Great deal. Bought it last night. Was reminded how much I like the Gears of War single player missions. I know the community's all about the multiplayer but I love the campaign.

Yes, same thing. But I think that GOTY edition was a pretty limited run. Most people that bought the game bought the original printing that only came with the Flashback pack (or a used copy that came with nothing) and bought anything else from the marketplace.
 
May have to bite on this. I have no interest on the multiplayer due to how laggy and host sided it can get, but the added campaign would be fun.

i would highly recommend that if you have no interest in the maps for multiplayer or horde mode, that you stay far, far away from this. the deleted chapter is very short (roughly 30 mins?) and adds nothing to the story imo. if you enjoy the multiplayer, or horde mode, then its a good deal. just for the deleted scene i would advise you spend your $7.50-$10 on something else that is actually worth getting.

It's fine, just not great on its own at that price.
 
i don't play multplayer, and when i tried it seemed really dead. is the deleted scene worth the 800 alone?

If you're definitely interested in the deleted scene and nothing else, the Dark Corners pack includes it at 560 points.
 
ah ok, well i must have been doing something wrong because a few times i had trouble finding a group. i was playing horde and i have no dlc. and the 1 time i tried multy player i laughed when they were fairly matching my team of level 1-27's up agains 3 level 9x and the rest were 50+
 
Should I buy the used gears of war 2 disc for like $20 and then buy this pack using the points

Or buy the GOTY edition for $30?

If you are gonna spend $30 anyway may as well go NEW goty edition, I had the same thought
 
I don't think All Fronts comes with the Flashback Map pack, so the GOTY Edition (which does include the code for it) is a better buy than picking up the game and All Fronts separately.

EDIT: Whoops, I was mistaken.

The reason i asked is because i have a bunch of points lying around - not sure if i should spend $10 more for the goty if this pack has everything that the goty has .

Thanks[/QUOTE]The GOTY is pretty much the regular GOW2 plus a "GOTY" cardboard sleeve and a DLC code for the content. Might as well get a new game in the process if you're also eying the DLC anyway.

All Fronts includes all previous map packs for Gears 2.
