Gamestop gift cards number only from eBay in store?

Has anyone had any problems using Gamestop gift cards purchased from eBAy for in store purchases without the card? I bought 2 $25 cards yesterday and had the codes emailed to me. I tried to preorder the Beatles rockband with them and found out you can no longer pay for preorders for in store purchase with gift cards. I am hoping I can bring in the codes with me for use In store.
 
You can't. They'll need the main number for the gift card and the small code that goes with it, otherwise they're not usable.

If you just have the code, I don't think any store would do anything with just the card code or codes.

Heh, that's what I did with my Nike giftcard from MyCokeRewards.
