Ive never been to a convention of any sort really. Id love to go to one someday, it seems all the good ones are on the left coast though.
Are there any decent gaming, comic, scifi conventions that ever come to Texas? Its a real surprise to me considering dfw/austin/houston is probably the second biggest hotspot of developers after california.
I know quakecon is here, but i dont know much about it, afaik its mostly a FPS convention.
Does PAX, comicon etc ever travel or are they pretty much always on the west coast?
Also, is e3 the only major one that is closed to the public?
