Gamestop B2G1 June 16th possibly YMMV

As I was flipping games today (went to 5 gamestops) I noticed one store had B2G1 signs up. Grabbed 3 strangleholds and walked up to the register, the Manager looked at the signs and sighed and said they weren't suppose to be up till the 16th so he did the over ride and I got the deal.

Might be YMMV, need someone to confirm. Either way might be worth it to save store credit that we are building up through trading now for next week. Again this might be YMMV, need someone else to confirm as well.

*edit* this was at a Mi store

:hot::hot::hot::hot::hot:

While my manager was doing marketing this weekend, we noticed new Buy 2 Get 1 free signs. Usually that means one is coming fairly soon. My guess would be at the end of the GameDays sale. There was no mention of this in the marketing book...

But you never know. The last one was out of nowhere...

I don't really have the money right now :whistle2:( but I'll try to pick up some cheaper stuff if this is true

build up my older PS2 game collection

Honestly, I did such a number on the last B2G1 and with the Xbox B1G1 and the current PS2 coupon, I really can't think of but about 4 games total that I want.

Orange Box (360)
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (GC)
Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
Mario Power Tennis (GC)

Not really a huge need for any of those. Thanks for the information though, might change my mind when it comes around.
shady selling old NEW inventory for used prices, how is that shady, you get a new game for a used price.
Actually, for some reason they JACK UP the prices when they switch them from new to used.

it's shady cause it's basically selling the same exact thing at different price points. It's like if you were to go to a circuit city and a toaster was 30 bucks in some poor zip codes but in others it would be 40 bucks in rich zip codes cuase circuit city knows that those customers in those neighborhoods can afford to pay more. By purposely taking off the plastic wrap on certain games, it allows gamestop to sell more inventory and to those who don't know that it's basically the same item.

So now basic economics are shady?

Yeah no kidding... businesses do this kind of stuff all the time. I'm sure if you owned a huge multi-store business you would use similar tactics. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what they are doing.

Gosh, what will people complain about next?

I don't understand how someone can complain about getting something NEW for the USED price.

You also get to use discounts on the item that you couldn't if it was new, so you can almost always get the price below the new price it was originally if they rose it in the first place.

Because the used prices are more than the Gamer's Day NEW prices.
