Gaming TV for bedroom

Anyone have any suggestions for a good, medium sized TV? I will use it for strictly gaming & sports events. I want it to handle dark colors well since I play Gears A LOT! I would like to spend under $400 if possible

You want dark blacks and great for sports? Plasma. ALWAYS!!!!!!! Plasmas have the best picture in the market. Their deep colors are awesome. I have one. The only downside is, you need to take care of it. If you let pictures sit still, it can ruin it in 3 hours. No lie. Otherwise, great picture!!

Plasmas come in 42 inch, LCDs on the other hand are mostly 40 inches when bought from sony and samsung

search around for closeout deals, probably about a month ago I was browsing sears and purchased a 47" toshiba lcd 1080p for $249 out the door with warranty.
