Sorry if it's been posted before, the GB Micro is selling for 89.99 At EB online. It's still selling for 99.99 elsewhere. I am still not tempted into buying one though

Good deal for those considering a Micro. Here are some links for the lazy.

The only problem with the Micro is that the new backlit GBA SPs are so kickass, the Micro's only advantage is that it's small. When it comes to price, screen size, and backwards compatibility, you can't beat the backlit SPs.

Once the Famicom Micros are available in North America, I'll be very tempted to get one though.

11/28 for the Famicom edition. Im getting it. And as far as what its got over the sp...the size for me really makes a difference. The DS takes up an entire pocket, The sp half that and the micro half of that. For those winter months coming up and me working in retail, a pocket sized RPG machine is too good to pass up.

The Micro's screen is still a little better, imo though. Price is about even I would say. After you buy the headphone adaptor you'll end up at the same price as the Micro.

I like the Micro more just based on size. That alone sealed it for me. It's a portable that can finally fit in my pocket, comfortably.
Is this B&M too? EB usually PMs their own website but I'm curious...
They never PM their own website in my experience.

Is 11/28 the exact date? I haven't seen it at Eb or Gamestop.com, so I don't know when to expect it coming out.

Yeah, I can never get them to PM the Web site either.

But anyway, it doesn't matter. Just called EB and the price is $89.99 in store. Actually, when I first asked, the guy reflexively quoted the $99.99. When I said it dropped $10 on the Web site, he looked it up in the system and yep, it was $89.99.

And this just in: $89.99 at Best Buy as well. Starting to look like a universal drop.

That's what Reggie said...or at least it was the date given with the press release

Ok, will preorder a famicom micro really soon (ie today), if they are accepting preorders for the system. I must have all the gameboys!

It was also announced that all gameboy micro's are limited edition, and that the gameboy micro might be discontinued very very soon (its probably nintendo's way of saying that the gameboy micro was a really stupid idea to release alongside the backlit sp, and they are doing this cause the micro isnt selling well).

I'm thinking it's universal too, doesn't seem like micro sold that well, considering all the kids are clamoring for a DS these days and pretty much everyone and their mother owns an sp already. I myself still have the good ol platinum advance from years ago. I like the buttons better and the wide grip arrangement. Thinking about putting in a backlight, but don't really have any problems seeing the screen usually.

Really? They always do it for me at mine - maybe the guys are just nice... I got 1080 Avalanche for $10 that way...

Um, how can you tell the difference between backlit SP's and non backlit? I am buying a SP soon and don't want something crappy :D

New GBA SP2 says something like "new brighter screen" in big letters on the box. So you will know.

Also the GB Micro site now says that the black and silver micros are also limited edition as well. So once they are gone....thats it.

backlit sps only come in two colors: pearl blue and graphite. don't confuse graphite with black tho. they look somewhat similar.

It seems to me that Nintendo is scrambling to put this fiasco behind them. I love the Big N, but crap on a stick, man... the micro was a rip-off.
Looking more like a universal price drop all the time: TRU now lists it for $89.99 online.
They're $89.99 in-store as well.

I just called my local TRU, EB, and GameCrazy and they all said that the Micros are on sale for $89.99 so it looks like it's going on everywhere. It's interesting that all of them said that it was "on sale." It might just be a temporary thing...
