Have you been to Gamestop.com lately?

It's completely re-designed with larger, more colorful buttons.....and it's terrible!

The main reason I used Gamestop.com was for the "Check Store Availability" on used games.
It stored my zip code and BAM - showed the 4 nearest stores that had the game in stock for any game I looked up.
Now for every game I search for - used AND new, it shows all of my local stores but says "Call for availability"!

Ironically enough, the "store availability" feature on EBGames.com still works perfectly.

Hopefully this annoying issue gets ironed out soon, otherwise I'll be using EBGames.com from here on out.

Wow, I guess im not the only one that got upset about that! Im sure a lot of CAGs do the same thing. I used to look stuff up every week, glad to know that the ebgames site still uses the old site layout!

i've been playing with the site and i believe that when you enter your zip all the gamestop stores that appear have the game in stock. It is just uncertain of how many copies, thus the check availability. On rarer games i don't get stores close to me showing up but rather just farther away stores show up with check availability, thats y i think thats how this new system works

This. I ran a search and you can tell it is showing the GSs that should have the game, if it was just showing all of the stores in the area then the two that are about a mile away from me would have shown up but they didn't.

I already sent an angry response to their crappy new layout of buttons yesterday.

I suggest everyone who's that upset about it should do the same if they want to stop looking at this new awful layout and get the original one restored.

Go to ebgames.com you can see the locations there, I made sure I wrote down the locations on all the games I wanted in case they change it. If this is changed permanently, then it will severely decrease the amount that I shop at GS, which isn't much anyways. I would rather buy my games online but GS has good prices sometimes.

I don't actually have too much of an issue with the redesign. Like others already said, the only stores that pop up now are the ones that have it, and they just tell you to call instead of letting you know how many they have.

Nothing seems fundamentally broken, they really just streamlined it.

Now that you mention it, that seems to be the case.
I guess it's not as bad as I originally thought, but it is annoying that it doesn't store your zip code and display the store availability on an individual game's page anymore.

I'm writing my local senator AS WE SPEAK, this is outrageous!

Seriously, it's a video game store website(one that crashes during any major sales), it's NOT as big of a deal as some might think.
