYC tomorrow ^_^ Thanks again. Good night everyone!
Good night, sleep tight.

Don't let the bed bugs bite :) (seriously lol, NYC has a huge problem with them right now)

Even still, I'd love to go there one day. Being the foodie that I am, NYC is sort of my North American, gastronomic Mecca lol. Dinner and a Broadway show would be awesome. I know that's probably not what you're doing, but I hope you have a great time anyways - even if you're going for an unpleasant reason heh (I can't find or even remember you mentioning NYC before, let alone why!)

As for the wisdom teeth, you should be fine. I got them taken out at 23, put totally under - general anesthesia - and came out of it feeling pretty damn good (in retrospect, twilight anesthesia might have been a bit more fun). But despite my oral surgeon telling me general anesthesia is used only about 10% of the time, I was eating solid foods the same day and didn't even need to fill the pain med prescription. Granted, I ended up not even needing stitches, but I was way more worried than I should have been  which should be obvious based on my choice of anesthesia.

Just finishing the statistic I was given though, for anyone who cares, twilight anesthesia is used about 90%, and the third option, local anesthesia (ie Novocaine, local numbing) only being used extremely rarely by some individuals who are equal parts very brave AND very stupid heh

Anyways, once again, thanks a lot, and regardless of the circumstances that bring you there, I hope you have a blast in NYC.

znal, thanks for fixing that up. I did receive a PF without the proper information. I picked up a bunch of packages yesterday but I'm out of town all day today. I'll be processing orders tomorrow an I'll be sure to look into that for you and patch it up with your correct info. Thanks for the clarification :) Talk to you soon.

emjaymj, yeah the bed bugs issue is one I've heard of in NYC but I'm not staying overnight so it shouldn't be much of an issue =) And yes, we're mostly going just to savor in some fine eating before the winter gets too cold and before my wife gets a bit too pregnant ^_^ It's supposed to be nice today there...going to rain after 6PM but that gives us plenty of time to walk around and do touristy things.

Talk to you soon. I'll be back tomorrow and updating you guys as always. Thanks for everything!

How does goomba handle amazon games with credits? If I preorder this $49.99 game and it comes with a $10 credit do I only have to pay $39.99 (plus the shipping/service charge)?
I looked on the website and did a quick search for an answer but there's no way I'm looking through this massive thread.

It's only one credit per account, so chances are that he has already ordered the item.

Your best bet is to package forward, this way the credit is kept on your account, and you can order another game in the future using that credit.
