Gamestop Survey

It's that time again! Time to order your quarterly GS giftcard. I just did mine today.

Also keep an eye on your earned points and dollars. Redeem your rewards before your points expire on Feb 1st 2010 or they will be reduced by 75%

Thanks chitown021. I almost forgot about that. I only got enough points for a 25 dollar card, but its better than nothing. I wish points didnt expire, Im so close to the 50 gamestop card!.

I know it. If my 2009 dollars didn't expire I would be more than 1/2 way to my Q1 2010 card.

I haven't searched this thread but last year I seem to remember posts about some people being offered premium memberships to the site where their points/dollars don't expire.

When you guys signed up for the newsletter how long did it take to get into the Surveys?

I think I got my invite within a couple of weeks but I signed up a couple years ago so I don't remember exactly. I still receive invite e-mails every few months or so.

Hopefully I get one soon. Is it guaranteed or a random drawing if you get in?

They choose randomly. Its been a long time since I signed up, but I think it was just a couple of weeks for me also.

I just redeemed for my $25 Gamestop GC from E-Rewards. I still have my GC from last quarter, so Splinter Cell: Conviction here I come!

Sorry if this has been answered (don't really wanna go through 84 pages on the lunch break :D), but is there anyway to convert a u.talk.back account to an erewards account?

I thought that it either would've happened automatically, or they would've terminated my utb account and sent me a thing for erewards (crossed the age threshhold this past summer).

I got my 50 dollar card!

Last year I got screwed so badly and the week before the deadline I was under 10 points short from the 50, so I settled with a 25 but it nicely set me up for the 50 this year.

All in all 75 bucks in GS gift certs. Not complaining one bit.

I'm fucking 7 points shy from being able to redeem on my utalkback account. What REALLY sucks is my points expire on Feb 1st. Damnit, if I don't I get a survey (and complete it) in the next 4 days I'm screwed.

Edit - I just noticed this rule on their FAQ:

# At e-Rewards' sole discretion, e-Rewards may choose to waive or defer enforcement of the expiration of Member's u.talk.back Opinion Points.

Is there a way I can ask for permission to have my expiration waived or deferred? Anyone ever have this happen?

Some CAGs have previously posted that they were given some sort of premium membership where the expiration was waived. I've been a member for at least two years and I've never gotten that option.
I've already gotten 5 $25 giftcards for Gamestop. Been a member of the erewards thing for about a year and a half. Such a sweet deal.
lol I've been doing it for about a year now and I still don't have enough for my first $25 gift card.

Five points away from the $50 gift card and my points also expire on Feb. 1st. I've failed to qualify for probably the last 5 surveys.

I am part of the premium thing where you points don't expire. I dunno how I got in, but my guess would be that I always had the necessary points for a card way before each redeem date, plus I got invited to several special surveys outside of the site where I was given other things such as McDonald's and Amazon Giftcards.

Currently right now for my erewards account I am sitting at 163.25. I am just 1.75 away from getting enough to redeem for everything I normally get form them in a year. (4 GS cards and 15 borders bucks)

as for my u.talk.back account I am stuck at 235 with nothing new in ever.

DarkkenPachi - Mine don't expire on my e-rewards either, only my utalkback ones do. I'm now 4 points shy of being able to redeem a card on my utalkback account. After this one, I will save up for the $50 ones.

Keep in mind that the special 'points do not expire' status is only good for one year at a time. If you got a notice last year but not this year, your points will expire.

At least that's how it's working on my account. Not that it matters as I receive just enough surveys every three months now to pull a $25 card. Granted, that's all it takes so I'm happy!

I need $15 by April to be ready for my next card. My surveys have run completely dry. I'd be good to go right now if I didn't have to burn $20 in expiring bucks at the beginning of the year.

How do you get invited to utalkback? I am a member of e-rewards but have never seen anything for utalkback.

Thanks for the help.
It has been a long time since I got a survey, almost 6 month. Is there any ways or tips to improve my chance of getting more?
Whenever I get dry on Erewards I just go into my profile and change a bunch of stuff in there. I also found that by signing up under my wife versus old account under myself I got way more surveys.
^ Gamesday?
Gamestop does a thing anually or biannually where they have HUGE deals on games. It's called Gamesday.

I just got $52 e-rewards credit from a single survey from nielsen ratings about stuff with cell phone usage, I'm good for two more callender redemptions.

Anyone ever have erewards send them stuff after a survey to 'test' out and then take another follow up survey for more loot? I've had this happen twice now lol.

I have twice.

it's bullshit imo. if you look at the receipt of when you purchase something at ya local gs you can do a survey and say how they did overall in that transaction. winners are never announced in my area and a few mgrs told me they never get told anything and have no idea about it but are to just promote it. plus, they have a new district mgr every so often

It's the same way just, instead of clicking on the 18 and over link, you click on the 18 and younger link. It's supposed to be for the young-ins, but there are some fakes in this general vicinity. They also tend to stop giving you surveys though, if you're over the age of 18.

What link are you talking about and where?

What way did you sign up for erewards? Did someone give you a link or did you get the email from Gamestop/some related company? If the latter, then there were two options in the email: either to join the 18 and under site (utalkback) or the 18 and over (erewards). If the former, then someone probably got that email and just gave you the 18 and over site.

Utalkback made me mad by having me watch this cop show which was awful and asking weird ass questions at the end

I then "didn't qualify"

from 75 points...to 3! What seemed like 50 mins down the drain
