You can also still install it and play the gfwl version.

Gfwl is not dead, contrary to the retards shouting from the rooftops that it was going to die last July.
This. But it may be best to download the latest version of the GFWL client off Xbox.com.

well, first time I've ever had this happen, the gamestop I went to, the girl has literally spent two weeks trying to get these games for me. Mafia 2 is waiting and she's working on rage, but I told her I can just wait and get them at the same time. This level of customer service is amazing! especially for some really cheapo pc games.

Nice!

If she gave you a wink and a nudge too, I would definitely say she wants the D.
How did you find Bully? It doesnt show up an option to find stock
Probably by walking into his GameStop and asking them to print a list of what PC games they have, in order of cheapest to most expensive.

I've done that exact thing about half a dozen times.

You can also add it to your wish list to get the sku and then use the sku swap trick.

I used what deadtrees suggested:

Some of the games listed as "online only" (like Arkham Origins) can actually be found in store.
You can do a lookup on these by taking the six digit number found in the name of the box art JPEG (right click, Open image in new tab), and pasting that number to the end of this URL: www.gamestop.com/browse/storesearch.aspx?sku=
http://www.gamestop.com/browse/storesearch.aspx?sku=647457

I'd be curious how often "no stock" means there's a few left.  I know at Best Buy it shows up as not having any in stock when there's only a few left so...  Wouldn't mind picking up something like Rage on the cheap considering all the digital versions seem to be at least $20.

FWIW It's been on sale around $5 multiple times for the digital version and there is a big Steam sale coming up soon.

It's not 97 cents cheap but it's better than $20 if you can't find a Gamestop with copies left.

Gamestop inventory system is typically very accurate, so if the site shows there is 0 stock at the store, you can almost be guaranteed they have no stock.

I was close to a Gamestop today that had Dishonored listed as "Low Stock" so I stopped in and they did have it. It was marked $2.97 but It rang up at $0.97. Great price for me, I've never played it on console.

I tried getting one of the clearanced games at my local store around the time I bought Duck Dynasty and they refused to sell it to me. It was something I was looking for, too. :|

PC gamers be like: 97¢ wow! This highly justifies my $8000 PC these great games would have cost hundreds on consoles
Here the console kids go on their dad's 2004 Dells with Centrino processors again. Go back to freezing your browser on Farmville and leave the grown-up talk to the grown-ups, okay, scout?

Only cost around $1200 to build a high-end PC, back when I did (May 2011, around when Witcher 2 PC launched).

The keys are to know your stuff about hardware; know exactly what you want; know your way around (building) a PC; buy parts over a few months (or so); and buy parts namely during killer sales.

Do that and you can save A LOT of freaking $ - even from buying from a local mom + pop PC building shop; and WAY more so especially when compared to buying PreFab somewhere (BestBuy, Dell, Falcon Northwest, AlienWare, etc).

With respect, what do you mean "only" $1200? The latest consoles are only $399.

I am new to pc gaming my current pc is not powerful enough to run the games if I activate the activation key on this pc will I be able to play the games when I build a powerful new pc down the road?

That's the beauty of Steam. Once you add a game to your library you can install it on any PC where you have Steam installed and are logged in.
