Gears of War 3 beanie with pick up at midnight launch (in store)

I was at Walmart in Orange, California today and I say an ad advertising a Gears of War 3 beanie upon purchase of Gears of War 3 at midnight. It looks pretty neat.

There are idiots that pay hundreds of dollars for wow acounts and comic con stuff. I don't see this being any differint sadly

Sadly its true. I had a friend buy stuff on Wow. I was like why? Cant use it in real life. I couldnt never understand it....

imo ppl buy wow stuff so they don't have to spend the time leveling up, doing quests, and grinding faction when end game content is honestly where the most fun is. i've never done it but, i can see why ppl do.

there are much more expensive things ppl waste their money on, at least someday it's possible for them resell their 85th lvl character. 30 mins in the champagne room on the other hand...

I sold off my WoW stuff for a ton. But to tell you the truth, if you actually worked out how many hours in game that I had when I sold it I probably got less than $0.10 per hour.

I could see where people would want to buy wow characters. If you just didn't want to level things again and were halfway competent. You could easily take the hours it would normally take to level to 85 and work instead. The money you would make from working you could probably buy 3 or 4 accounts.

To those that buy, their time is worth more than grinding out levels in wow.

I was hoping that it would be Ice-T so we could have the line from the new trailer that says "someone get me a sammich"...

At the Best Buy I went to for Gears 2, they had all sorts of cool swag for free. Hats, cog tags, pens, stickie-notes; any idea when retailers will know if they will be offering stuff like that at their releases?
