They prob receive more trade ins of 360 copies due to there being more problems with it, like the dreaded Graveyard bug. So it makes sense that PS3 copies would trade in for more.

Indeed - base values and advertized trade-in promos are not YMMV at GS - they work the same way at every store. So if you have to go to another store either you or the clerk are doing it wrong ;).
 
If i trade in kirby dream collection, do i need to include the book? Dont know where i put it and the paper box is gone...just game box left.
 
It's Gamestop. You can pull the game disc out of your ass and they'll accept it. At least that's how I imagine how some of their games get to be in the condition they're in.

I think it's a bit of fuck and confusing to some customers, but I've been told by a store mgr at a GS that the extended return policy only applies for NEW items. It is still 7 days on pre-owned items. I think in some cases it may be YMMV though.

The receipt uses a very carefully worded disclaimer:

"Any new product purchased between 10/1/12 and 12/24/12 may be returned with receipt by 1/15/13. Package must be unopened and in resale condition."

not anything, only -> *new + unopened*

u won't be able to get 8. they have to reserve some for kindle purchases because of the buy kindle/get free $25 kindle card promo going on til the end of jan.
and even then qtys are low since they are just now starting to carry them

Apparently the guy who did the whole process was new at GameStop.
I went to the other GameStop and trade in forza horizon for $35 just fine and my Amazing Spiderman 3D for $15. They're on clearance at target for $7.58 by the way.

ya a manager did my trade in and he thought i was trying to scam him with the 3/+$10 and then these super tivs. i had one pile in multiples of 3s and 1 pile for the super tivs and he looked really annoyed and weary trying to tell me just to ring them all up together. then when he totaled the 3/+10 pile he was like, whoa thats strange, all the games got a 3.33 bonus (9.99 for every 3)..so then he figured out i was right, chillaxed, then proceeded to ring up my super tiv pile and they all came up at the end easy peasy. finally, i talked to him about concept art and he shook my hand and told me to come back any time, so i told him i was coming back tomorrow with more games lol. maybe pickup a pulse headset cuz its on sale.

I traded in Alice, RDR and Sly last night and just realized that Madden 2013 and LBP Vita are on the list. I got both recently with an Amazon Vita bundle deal and don't need them so I guess I will be heading back tomorrow.
 
I assume only the PS3 version is the rare one, since you can more or less just pickup the game + keyboard at Madcatz online shop whenever you want for like 30+shipping for the Wii/360
 
I have a question. Does any guys think it is good to flip the new game that you haven't played to GameStop to earn some money? Since I do not played dead island, sly collection, I am on the fence...
 
how much are GS normally pay for a dualshock 3? I read somewhere on here $22. Is that for the normal PUR or the pro? And since their controllers are on sale. Would the trade in price increase if I wait until the sale is over?

I do if it's at least a 2x flip and it's in my current backlog. I figure it will get as cheap or cheaper as time goes on if I want to play it later. I figure why hold onto it when I can make a significant (credit) profit now? I lost count of how many times I've turned in B:AC and Zelda:SS from past sales.

Traded an extra one today and it was $22 base.
 
Traded in my NCAA Football 13 copy that I got at launch after unloading AC3 a couple days ago as well. My GS still had some of those 7 inch Sophix tablets, any one able to recommend one?

Thank you, so your evidence points to older DS3 having issues and the camouflage not having issues. I have a 2008 DS3 that is still working fine just to compare to you. Going to keep my camouflage controller then.
 
I haven't had a problem with any Dualshock controllers. I used my first two for nearly 5 years w/o any major problems. I like the matte finish on the newer black controllers compared to the slick shiny finish on the old ones. Also it may just be me, but the tops of the sticks on the newer controllers seem a little flatter, it's easier to keep your thumbs on them.

It is impossible for me to finish two games in this week. Maybe I can finish dead island, but the sly collection.....I am not willing, but also willing..damn..on the horns of dilemma.

blitz 2 is a collector's item. if you have blitz 2 or metroid trilogy in good to near mint condition you could probably sell it for MUCH higher.

No. I don't know where the guy's getting his numbers, but these things routinely sell for $20-$30 on eBay.
 
I'm VERY tempted to trade in DA:O ultimate since GS normally sells it for 14.99 and Batman AC GOTY since I haven't touched my copy since BF.

I do need some Vita stuff after all.
