GameStop.com "The Deal": Save $10 on any game priced $59.99 or more!

fuck! I just ordered a game from their website this morning and the order has already shipped.

EDIT- Just checked the difference between this and CAG16, it was better to go with the CAG16 in my case which saved me $7.20. So it looks like I'm ok

we should probably just have a thread where we update with each time they have one of these deals, but here it is anyways... not bad to get 7 bucks off games like Mass Effect 2, brings it down to Amazon prices... but no giftcard, ah well, maybe some of you with GS credit would choose this route.[/QUOTE]

ya, we've had a thread where it was supposed to be updated daily, but half the time the updates are worth mentioning, hence the thread dying lol.

thank you though.

This should work with Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver for those who have extra GS credit. It'll effectively chop the price down to 33 before taxes, and that's the cheapest out there right now, but I'm sure we'll see Amazon add a gift card sometime in the future.

Awww... I was hoping this is for B&M GS. I hate ordering new games from GS because I don't want to be shipped a non-factory sealed copy of a game I am buying as new.

There's something about carefully removing the factory seal wrapper that excites me. Yes, I'm that kind of fussy person!

Every single new game I have ordered from GS.com(over 10 games) have been factory sealed.

Be careful using this code for used games. Only orders between $40 and $43 are a better discount with DEALTASTIC than with CAG16+SAVER.

Gamestop online for new games is much better than B&M. The online store has never gutted my copies.

It was kind of funny when my friend went to go buy a game at Gamestop B&M and they only had a gutted copy. He tried to explain to the cashier for a couple of minutes how it was not new. The cashier was dumbfounded and didn't sympathize at all. He was looking for at least $1 off because it better be sealed for $59.99. He just left and went to BestBuy. (I was mad at him either way because he was still paying $60+tax.)

Preordered DA:OA and Dante's Inferno with this, thanks OP. Know for sure it's cheaper on Amazon considering taxes, but having trouble finding things to use my GS credit on.

Considering Bioshock and DW: Strikeforce as well, but prolly going to wait and will see if ToysRus has a Bioshock deal I can use my $60 gift card on.

Since I have a bunch of GS credit, I almost ordered ME2 this morning on the $5 off "deal". Now I'm glad I didn't. An extra $2 is better than nothing. I really hate that I have to pass on Amazon deals just because I have credit.

Not bad, I just traded in Tekken for their trade one get one for $20, picked up Uncharted 2 with the intention of returning it for store credit and pre-ordering Bioshock 2...now I'll just stop by GS to return it after work, come home and place my order. Sweet!

cag16 is the better deal. The most you will save with this "deal" is $1 and only if you're ordering something for $40. So, I guess if you were looking to save an extra dollar and have something you want between $40-43, than this might be what you've been waiting for.

I'm in the same boat, I hate paying the 60 for ME2, but I have credit there that I barely paid anything to get. I about ordered last night with the 5 dollar deal but held off to make sure there wasn't anything in the ad today that would make my credit more worthwhile. There wasn't. So ME2 it is today I guess.

Thanks! Goes great with pokemon gold/silver as someone said!

Although, now im thinking maybe I should pre-order form Amazon as well and see if they will add some extra deal.....Besides, they dont charge the card right away.

I used this deal to pre-order Yakuza 3. Unless they cancel my order, I'll get it for $52.67. This is cheaper than Amazon ($54.99) and you get an exclusive pre-order bonus (unless they change it). Plus, I'm pretty sure the free ground shipping you get with Gamestop will be faster than Amazon's free shipping.

I tried to pre-order Bioshock 2 and when I selected instore pickup it said it no longer was valid. I'll still probably do this but it would be nice to not have to wait for it to arrive.

Sucks you can't choose in-store pickup and get the $7 off. I was going to do this for FF13. Ground shipping is slower than in-store pickup, correct?

Not ALWAYS.

super street fighter 4 preorder also isn't a bad use of this code

after tax, came out to be 24 cents more expensive than my amazon + goldbox preorder, but I'll be using up gamestop credit

I'm interested in getting Bioshock 2 Special Edition, but the 7$ saving really isn't worth paying the 8$ tax or with a debit card over my edge credits. Oh well.

That's not entirely true... you can get a gutted game from GS online. There were quite a few reports of CAGs getting gutted games a while back.

whats the CAG16+SAVER?

A decent deal on: Dragon Age Origins: Awakening - Pre-order Ships 3/16/2010. Total cost is $35.71 after TX taxes and free shipping.

Used this and a $25 gift card I have been hanging onto for almost 2 years to pick up the Dragon Age expansion for $10.05 shipped. Finally got rid of that damn card, thanks OP.

If you're that eager to use your store credit, just wait for GS to do their next B2G1 sale on used games. At least you'll walk away not feeling like they took you to the woodshed.

CAG16 is a checkout code that gives you 16% off USED games.

SAVER is a code to give you free saver shipping (slower than normal but free. A CAG favorite for sure!)

Quick question peeps, who does Gamestop use for their shipping service? UPS, FedEx or USPS? I got me a 25 dollar giftcard from E-Rewards and I would love to put it towards GOW 3 and save the extra 7 dollars but I just don't want to mess with the Post office!

I can't get an order confirmation for some reason. I used a giftcard to get Bioshock 2, I got the order number on the site but never got the email, I checked the balance of the giftcard and it was still full, so I placed the order again, same thing...I saved the order number confirming my order this time too...guess I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens.

Same here, except I ordered ME2. My guess is that they don't deduct the order from your credit until it ships. My order still shows as open in order history, so I'm not too worried about it. I think you may have actually placed the order twice. Check your order history.

They still charge tax even when you use store credit? That's what's showing up on my order. This save $20 on next purchase coupon also showed up but WOT says that the site I was taken to has a bad rep.
Site is called one-time-offer.com

I used it to pre-order "Pokemon SoulSilver."

I'd normally wait for used, but I really want that goofy pedometer, for whatever reason, and I couldn't see it dropping below $35 any time soon.

Is there any reason one couldn't use this coupon more than once? I'd love to make a $32 order for "3D Dot Game Heroes," too.

Got 2 order confirmations this morning...thing is, the card I used was only enough for one game...now I'm wondering if they'll actually ship both.

I'm wondering about this too. I entered in my Edge card credit, and the tax is still showing up. I'm attempting to order ME2. I already have a pre-order at my local store, but if I can save $7, I would like to. Tax pretty much kills it though. Any ideas?

Thinking of pre-ordering FFXIII.
If a limited edition is announced I might want to cancel my order.
Will my gift certificate go back to the card/account?

This deal is awesome, but... if you preorder can you cancel anytime before it ships in case a better deal springs up somewhere else?

Both my pre orders for Dante's and DA:OA have the option to "cancel this shipment" under order history.

Felt confident in just blowing my GS credit with this deal, but now wondering if I should just wait and shop smart seeing that these games will just end up in my backlog.
