GameStop.com "The Deal": Save $10 on any game priced $59.99 or more!
Free Value Shipping on orders over $25 is decent enough.
Exactly, I usually get my games within a couple days of ordering with this shipping method.

Not when the item has in-store pickup. It makes no sense that "The Deal" says nothing about shipping restrictions, yet selecting in-store pickup automatically kills the coupon. That's just stupid. In-store pickup is not an "offer" or a coupon and should not kill the first coupon. The worst part is that skipping the free shipping saves Gamestop money!

Just a heads up. I used the 10DEAL coupon code to pre-order FFXIII, and it was working perfectly until I submitted my order. The coupon was there on the "confirm order" screen, then gone on the "Thanks for your order!" screen, so they overcharged me $10.

I called them about it and it sounds like they're going to fix it without any trouble, but I won't know for sure until later today when I call them back.

thats unfortunate for you =/ i hate dealing with customer service. when i buy stuff online I expect them to get everything right the first time

Thanks a lot. i was going to wait on mass effect2 till I was done with Dragon Age. But, 10 bux off and a 30 dollar gift card from Xmas brings mass effect to 23 bux with free shipping.

Yeah, I was going to pre-order, like, three different games, but in-store pickup kills the coupon. Looks like amazon gets my business.

I thought about posting a note about that too, because I just found the same thing. What I believe happened is that since orders over $25 are getting free shipping, that when you place it, the free shipping coupon overrides the $10 off. I got CS to honor it too, but it was a waste of about 10 minutes on the phone.

Hopefully they fix the system, still a great deal for a pre-order of ME2 and bonus item. I don't believe in pre-orders, but hell, if they'll give me $10 off and I get goodies, I'll order the day before. Still have to wrap up Fallout 3 while I wait for ME2 to arrive.

Wow, I just used the $7 deal about 6 hours ago to get Mass Effect 2. I mean it's only $3, but combine that with the fact that I missed the free DLC by about an hour, and I'm having a pretty bad day with ME2.

agreed. this sux. however, it does say "Valid only on orders shipping within the continental Unites States." nevermind that it still has to ship to the store, but oh well. it won't let me use the code with in-store pickup. so no sale for gs.

I never ordered from gamestop before how long does it take to get an email confirmation and the order to show up online? Thanks in advance.

I decided to put in a preorder for Battlefield Bad Company 2 (360) with this coupon. With free value shipping and 6% tax it worked out to $52.99 shipped which is a little better then amazon.

Can trade credit be applied to an online preorder after the fact?
Any guesses on The Last Guardian release date? This deal is AAA for those with GS credit.
It is. Pre-order anything you might want and cancel if Amazon does better. They don't take the credit until they ship.

Gah, wishing I read this thread before I jumped on the very same deal. GameStop will be getting a call... good to know that they honored it.

EDIT: False alarm, I just got the confirmation e-mail stating that I'm getting the game for $52.99 after tax. Phew. I had $20 of GS credit laying around that I wanted to combine with this great deal.

I decided to bite on God of War 3. I'll get it a week after launch, but that will just give me time to finish the GOW Collection. Thanks. :)

The deal today is $5 off game you're buying & $10 off a future order on $59.99 and above. Could I cancel my current order and do this?
