GameStop: Half Off Used Sports Games 8/1-8/2only

Do NOT call about NCAA 13 pre-owned. ESPECIALLY if it says low stock. Go in, grab it, and have a listing of the ad ready.
 
I've got the only one in my area on hold.

I guess I will find out if it's an in store deal when I pick it up in a few hours.

Same here, price was adjusted and also told me that it has a limit one game (no double copies) per person.
 
Yeah, I got an Xbox and PS3 copy of NCAA 13 for $20.24 each after the promo and PUR. It didn't work in the system, so the employee manually overrode it after I showed him the ad online. Make sure you print out the ad or have it on your smart phone, otherwise you might be SOL.
 
Found a ps3 and 360 copy at a store around me and put them on hold. Good to see this is working instore without much issue. I will for sure take a copy of the ad with me.

Anyone think I'll able to use my PUR b2g1 coupon to work with this? Wouldn't mind tossing in another game that's around 20 for free.

Got it to work at a second GS, needed override. They also had they ad in store, like one of those legal pads you can tear away pages from the top.

No issues at my store. There was a color ad advertising this deal and the upcoming extra 50% trade value with pre-owner purchase. Did not ring up automatically but the worker had a bar code he scanned.
 
Any official word whether this includes racing games? I know early in the thread everyone was saying no but ha that changed?

NBA 2k12 is still the best sports game out right now. Should be able to snag it for $16 which is a solid price. The NBA / MLB 2k12 combo is $30 which is also a pretty solid deal.

Really wish racing games were involved on this. I'd be picking up a couple more titles.
 
Had no problem showing a copy of the ad; some GSs had the ad, others didn't.

Picked up Mario Tennis Open for $15.xx, plus a few MLB The Show 12s.

If you can find it, the NBA / MLB 2k12 combo is probably a better deal than just buying MLB. Combo would be $30 today...MLB is like $27. You can still get $13 TIV for NBA 2k12 at Gamestop (if that holds for the 50% extra you'd make a killing).

That's a great idea, I'm gonna see if I can snag the combo pack as opposed to the single disc.

Oh well, in for The Show 07 through 11 and Blitz: The League 2. Thanks OP!

Before discounts $58.94, after $33.94. I know it's a lot for sports games, but Blitz: The league 2 is kind of a rare find anymore, and it isn't too cheap to pick up on it's own. And, I've been wanting some cheap MLB The Show games. I may only play 11, but the rest will look good behind it in my collection :lol:
 
Racing games are under sports. Ridge Racer 7 would be $3.50($6.99) & I read they added a patch to the disc version so it'll be in 3D like the PSN version!:applause:

When I was in gamestop the guy actually had the email promo and read it to me the way it was intended. The promo is supposed to be valid on "traditional" sports games like NBA, MLB, Madden, FIFA, NASCAR, etc. There were inclusions like WWE, UFC and such, but non-traditional arcade like games are not suppose to be included. He rang up some games to check and the computer indeed did the 50% off like it should on some games. There were also several games that were simply excluded, but I didn't ask which because I was just hoping for some Need for Speed. Obviously the website didn't get the fine print in there correctly, and many of you will probably be able to get an override, but do it sooner rather then later as a well informed employee should shoot you down on anything the computer doesn't automatically knock 50% off of.
 
They acted like they didn't know what I was talking about at my GameStop. I'll hit another store with a copy of the ad.

You have reached your pickup limit. I believe it is 3 per 24 hours. Also, if you don't pick something up the first day (or the cashier doesn't scan the pick up sheet when you buy) to "clear the system" it still counts against you apparently. The iPhone app tells you if you hit the limit, but the website just sits there.

Wow, i have no idea about that, I did and 2 of my pickup is not avialable "cannot be locate"

damn it, do they track by email??? wondering....

Picked up Madden and NCAA 11 for Xbox and Tiger 12 for PS3 for $25. Asked in store about Kinect Sports they said no however on the website it is working. Will go back tomorrow and check it out. Also the guy had no idea about the promo.
 
Picked up Tiger 12 and 13, no 50% off of Motorstorm Apocolypse. i tried talking the guy into it, but he wasnt budging.

To start out I returned and rebought the pre-owned Arkham Asylum and new Arkham City GOTY I bought a few days ago. Got $21 back in credit since those are lower now in terms of price.

I had looked online to see what games were considered sports titles so I could get 2 pre-owned games for 50% off. Decided on Tiger Woods 12 and NFS Hot Pursuit, both are listed under the Sports heading.

Pick out those two games, and say to the guy, "These are both 50% off, right, according to this flyer right here." He goes, "Yea, no they're not". Obviously I was like it says Any preowned sports games, no exclusions, he said "Yea idk but these aren't 50% off." I told him forget and just give me the credit, he said "I'll give you Tiger Woods but not NFS."

So I got that and left.

Went to another store, complained, made my argument that if Hot Pursuit is a racing game, and racing games are sports games, it has to be 50% off under the promo. 2nd store agreed and gave me NFS for 50% off.

Long day but got my $21 in savings off the Batman games, and got two solid titles in Tiger 12 and Hot Pursuit for that $21.

I think he was justified, maybe didn't need to act like however you think he did; but online racing games are obviously not working with it...just saying
 
Well I can understand that, but if the ad/promo say "Any pre-owned sports title", with no fine print noting exlcusions, and Racing games are listed as Sports titles, then there should be no issue. And the guy in the 2nd store read me the promo email and it said nothing about exclusions. In fact, it said that employees were to manually take 50% off any pre-owned sports titles.

Sweet. Looks like I may be trying to grab me a racing game.

Doubt Cars 2 would be included, but I might have to try since it's listed as a sports title online.
