Yeah...still no list, BUT

CAGs have been mentioning lists received by stores and new price markings taking place. Its all a matter of us drilling employees for info or attaining the list.

Just noticed the Game days sale ad in the latest game informer. Last year's sale was pretty decent so its worth a thread. I'll try to post the ad and coupon later. Best part is the coupon doesn't say anything about being void if copied. No specifics yet on the sale.

"Hundreds of games and accessories up to 50% off"

Things to note:

Well, Virtua Fighter seems to be thirty bucks everywhere around me.

The Wal-Mart nearby is totally crappy, so yeah.

And eh, no Gamecrazy's near me, :/
 
Damn, kind of weak lineup compared to last year. I'm in for a Katamari and Monster Hunter 2. Interesting to see the Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 expansions back again, they must have a ton of them.

Well fuck I guess I'll be cutting my legs off then :) I haven't spent more then $14-15 after tax yet on a PSP game and while Monster Hunter 2 is fairly tempting I'm probaby better off waiting and taking a gamble on getting a better deal then breaking my max price paid so far by about $6 with the backlog I have going, besides I could probably get along ok without legs, as long as I have games nearby and don't need to walk to get to them :D
 
Eh, I'm kind of interested in seeing full lists for the PSP....one man's trash is another man's treasure.

If not, I might be in for House of the Dead and MH2 or Brave Story.

Well, if my gamestop stores gut the games, I won't be buying any of the 360 games. If they don't gut, I'm picking up, Fear, Burnout, and Timeshift.

IMO the list is pretty lame (basing on the info so far). Last years was WAY better and way more exciting. I was actually saving up money for this event as of a couple weeks ago....but I might just go buy mass effect for pc now. Odin sphere is the only thing that looks good for me to get (and a few others are good deals but not in the market for).

Are you trying to say that all of my PSP games must be shit sandwich :D I bought one game from eBay and traded with a CAG for one, rest of my games I bought new at B&M stores with the only PSP game I bought at GameStop being OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast which was part of the Game Days Sale last year.

ok here is what to do , if you want the stuff sealed, go to your gamestop tomarow and say to the manager, i read blah blah blah is part of your game day sale and whould like sealed copies and ask them to hold them for you, any good manager will hold them sealed for you, if they say they cant say can i have the customer service number and watch the fire light under their butt and bend over backwards for you. a managers bonus is all about customer service.

Though wouldn't this rise the question of "How the hell did they know this game would be out during the sale?"
 
House of the Dead 2 & 3 I will definitely get (or wait until it's cheaper) and Virtua Tennis 3 360 looks tempting. I kinda wish too they had more AAA titles for 360 and Wii -- but PS2 may not be that bad. It's not quite as good as last year's list but I think it'll be fine. What's sad is most of the games on the list I already have.

these are the sale prices listed, and every store only has 1 to 2 copies so like I said talk to manager early or get there June 2 early. Managers really do want to sell the stuff as quick as possible and increase sales. so if your dealing with a d*** head manager just be nice and say pleeease, no manager should ever turn a sale away, or heres a idea say hey if I get a gift card for the items I want will you hold them. Anyway

Hmm...I think I'll pick up Brave Story and Odin Sphere at $20 a pop.

Is Valhalla Knights for $20 even worth it or is it better to try and find it for less? I like dungeon crawlers, but I'm on the fence on this one from some of the reviews I've read.
 
I'd probably bite on the Timeshift for 360 since the demo was pretty fun, but I'm sure every "new" game in this sale will have been gutted, sitting on the shelf forever and have been rented out yet still somehow new "new" which I do not do. If I get lucky and do find a real sealed copy I'll pick it up, otherwise these sales anger me.
 
VF5 and Virtua Tennis 3 for $40? Not too bad a deal. Just about the rest of the list is disappointing as hell, though. Last year's sale was legendary. I got so much good stuff for super cheap.
