Gamestop gift card $40 for sale at $38.50

What exactly do you want to happen by posting your auction? It's for a $40 gift card to GS, with 1 bid at $.01 and $38.49 shipping. Someone would have to be pretty dumb to place another bid on this and to have the end bid be more than $40. Is that what you're hoping will happen? That people don't notice the $38.49 shipping and bid it up so the total is over the $40 value of the card? Shady if so.
Nah thats not my intention. If it happens then I guess Im lucky.. So you up for the gift card?
You do realize that if someone bids without looking at the shipping that ebay will easily cancel the order for excessive shipping if the buyer refuses to pay and contact ebay. I highly doubt your auction will last till close though. The listing is extremely shady.

You guys are a real paranoid bunch. I wouldnt have over 200 positive feedback if I were shady. Stop reading so much into my listing. At the end of the day I could list the auction as :
1) Minimum bid of $38.50 with free shipping or
2) Minimum bid of $0.01 with $38.49 shipping

I just chose the latter. It adds up to the same thing at the end of the day. Sheesh

First of all, $1.50 is practically nothing in terms of savings. I would at least give the buyer 10% off.

Second of all, reported also for excessive shipping.

you guys who report are such jerks.. anyway Smitty I'm willing to sell it to you for $37. How do we go about the transaction on this site? I'm not familiar with trading on this site. First time.

.... and to think I almost got NARU'ed for selling $50 itunes cards to those in other countries whom didn't have access to them for $60....
I will NEVER accuse ebay of being consistent...

Since none of you guys have feedback, I'd suggest Smitty sending the $37 first via PayPal purchase. Then after, you should send the gift card with a delivery confirmation for your protection.

Smitty is protected under PayPal if the deal goes sour, and you're protected with delivery confirmation if Smitty claims to have never received the gift card when you sent it out.

That's what I'd do at least.

That would work except DC doesn't seem to help with PayPal.

I sold an item awhile back that the USPS Delivery Confirmation showed delivered, and the buyer "claimed" he never got it. Filed a chargeback through PayPal, I submitted the DC number as proof of shipment and him receiving it, never got a reply from PayPal and after about 3 unanswered e-mails, I logged into PayPal one day to see the money that was being held has been returned to the buyer, as well as a $10 fee taken. So I was out the item, the money, plus another $10 of my own money. fuck PayPal and Delivery Confirmation, apparently it doesn't mean shit.
