Q: Is this sale for new or used games?
A: New games only. In the past, there have been B2G1 sales on used items associated with Game Days, so keep an eye out for that.

Q: Will all of the games be "gutted" or opened?
A: YMMV. Some stores I have been to basically open everything up and dump it into the bins. Others will only open a few copies and leave the rest behind the counter. If you want a sealed copy, make sure to ask.

Q: Is this in-store or online?
A: Both.

Q: Will the store accept a print-out of the 10% off coupon?
A: YMMV.

Q: Does the coupon work for one item or the whole purchase?
A: It works on all Game Days items bought in a purchase.

Q: Is there going to be a B2G1 on used games and accessories?
A: As previously mentioned, there could possibly be one later, but as of now, nope. There is only a B2G1 on used PS2 games when you buy a new PS2 system.

I hardly looked at the Wii list because I was having a conversation with my friend-- if I recall correctly, House of the Dead is 19.99 (definitely was not 50%) and Manhunt 2 was 19.99 I believe. The other two, I do not know. I am going to guess they weren't 50% off, or they would have jumped out at me.
 
had a feeling FFI&II will be $10.. but if you guys have a kmart near you, try to see if they have it, it should be $5.99
 
I wonder if the gamedays coupon works the same way other % off coupons have worked in the past, taking the % off the original price and not the same price.

I think the only thing 360 owners would want to know is how much Tomb Raider Anniversary is going to be.
 
Now as far as I know these should be the sale prices. UMD's are not included since they will be 4.99. A few good ones in here.

If your store is doing a DSi midnight launch they have the OK to begin the sale then, they will just adjust prices manually. Also, a few stores will be open at 9AM on Sunday for the DSi so the sale will be up by then too.

Expect most of these to be gutted since the bins are to be full of product. Sorry guys.

Now in previous sales some of the stuff gets dropped even more towards the end while some stuff gets taken off. Also GS might add more games to the sale during the sale.

As for the B2G1, they usually do it for a short time during the sale, not during the entire thing. Once again, will keep you posted.

If there are any changes to the prices or product I'll try to update ASAP.

I'll get CivRev and Metal Slug for that price, but that's bout it. (Already have Valkyria.)

Pretty disappointed overall, not nearly as good as the last couple years.
 
Those are some disappointing discounts on most of the big name titles. I think I might just hold out for a B2G1 sale. Unless you want new copies of some of those games, you can actually get them cheaper if you're patient enough to wait for a 20% off coupon. I was considering getting Chrono Trigger, FFIII and/or Civ Rev for the DS, but the drops aren't worth it even with the 10% off coupon...
 
Wow, that is awesome on valkyria. I was looking at all the other prices thinking "Damn, this deal is a bust" but then my eyes literally bulged when I got to valkyria. I am gonna hit that gamestop HARD on the 5th.

It was a great game that didn't sell well. Looking at Ebay they are hitting about ~40 for a used one. It may drop in the future but it will be hard to find.
 
Sa2vador you rock bud! Picking up Hidden and Dangerous 2 for the PC at .99 is an insta buy, just bummed on the lack of xbox 360 stuff. Props to all you DS, PSP, and PS3 owners, happy hunting.
 
I wouldn't buy VC thinking you'll make money by holding onto it and selling it. Anything that goes up in value these days gets reprinted, even if its Gamequestdirect who does it. As long as licensing issues aren't involved like with Marvel vs Capcom 2.
 
Every single title I had my eye on has only a minor discount. Rather disappointing list in comparison to years past. Almost every single title on the list has already been available, one way or another, for the same price or better at some point. Granted these games are new, but I am not one to get excited to peel the plastic off of a game (or the gamestop reseal sticker in this case). B2G1 is still the bread and butter.

My take on gutted games is this what if Best Buy, Sears, Macy's, Walmart allowed their employees to take home merchandise. Would you want to buy "new" LCD TV, Refrigerator, underwear, socks, shirts employees of these stores took home to "try" out?
How bout the car dealership selling you a "new" car with 10,000 miles on it?

GS is selling used products once the item has been opened. That is why retailers sell open box items for big discounts, even if it was opened in the parking lot of the store and returned 10 minutes after purchase by a customer. If a manufacturer sold GS "new" items that were opened they would immediately file lawsuits citing breach of contracts. There is no excuse for this practice. Gamecrazy does not do it, yet their stores usually are a lot smaller than Gamestops.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 features the Marvel license which was bought up by another publisher since that game released. VC is an original IP created by Sega. As long as Sega doesn't sell that IP it's safe.

I wouldn't say it is "limited" but it certainly isn't selling well enough where Sega would ever do a reprint themselves. In my honest opinion, it will never be sold for less than $30.00. If a third party comes along and reprints the game, it still won't be less than $30.00 for a copy. The prospect of a third party reprint is also unlikely, as Sega probably wouldn't be keen on letting a third party reprint their game (at least not like Atlus or NIS).

I don't think it will be under $30 either, except finding it in rare instances when it is clearanced. I am referring to its value for holding to resell, I don't think it will be worth it, barely any games are anymore. Why would Sega be against GQD reprint though, it would be more money for them?
