Gaming controller for PC

CAGiversary!
Hey,

I am trying to find a decent and cheap gaming controller for the PC.  I am currently looking between the Logitech F310:

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-940-000110-Gamepad-F310/dp/B003VAHYQY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1400987613&sr=8-2&keywords=logitech+gaming+pad

And a wired Xbox 360 controller for windows:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QRKWLA/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0WM3EVYRMXBPVQ0GE12A&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

Are those junk?  Would I be fine with the much cheaper logitech, or should I pay the extra cash and get the microsoft one?  Or, are they both junk?

What do you all recommend?  Thanks,

I've been using my Logitech for years, and it's still working just as well as the day I purchased it, and durability is one of the things that cheaper controllers tend to lack as I've gone through numerous cheaper brands one in my time.

It will also depend on what kind of gaming you plan to use the controller for, but for emulators and what not it'll be more than sufficient.

Do you play either ps3 or xbox 360? If so do you like one controller over the other. Since the logitech is a pretty close match to a dual shock. Except it looks like the logitech has a crappy looking dpad. Just pick whichever controller you like/use more.

I myself bought a wired 360 controller because it works great in Steam. I've had it for a few years and haven't had any problems with it.

They also make a wireless version with a pc dongle. Which I was going to get, but I read reviews on Amazon that people were having problems with it burning out there usb ports. But I try to take Amazon reviews with a grain of salt
