GBA SP 48.88 on Black Friday

I've been looking for a cheap replacement for my SP that my son broke. Thanks!

However, isn't there a new revision of the SP out there now? Any idea if this sale includes the new revision? How can I tell that I am getting the new revision?

Couple of questions. First, since Wally World is open 24 hrs, will they close down for any amount of time before the sale starts to get stuff out and make people wait in line or will they remain open and just not honor the prices until 5am? Second, when do the BF ads actually come out in the paper?

It actually says on the box, something like, "New! Brighter screen!" You can't miss it.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and I believe Walmarts are usually closed on thanksgiving and re-open at 5 or 6 am.... Could be wrong though but all the 24hrs walmarts here in Jacksonville were closed last year for thanksgiving and Christmas...

Lots of places including WalMarts, stay open for Thanksgiving... Ive never been to one of their sales in person for BF (and dont plan on messing with it this year either), but I noticed news footage of sales items being brouught in before the sale begins, and they were wrapped up so no one could get them early...

Ill probably hit up Target and Office Max again...

Last year I picked up Tales of Symphonia @ Target for $23.xx something black friday... I love the day after Thanksgiving, I usually try to get out before 6am.

Even though it only includes the frontlit color GBAs, I'm thinking (well I guess more like praying) you might be able to get a backlit one if you get a clueless cashier and show them the ad.

I am sure they will be notified NOT to sell the new backlit screens for this sale, and they will probably only have a limited amount of the systems. I have a feeling the black friday sales will be very strict and limited this year.

I dunno about that, sales have been pretty sad this year and they are looking for something to really spice up their sales, which I think they will try for BF

I remember last year when the had the original GBA for like 39 bux they had two large piles even after nearly everyone grabbed one. I passed already had an SP at the time.
Do you think it would be possible to PM this deal at CC/BB? Anyone tried to PM a BF deal b4?
i dont think it would work. Most stores have some sort of policy that states they don't have to offer "1 day sales" (or something to that effect). I have never tried though, maybe someone can give you a certain answer.

The ad shows "Cobalt", "Flame", "Platinum", and "Onyx" which means that it excludes the back lit versions, but you never know, maybe you can get lucky.

To get some extra sleep and still get it at this price, buy it at Wal-Mart like a week before and then come back there on Black Friday around 10AM or so and go straight to customer service where they have to price adjust it and credit the difference back on your card.

I pretty much do this with all the Black Friday sales and it works every time at every store. The only time it doesn't work is when they only put out the sale items that Friday morning before the store opens so there is no way to buy ahead of time and then return.

If you bought a non-backlit version for cheap on BF, kept it sealed, and came in a week or two later, I wonder if you could do an even exchange for a backlit unit.

IS there that big of a difference between the front and back-lit screens? All I really want is a Platnium SP to match my GC, but if there is a HUGE difference in quality, I'll pass on it.

It's a pretty marvelous difference, from what I've seen.

Screw it, I have a GBA. I'll just save up a couple extra bucks and get a DS. Just keep the GBA around to transfer between the game and the GC.

Wow, you have a fantastic idea.

Most major retailers have an ad for Black Friday in the newspaper on Thanksgiving Day since no one else seemed to answer that question.

Super Walmart opens on Thanksgiving day. I think they close at 6pm on Thanksgiving day and they open at 6am on black friday.

24 Hr Wal-Marts (yes, there are still some that aren't open 24 hrs) close early on Christmas Eve and are closed on Christmas Day. They are open the rest of the year, including Thanksgiving and Black Friday early morning. Last year at the Wal-Mart I was at before the sale started, the sale items were still on their pallets and covered with black garbage bags. At the start time, the bags were cut/pulled off by employees to officially start the sale.

Edit: On a side note, I find it quite funny that the .pdf's from bfads.net are stolen from gottadeal.com (read about them on CNN). Then, bfads.net (poorly) faded the gottadeal.com tag and covered it with their own.

Yeah.. gottadeal is better than bfads. Not the other way around like some idiot was saying in the first black friday thread.
