GBMicro $36 at Sears (YMMV)

Oooh, I'll have to investigate this. I've been wanting a Famicom GBM for a while, but haven't found one cheap enough to push me over the edge.

You guys need to check the Sears clearance thread...this deal has been going on for quite a while, and they've even been cheaper than $36...I was finding them for $33 for a while, and they were the 20th Anniversary editions.

I hear there's this game called Pokémon.

The Micro is good when you want to have a handheld with you but don't feel like taking a PSP or DS. I just leave it in the car and it comes in handy for a quick round of Space Invaders for example.

And a gun is good when you want to have protection but don't feel like carrying stalks of broccoli or doorknobs.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Ninja Five-O
Gunstar Super Heroes
Drill Dozer
Wario Land 4

fuck, yeah I'm still playing GBA
And a gun is good when you want to have protection but don't feel like carrying stalks of broccoli or doorknobs.
That's....just retarded. Carrying a PSP in your pocket is like trying to conceal a AK-47 for protection, whereas the micro is a like a nice, subcompact Glock .40

yeah check the sears thread. alot has reported them already. this also applies to the black version. some even reporting as low as $32 i believe. thats why that thread needs to be updated..

The GBA has a MASSIVE library, you know.

What the hell?

I know the Micro is incredibly cool looking, but how is it for playing long periods of time on? If I remember correctly the screen is literally the size of two postage stamps.
The screen is small but it's incredibly sharp and bright, I have no problem playing on it. I maybe in the minority here but I think the Micro is one sexy beast.
I agree about the sharpness and brightness of the screen, which is why I prefer to play GBA games on my Micro instead of my DS Lite.

My Sears has been sold out of the Micro for months now. If you can find one though, $36 is not at all shabby for an ultra-portable game system.

Believe it, I love mine that I picked up from Sears, have no need for the ladybug faceplate though

Been getting in levels of Mario vs DK at work during breaks

the gba micro is my favorite portable gaming system. if i'm stuck on a plane for a few hours though, the psp always comes along... games, videos, music, ebooks..
