Well, we have another trade in deal, while it isn't as good as the trade 3 get $10, it's something. Anyways, here is what is going on.

Trade 3 or more games and get 20% extra credit. This can be combined with the More/Edge cards too.

Any trades towards the purchase or reserve of Gears of War/Final Fantasy XII/Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess get a 20% increase. *Systems don't qualify for the bonus as usual.

Buy 1 get 1 Free on select used titles
I don't have a list of the titles for this promo, but if you are in the market for some old cheap games, this might be for you. Granted, they are mainly sports games after a glance through the list today, so take it for what you will.

I'll try to update this as more becomes available, but for now, this is what i remember. FYI, the 20% increase deals aren't supposed to stack, if you get them to do it though, you're one of the lucky ones.

*EDIT: Forgot to mention that the select titles are USED.
Ok i have a question to those that work at Gamestop/EB dont know where on the forums to post it but this is the deal i used so excuse me if this shouldnt go here.

I did a trade in and the manager instead of adding 30% took 30% off the total value for my trades. I ended up with $107.36 back in credit. I went back to talk to the manager and she told me that she has to wait to get it cleared up cause she doesnt have authorization to fix it.

What i thought was simple is now pretty complex. And waiting is not an option for me cause i need the credit to put towards some games and stuff coming soon.

Its easy math add 30% of $107.36 to that and then take 30% for the bonus and i should come out with $181 bucks or so.

What is Gamestop/EB policy on things like this? Note i didnt get a receipt even when i asked for them to reprint me one last night. I've got the district managers phone number as well so i can call. Hopefully some compensation is in order for this mess up.
Actually, doing the math the simple way you are saying, you'd be losing money. Example:

$150 - 30%(150 x .7) = $105
$105 + 30% (105 x 1.30) = $136.50
$136.50 + 30% ($136 x 1.30) = $177.45

Plug in your own starting number and use the equations I listed and you will see that it's not as simple as adding 30%. Now, if they added 30% of the original trade credit BEFORE they took off the 30%, that would work.

Actually, that's not right.

Original Value was "N".
You should have received 1.3N
You did receive .7N

To fix it what you need to do is:

.7N = 107.36
N = 107.36/.7
N = 153.37

wow so its more than i thought it should be. the problem is that I think they are gonna only want to give me my original trade in ammount. And not the extra 30% we'll have to wait and see.

But i'd like to hear from some of the store employees around here as to what the procedure is when something like this happens. Cause its a pretty big screw up if you ask me.

Took three games today, these are the prices after whatever adjustments were made:

NBA 2k6- $2.75
Battlefield 2- $32.45
LOTR:BFME2- $32.45

the bottom 2 say 14.50 price override on each, and all are for the 360.
No idea how they did it, but I picked up Gears of War for just $2.29 off a gift card and $5 down on halo 3.

Never had the problem myself or heard of it as most of the stores around here are competent enough to know whats going on :O. Just get up with the DM and he should be able to help work things out, at least my DM would.

got the following trade in values:

xbox 360:
madden 07 $22
saints row $20

xbox:
mlb baseball 2k6 $4

ps2:
tourist trophy $11
battlefield 2 modern combat $8
mercenaries $7
fifa world cup germany 2006 $11
madden 07 $14
ncaa football 07 $12

If I buy an Xbox 360 and trade in my original xbox I would get $80 off right. Then if I traded in 7 xbox games towards Gears of War I'd get an extra 40% off Gears?? Also how do you get that gamers card where you get an extra 10% on games. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks

I believe that offer expired a week ago.

no im pretty sure it expires the sunday after thanksgiving

It's not on right now, but if you look at the BF thread, it says that it's part of the 3 day sale over that Thanksgiving Weekend. So I believe it is off for now, then on for those 3 days. And over those 3 days too, there's 50% bonus for trading in 5 or more games. Just a little extra wammy there :)... I'm not sure about the extra 20% now for GoW since it's techincally not a pre-order anymore, someone else would have to elaborate on that.

Trade 5+ is an extra 30%, not 50%.
