Gamestop..
YMMV on that one. It really depends on the store.
Like he said. It would also depend how far the two stores are. If you're wanting something from store in another state, you might as well forget it.

Mine doesn't special order anything... if you want the employees to do something useful like special ordering, you've gotta go to Gamecrazy.

My EB Games has gotten stuff for me several times. They told me last week that they got a new district that included Gamestops. They looked something up for me and I was told that they can transfer inventory only to "in district" stores. But as was mentioned above, YMMV, since some stores are pricks. TBW

If you are going to do it, just have make sure you have the information on what store has it. The address/phone number/store# will help them out a lot. It is possible to transfer from a different district, but only if the item being sold is worth it. They aren't going to send one cheap item across the state.

Yeah, GameCrazy will make a special order for a game if you ask for it. You're charged for shipping though...

I got a sealed RE2 from another store back before the reprint without any problems...little did I know of its true value on ebay...long story short I went and got a used PS1 version for $5 and got rid of the GC one.

Tried it at three different Gamestops and succeeded in all three locations, multiple times. If you're worried about being rejected, make sure you talk to the manager and say something like "My (insert relationship like little brother)'s birthday is coming up and he wants X game, which I found in Y location..."

It's a victimless little white lie, IMO. That's how I got my Suikoden II, Rez, and Gitaroo Man before the last two had a reprint and saved loads of money.

So out of state transfers are completely out of the question then?

Only game I'm looking for is one - two states away, none in all of Florida.

Doesn't Florida suck? DX

Not really, this is the only game out of every rare game in the PS One to current generation I haven't been able to get yet... everything else came from an EB / GS.

Florida (Tampa Bay, to be specific) has been an awesome place to grab games.

True, but they sometimes refund it if it's in a nearby store... and if you special order something OOP and uber expensive like... DDS, then you get one hell of a deal. If you say that's not worth it, then you're a liar.

So if I white lie then chances are I will get it or talk to the manager? I do not know if I have a GameCrazy near my so I'll try to see if I can get the thing from Gamestop
