Hey guys.

Went to GameStop today, and thought I'd post some of the new marketing materials that came out.

Trade in any games/accessories towards Rock Band, and get 30% extra credit. This is stackable with the Edge card, so you can get a max of 40%.

Trade in any games/accessories towards Guitar Hero III, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, or Mario Party DS, and get 20% extra credit. This is also stackable with the Edge card, so you get a max of 30%.

Also, they're still doing the 2 Wii/PS3/360 games gets 10$ extra deal. But you know that.

Anyway, just passing on the info.
isn't DA2 worth a fair amount of money on ebay though?
It does but the discs were in poor condition w/messed up Hollywood video cases, it wasn't worth it too me, especially since I'm pretty sure some of those discs will freeze several times if someone tried to play through it.

I'll have to get in on this deal tomorrow. I don't play a lot of the games in my collection anymore, so might as well put it towards a game most of my friends will be playing.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the 30% + Edge Card. I know a couple of people who work at my local EB, so I shouldn't have any trouble.

The last time I went there I got the $10 bonus (360/Wii/PS3) to stack with my Edge Card no problem.
Yesterday I went in to take advantage of the Rock Band deal in order to add to the money I've already placed down, and it wasn't until I was handed the receipt that the cashier said something along the lines of "Yeah, that doesn't reflect the 30 percent bonus, you'll see that when you get the game."

It sounded like complete horseshit.

When questioning him on it, he said that's how it works. Considering I was in a rush and plan to use the bonus again before the deal expires, I didn't push it.

Anyone else deal with this before? I figured it worse comes to worst, I'll talk with the manager or EB corporate if need be.
Man, those Gamestop employees can be complete idiots and/or douchebags. Hopefully I won't have that problem when I trade in my games today.

I put only $5 towards Rock Band, not the $25 deal, got the 30%, plus the $10 for trading two, and the extra 10% for the Edge card.

Traded

Halo 3-54.50
FEAR-16.70

Blu-Ray (got free from 5 BD deal)
You just proved the manager right...

System glitches are one thing, but outright lying to people sucks, you were wrong.
i didnt lie to anyone, i just hate that dbag manager and its nice to see his friends sticking up for him on here :)

My 360 has been giving me the xmas lights so finally I decided to send it in. Since I won't have it for a month I decided to cancel my Rock Band which if you read earlier post got a great deal of $ on the trade-in, but they canceled and had no problem giving me store credit. Thank God for my PS3 to play with, now just to find some games.

I went in today trying to cut the cost of this beast thinking I'd just get the 30% extra (hadn't read this thread yet). Well I took Orange Box & GRAW 2 (got them free from work, no interest in either really), and Elebits & Metal Slug Anthology for Wii and got around $110 or so. The guy stacked the 30% and $10 promo, so I went ahead and renewed my EDGE card, got another 10% and ended up adding $101 to my RB pre-order.

I traded a few games on Sunday, and the guy at my GameStop wouldn't let them stack. He said that each game could go toward either the $10 bonus or the 30% bonus, but not both. So the stacking is YMMV, I think.

He did let the Edge card stack with the other deals, though.
