Gamestop 30% Trade-In Bonus- Any Games Any Qty. - 3 Days Only 11/27-11/29
My Gamestop is offering $35 for Halo 3.
Is that the regular version, and without coupon?
Is that the regular version, and without coupon?
So for gamestop trade in is there any difference in the trade value if I just have the disc only versus I include everything(manual, box)? Or I always have to include everything?

Picked up Uncharted after trading in Metroid 3 and Bioshock. I got the edge card to stack. What I did was give the dude the edge card first, and then the coupon. The dude didn't think twice. On a separate note I also preordered Unreal Tournament III.

Nibi I have found the same process to help a lot.

1. Provide Edge Card and wait for it to scan
2. Provide coupon

This seems to be the best way in my opinion.

Actually can someone tell me how to get the edge card? I am totally new to the gamestop trade things...

Where does the money get stored?

How much can I get for BioShock & Naruto RoaN. Wiki for Bioshock is $25 but probably went down right? And there's no Naruto lol.

Damn't I wish I knew about the BF B2G1 Free. I could've made some cash and gotten Assassin's Creed. Funny thing, I was in the store Sunday but I thought the deal was BF thing. I was about to ask but I figured naw it expired.

Should I sell Halo 2 (will the price go up because Halo is such a phenomenom)??

It's $15 for a year and comes with a year's subscription to Game Informer magazine.

Alternately, you could try to get it for $2 (check the other thread in this forum) but that could take over a month to get which won't do you any good for this offer.

could someone tell me how much trade in for
Uncharted
Bioshock
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
thanks in advance ^__^

Around 30 for Uncharted, 25 for Bioshock, and maybe 18 for Sigma.

Halo 2 goes for $12 before bonus (just dropped from $15)

The credit can be put on a gift card, or your edge card if you have one.

FTI, traded in my LE Halo at gamestop w/coupon and edge card. $49 credit. Can't beat the Amazon Halo Legendary deal for an $11 upgrade. Thanks OP!

Geez that means the base is 35 (35 x 1.4). What's the price on a normal Halo 3!?!?

For those wondering were this came from it is apart of the Gamestop Weekly Newsletter so if you get it e-mailed to you it should be in there.

It is the same price so actually there isn't a difference in the Regular or LE.
What happens if the EDGE card expires when money is in it?
As long as the black strip doesn't get demagnitized your credit is good as long as you have the card. Your GS/EB membership doesn't have anything to do with your trade credit.

I don't know why I bother with my local GS. They always ask for the print out with the email but I keep forgetting. Looks like I'll have to go to the one near campus and sign up for EDGE there... Looks like they missed out on an edge sale.

Too bad. =X

Does this work with multiple games? I want to trade in Lair and Fear. How much do you think I'll get for these games?

If anyone would like to update the wiki with trade-in values, I got these amounts before bonuses:
(GC) Paper Mario - 7.00
(DS) Pokemon Diamond - 18.00
(GC) Mario Sunshine - 5.00
And they let me use my EDGE card with the coupon. So after the EDGE card and a refurbishing fee for my disc-only Mario Sunshine, I netted 39.85 after taxes.

$18 for Pokemon?! I don't play that game anymore. Guess I have another trip to make. With coupon and Edge card I should get $25.74. I'm getting much closer to that second ds* than I thought! Thanks KingFalcon!

*Wife took over first one.

Could someone tell me how much trade in for

MLB The Show 07
Madden 07
Tony Hawk's UnderGround 2
Splinter Cell

How often do those B2G1F and 25% off used games come in? I'm debating whether or not I should sell my Halo 3 and then rebuy it for cheaper.

For me it only took less than 2 weeks, but I'm not sure of exactly how long. Definitely not a month, though.

Anyone know what Super Paper Mario on Wii trades in for? I checked the CAG wiki and it said $25, but the quote is a couple monthes old and the game wasn't that old around then so I figured it might have dropped.

When I traded it in ~3 weeks ago it was worth $17.

Traded: (Base/Edge+Coupon)

AOE for DS $4/$5.60
Star Wars Rogue Leader GC $1.50/2.10
Transformers PS2 (not movie) $5/$7
Gauntlet Dark Legacy GC $9/$12.60

With the 10% coupon, edge, and B2G1 on last gen I'm hoping to get Battlefront 2, Rebel Strike GCN, and Marvel UA for the PS2 for about $3 out of pocket.

I can't complain how much I got for Halo 3, and got really excited to clean out some old stock (brain age 1 & 2, pokemon diamond, nytimes crossword), but then realized that I would/could make more if I did the whole ebay thing (even with the coupon and edge card). So I'm thinking thay may be the way to go. Thoughts?

If you're going ot buy more at GS, might be worth the time savings to just take it to them, esp considering hte B2G1 and 10% off coupon floating around.

It depends on the game. Just check the current sold prices of the items your looking to get rid of and them make a decision. Most of the time ebay is going to be better, but with trade-in deals like this one, in some cases the difference in selling on ebay may not be worth the trouble (except that you end up with cash.)

25 bucks for Bioshock....This is the kind of thing that makes me want to stand outside Gamestop with a wad of cash and wait on victims before they go into the store.

Yeah they do rape you on prices--but I'm too lazy to Ebay stuff. I just filled up 2 shopping bags with old (and new) games and let 'em have it. Eventually my bargain shopping leaves me in a house filed with bad games I'll never play. Every 18 months or so I get sick of it all and do a mass trade in when they have a special like this.

Even for games I like--I loved Bio Shock and Orange Box...but now that I've played them to death I'm really never going to look at 'em again. Might as well get rid of 'em while they have some value.

And then I buy a bunch of other bad games that will eventually meet the same fate.

For some reason I keep all my handheld stuff--probably because it doesn't take up as much room.

Lol seriously I've done that before. I was in Gamestop with my daughter one random afternoon and someone comes in to trade in DVDs. They had the first three seasons of the O.C. and Gamestop was offering $8 for each season. I walked over to her and said "I'll give you $30 for all of them." and she was all for it. I've never watched the show but for 10 bucks a pop you can't beat that price. Plus, the guy behind the counter was happy because he kept telling her "The trade-in prices are so low because Gamestop is trying to get rid of their DVDs." plus he had less work to do.

Guitar Hero III (game only - 360) gets $30 before bonus ($40 with, $43 with bonus + edge). Looks like I know where I'm going tomorrow.

If anyone wants the game, let me know.

I just called GS, and got the following trade quotes:

:360: Bioshock $18
:360: Halo 3 $35
:360: Earth Defense Force 2017 $7

I was looking for good GR -> GS credit transfers. Halo 3 is still the only decent option so far.

I just got the following quotes over the phone, all base prices before the extra 30% or Edge...

:360: Madden 08 - $25
:360: Enchanted Arms - $7
:ps3: Untold Legends - $6
:gc: Mario Kart Double Dash - $15
:ds: Sim City DS - $7

Hmm let me see Halo 3 traded in for 35 dollar credit then resold used for 55 bucks. Seems like the prefect bonehead deal to take advantage of. If anyone absolutely has to get rid of games I'd say go with Goozex and at least get something valuable for your game. I mean shit 35 bucks isnt een enough to get a new game. No thank you gamespot

rbailey, have you read any of the posts? It's $45.50 with coupon and $49 with edge. That's really not that bad at all and there's no wait involved.

Furthermore, BlockBuster sells Halo 3 used for $44.99 + tax. No need to come into a thread just to hate.

I think I'll have to transfer over some GameRush credit then.
