I'll share my experience... I bought Destroy All Humans at EB for the used price the day after it came out. It was a copy that an employee bought and traded in. It was pre-played, yet "new," because they were nice enough not to slap the price sticker on it. But I also wondered... how far ahead did these guys have the game? He said he beat it... it took me about 10 hours or so. Its possible he did it in one day, but I'm guessing he got it ahead of time. Any employee "insiders" know how far ahead you're allowed to get games? I'm just curious. ;-)
Uhh, maybe 5 minutes before it hits the floor? 95% of the titles come in and the same day they are sold. Certain titles may arrive early to tie in with a movie (Van Helsing comes to mind), or if the game is in huge demand (Halo 2).
Also, the employee may have bought the game and hated it so he traded it back so far. He simply lied to get the sale from you.
