Gamestop new price drops - Enslaved PS3/360 - $19.99

And the ending.....:puke:! Let's just leave it at that.
Out of curiosity, knowing that the main themes and relationship between Trip and Monkey are based on ancient folklore, does anyone actually know if it sticks remotely close to the source?

I looked into the original story when the game was first in previews, but only briefly.
Enslaved (Pre-owned & NEW) are both OOS online. I tried ordering the other night, but the SAVER promo code wasn't working with the used copy for some reason. Does it need to be a $20 purchase total for SAVER to work?
I believe you have to get the total to $25 for SAVER shipping to qualify anymore and the free shipping applies automatically.

FYI: The code applies automatically to the PRE-discount subtotal, so if you wanted to you could use CAG16+EDGE/PUR and still get the saver shipping if I remember correctly.

If it comes down to it just add 1-3 $.99 PS2 games to your cart. You can always return them to GS in-store using your packing slip.;)

at the core it does..trip's name is short for tripitaka which is the buddhist philosophy known as the three baskets.. and then she mentally controls monkey via a headband the same way the monk controls son wukong via the headband that bodhisattva placed on his head. so that much is the same, and theres a bajie type character named piggy... trip needs monkey to escort and protect her back to her homeland the same way the monk needed son wukong to escort and protect him on his way to india to retrieve the buddhist scriptures. so u take all that, and put in a sci-fi post apocalyptic setting. with robots. i wouldnt count on seeing any spider ladies in the game though.
finally....i'll pay 17.99 used
Hm. I know that this site is all about being cheap, and believe me, I am (just ask my wife!). But I just find it absurd that GameStop sells games new for $19.99 and used for $17.99. How is this a deal for anybody other than GS, especially when you factor in how highly variable the quality of a "used" game is? I bought a used Rock Band 3 online a few months ago from GS and was somewhat disappointed (although only a little surprised) that it didn't come with a manual. I guess I should have been happy that it had the original artwork. There at least, the difference in price between a new copy (at $49.99) and a used one (at $34.99) was substantial. A difference of $2 just seems absurd. How much money is GS making off these kinds of "deals"?

got enslaved for 14.99 at kmart yesterday, and swiftly went through the game and beat it in 8 hours....now its time to ship it to estarland for 18 trade in credit. Good game no replay value though.

Used games is how GS makes their money. For the consumer, that $2 difference is more when you add Edge card additional discount + B2G1 promotions + the idea you could return it in 7 days if not satisfied. This is why if you shop at GS you should always go with preowned.

Most unreal engine games are better on the 360. That's not news. Regardless, the game is great. I played through it just fine on PS3, and I'm thinking of picking it up again on 360 because I loved it so much.
