Gamestop 20% off used code.

ps2emotions

CAGiversary!
Gamestop is offering 20% off used games using code 20USED. Also they have a few games 2 for 1 price. They also have a deal where if you spend $29.99 or more you get a 15% off next purchase coupon. Free shipping over $25 and SAVER code probably still works if it's under $25.

Where are these 2 for 1 price games?

Thanks for the post!

Also, the Edge discount is still stacking for me... Maybe it's because I never physically went in and typed in the PowerUp card?

I just checked on my account and it stacked as well without any problems.

Have you went into your account and linked the PowerUp card yet? Like I said, I haven't and I'm afraid to with all the people saying the discount no longer worked for them... Or was that just a temporary issue that was resolved?

It says on the site if you link you PowerUp card you will start receiving points online...but I thought people also said that you didn't get any PowerUp points for buying online.

I'm confused

Hmmmm now that you mention it, I don't believe I have linked my PowerUp card to it yet. I kind of assumed they would have done it automatically in the store when they changed me over, but maybe not.

Well if you're still stacking you need to decide if you want to take the risk of losing your 10% or if you'd rather possibly lose that and gain PowerUp points. Tough choices!

Hopefully somebody will reply who has linked their accounts manually and can tell us one way or the other what's going on now.

From what i have gathered your card will stack as long as it's an edge card (new powerup card doesn't stack). So i would stick with the edge ( wish i would have ). as for online points i have heard both so it may be a hit or miss (but you can most likely send them a complaint to have points added). Hold onto your edge until they fix it or start having deals with alot of bonus points as a $10 coupon cost 8000 points.

Edit: yes coupons are web only, and to get the 15% off next purchase you have to do a pick up in store (and pay store prices, which will be more if it says "online price only" next to the game)

hope that helps

The 2 for 1 deal must be for just a few games because I saw it on a gamestop intro page and it showed mirrors edge and fracture along with 6 other games but when I clicked on it didn't show anymore. I filled my cart with a bunch of cheaper ps2 rpgs but decided not to bite because I have such a huge backlog.

That's the thing, I DID upgrade for the PowerUp program and I even signed up for it on the Powerup.com website. The only thing I didn't do is manually go into my account on the Gamestop.com website and link it to my powerup card. The only card my online account is linked to is my old Edge Card.

My accounts are linked and I'm getting stacked discounts, so it's not a problem. Kinect Sports for $28.79+tax. Do I bite? No, I don't even have a Kinect yet.

So you went into your account on gamestop.com and clicked the "link Powerup card" button? And you're still getting the 10% discount applied?

You get a new number when you get a powerup card, as long as your using the same number as your old edge card it should still work. The reason mine doesn't work is i handed them my edge card and they handed me a new card with a new number. That would be my guess.

:D maybe your just lucky.

Edit: if you are using edge card number and are considering linking it up to powerup online (just not getting a new card) idk if it would still stack. So it's a gamble.

I really think it's just because I didn't link my card myself on the site. Have a new card, new number, even used it several times in-store and have almost 5,000 points.

Now it's just a question of risk/reward if I want to risk losing the discount at the price of getting points for the powerup card. 10% on every used purchase is obviously a better deal in the long haul so I think I'll be leaving it as-is for now.

:D 20used stacks with powerup.

tried stacking powerup and cag16 a few times didn't work, then stacked powerup with 20used fine.

28% off used games

looks like saver stacked to, but i didn't put it all the way through.

Yes. My accounts are linked and I get stacked power up 10% and the 20%.

I was browsing the site and debated a few games in my cart during their B2G1 sale and it was showing me the 10% for a linked Power Up card.

Trying to log into the GS website to confirm, but it's not letting me at the moment. Probably just my phone bein a pain this morning.

Edit: Nevermind, looks like a few other beat me to it :)

$39.49 for Black Ops pre-owned (with tax and free "SAVER" Shipping).

20USED and GameStop Power Up Card discounts stacked.

Am I going to get this game used anywhere else for near this price?

Probably not...I'm close to doing that as well. That or Alan Wake for $18 for the DLC, bad thing is no free shipping for Alan Wake.

Thanks! Picked up the only copy of The Fight: Lights out for Move...total after 20% and 10% PowerUp (FINALLY stacking) and tax was $26.60...and it took SAVER for free shipping.

Good day since NO Gamestop has any used move games in stock, and I have the B2G1 in store coupon to use still.

I manually linked mine. It stacked Powerup discount, 20USED, and SAVER. Got Legend of Zelda: Collectors Edition shipped for 21.97 after tax! :applause:

I used the code with my powerup discount and saver to buy super mario galaxy 2 I am crossing my fingers for a complete working copy.

This will be my first online purchase with Gamestop. Do the games usually come in good shape? Original boxes and what not?

Cool, they have a good copy at my local store. So worst case, I'll end up with that one. :bouncy:

Got Black Ops on the 360 for 40 and change. Already have it on my PS3 but with all the server issues I've had I'm going to jump ship and give the 360 a shot.

Handheld games rarely come complete - especially PSP games. As for console games, there's a good chance that you'll be getting a refurb. In general, you shouldn't have too much trouble with defecitve games, but it does happen. During one of Gamestop's recent B2G1 sales, I ordered Red Faction and GRAW 2, and both games didn't work. I ended up returning the games, but I could've easily just swapped them out in-store for working copies.
Interesting... my edge discount still works and stacks on the website even though it expired back in July.
No it doesn't, it just doesn't disappear. If you try to order something they'll cancel it.

That said though my active Powerup card refuses to be added at all.

Edit: Because I was entering the wrong number. *facepalm*

I placed six orders on gs website prior to this order all ps2 most games arrived disc and case only a generic case with no cover artwork and sometimes original case with cover artwork I would say it is 50-50 on the cases I received but the last order I placed on gs.com the games arrived in rough condition one did not work the other games came in cracked beat up cases I returned the games. Usually I do not mind incomplete games when I order from gs I know what to expect but mario galaxy 2 is a newer more expensive game complete would be greatly appreciated I would be satisfied with a original wii case with front and back cover artwork.

Good Call. Now do I bite on Prototype for $14? I'm still kicking myself for not snagging it from WallyWorld for $10.

I find it funny that in some cases you can choose to pick up a game in-store, but cannot add it to your cart online and checkout using in-store pickup as an option...

Edit: Damn it, they don't have NFS:HP in-stock used for either console :/

Why risk ordering online? You can get 20% coupon in stores now also. The Gamestop activity book has a couple of coupons in them. One is 20% off pre-owned games, other 20% off accessories and a 40% trade-in bonus towards any new game featured in the book. The coupons are good from 11-29-10 thru 12-9-10. The book should be available at the counter for the asking.

The kicker is it DOES stack with edge and/or retards card.....I mean rewards card.

Op or mod you might want to update title and original post.

I tried their pick up in store option. On you mark, get set, terrible.

Oh, I don't know...perhaps it's that the 20% off works on as many games as you can add into your cart (your coupon says limit ONE)? Plus no idiot employees from B&M giving you sh!t about stacking with Edge/PowerUp cards? And you don't have to hop around to 9 different Gamestop locations to get the few games you have on your list to buy since not all stores carry the same games? Online prices start out cheaper as well.

There's a few reasons we "risk" ordering online. You guys on CAG sure give a lot of sh!t to people posting good deals.

Why must these sales happen after my xbox died :bomb:

all i have now is a DS and around 90% of all their ds games are sold out online (all the good ones) . i haven't bought a game instore from gamestop in forever, might have to check my local store to see if they have anything.

Can someone post the "activity book" stuff, i didn't see it posted anywhere and would like to check it out.

Thanks for that tip. I was considering buying a game but without the extra 10% it's not worth it.
