Gamestop's holding policy?

Hey I just called to have a store hold a game for me and he said they can hold it for 24 hours... and then I said, "Good, I'll be there in the morning." He told me "well... call in the morning and I'll tell them to pull it again, but if you don't come tonight I'll be putting it back on the shelves." Is this normal?

So is it 24 hours or just until closing time? I had thought I had had them hold stuff for me through the night before, so this is very odd. I think maybe because I was more friendly with the people who were doing the holding.

I believe that Gamestop Policy forbids them holding items for customers. That being said, it's YMMV depending on the coolness of the employees at your particular store. I'm friends with most of the guys at my local EB so they have no problem holding something for me if needed

It's usually till store closing unless you already paid for it.

Yeh I think that is what confused me, the people holding the games actually knew me a bit better so I think they gave me some slack. So I thought that was normal, why I asked you guys.
