Gamestop new price drops - Enslaved PS3/360 - $19.99

If you've got a Kmart near you it may be better to check there next week. It'll be $15. But yes I'd say it's well worth $20 particularly if you care about story.

Just to note: I believe k-mart will be having it on sale for 14.99 (both systems) starting sunday for the week according to Josh the k-mart rep.

Damn. Used with PUR would be 16.20... Trades to Amazon for $11. Good 7 day rental for $5.20...

Or new at the K next week for $15... I guess that's the better deal, huh?

I was going to pick up a copy using one of my $10 codes from last spring, but they don't seem to be working. The expiration date is 4/2013, so unless I just unknowingly woke up from a coma I should be within the time frame. I'll see what customer service can do. Thanks for posting.

After playing Heavenly Sword right before, I was a little disappointed with this one, cut scene and framerate issues mainly but throughout the whole game I got the feeling I was playing Jak and Daxter or one of it's sequels.

I played through this on PS3 and didn't notice any cut scene or framerate issues.

This game is great, and easily worth $20. It was my favorite game of last year.

Yeah I didn't notice anything either, but I have heard the framerate complaint. I actually got a Heavenly Sword vibe when playing the game. The color palette used, the over the top attacks, the oddball sidekick characters, and voice acting all felt similar to HS despite the different setting and story.

I really dug Heavenly Sword (I knew about Anna Torv before Fringe started because of the game), so I'm interested in this. I remember reading the previews and being stoked, but the reviews were meh and it just sorta faded away. I'll throw it on the huge backlog pile for $15, though.

I went the other direction and played Heavenly Sword after completing Enslaved, and while they're both good games, I don't think you can really compare them given the vastly different gameplay.

With that said, $20 is a fair enough price for Enslaved, but given lackluster sales and the current price drop, you'll likely find for $10 or less in a couple more months.

Got Enslaved new w/ security seal and shrink wrapped for 13.99 @ amazon warehouse deals months ago, lol. If TIV ever pops up for this game again expect some Kmart copies @ Amazon warehouse.

Namco-Bandai America: "Building Enslaved from the ground up will be worth SO much more than spending less money on localizing some Tales of games!"

*Four months later, Enslaved is selling for less than Tales of Vesperia, which came out two years earlier.*

I enjoyed Enslaved a lot.
The fighting mechanics aren't too great but the story and environments and characters made it very worthwhile to me. It's pretty short, worth plaything through quick and then trading in; unless you get attached and want to keep it around for sentimental reasons. :)

Sorry, I added cut scene after the fact and didn't really read it over. I should have elaborated, I had issues with the cut scenes, voice acting and stuff. I thought Ninja Theory did a much better job with Heavenly Sword.

I wasn't really meaning to compare the two so much as saying I played one before the other and the reason I did that in the first place is they're both games from Ninja Theory.
Thanks for the Kmart tip next week. Gamestop can go to hell even if they sold the game for $10.:applause:
a gamestop hater how cute. and better yet one named "Rodster"

Kmart carries an exclusive edition that comes with a comic book. It has a different barcode and if I remember correctly Amazon wasn't accepting this edition. I could be wrong though.

Enslaved really didn't get the credit (or sales) it deserved. Its an amazing game. Very Life After People meets God of War with a splash of Borderlands vibe. I'm just over half way through it (Chapter 9 of 14 or so I think?) and its been great so far.

I heard the PS3 version has issues with framerate, anyone know if the 360 version has these same problems? I'd like to know which version would be better to get.

Thanks for the info about the comic book, I was going to wait for it to drop to $10 but I'll pick it up from kmart when it hits $15 if their version is exclusive.

If kmart got the game for $15 i will pick it up then. I was hoping gamefly would have there monthly sale, so i can pick it up for $12 but i don't think it gonna happen.

Where did you find that it was going to be $14.99. I cant find any kmart listing that says this. I have so wanted this game and this is an outstanding price

I'm trying to figure out what Enslaved and Jak & Daxter have in common other than that they are both video games. Jak & Daxter being one of my favorite games ever and Enslaved being one of my least favorite games of 2010.

If you don't play many games, then it's easy to lump them into the same categories without really thinking about it. It's like how I would probably not be able to tell the differences between a $100 bottle of wine and a super cheap value bottle. It stems from lack of experience. :)

Splatterhouse is worth picking up...I grabbed it for 30 awhile back when it was on sale on Amazon and I have to say its a bit shallow, but its an old school beat'em up at heart and its got a good/laughable story but you do unlock all original Splatterhouses.

I'm finisning Enslaved now after finally getting rid of BlOPS and Reach to GS with the current promo. It's a great game I look forward to playing it each time. Kinda god of war meets uncharted with a future post apocalypse vibe. Not very hard so its fun and easyy to move througn. Easily worth twenty.

Enslaved is absolutely worth it! I got it on Amazon for 25, but after playing it I would've gotten it at full price - amazing game.

It has been a while since I played the game, but I only remember one point in the game where there was a frame drop in the PS3 version. I feel like people always over-exaggerate frame issues in games. If there is one or two points in the game where it drops a few frames, the whole game has frame rate issues. It is a 8hr or so game with 10-20sec of frame issues...nothing to worry about

sadly the only kmart near me would cost more than the 5$ difference in gas to get to thus negating any deals.

it would probably cost around 10$ in gas to drive there not to mention time.

the only way it would be a good deal is if i was out there anyway.

its too bad really because i see all these crazy kmart deals on cag. too bad they dont apply to sears as well eh.

You're not imagining things. I too had a $10 off code from pre-ordering Red Dead Redemption and they changed the expiration date on that from 4/28/2013 to 12/31/10.

I tried right around New Year's to find something to order to kill off the code before it expired(three years earlier than it was supposed to:bomb:), but that effort was for naught.

So when that one $10 off code was working for multiple people about a month ago I used that to get $10 off a new/sealed copy of Red Dead Redemption for myself to make up for them shafting me on the $10 code they gave me and took away.
