$30 extra trade credit on systems traded in toward purchase of another new system. systems which qualify for the trade in are psp(except go)dsi/dslite/360/wii/ps3
the typical extra 3/$10, 4/$25, BUT 7/$50!!! minimum of $5tiv for the games to qualify

Don't know if I'd bother. Next gen DS is supposed to be announced this year for a spring release next year.

On the red paper from the trade in center display it states "Get an extra $30 trade in credit when you trade in your PS3, Xbox 360, Wii PSP, NINTENDO DS LITE or nintendo DSi system toward the purchase of any new system"

The employees at the GS you went to were misinformed. You are able to trade in a DS Lite it just hast to be traded in towards the purchase of a new system. Always try to go in with a print out of the promo. Also at all the GS stores around me they have in a display trade in center set up with a red paper showing all their current trade in promos. See if they have one next time, grab a paper and show them.

You ought to tell it to www.TellGameStop.com by filling a survey out. Your input will reach the higher-ups in your region, and it could even affect the way your local GS does business. Doesn't hurt to try.

But yeah, I'd show them the ad next time you go in. It clearly says they take DS Lite also.

Yeah, my local GS tends to know their stuff most of the time, but there were no ads or any indications of this trade-in deal anywhere at the store.

I will go back now and show them the printed ad that they have on their own website showing them I could have done this the first place.

UPDATE: Went to Gamestop and I had to show them the printed promo from their own website. They were nice and went through it and lo and behold, the deal showed up on the computer. I was able to get $75 off towards a new DSi.
