Gears of War for PC! (video inside)

I'm confused. Isn't that a video of the Xbox 360 version? Whenever the reload prompts come up, there is a blue X button (like the Xbox 360).
 
I knew it was going to happen. That's why I feel if you're very big into PC Gaming, no reason to own an Xbox and 360.

However, I despise PC games and only play consoles, so if I did like Gears of War (which I don't), I'd get it on a console.

Drag and drop to access the content. Or copy and paste the link location manually. It doesn't work through Firefox if you just click the link.

Thought it was the 360 version till I saw the Brumak fight. That was pretty cool.
 
it was only a matter of time. gears of war 2 will come out and be exclusive, and im sure itll end up on the pc a year later as well.

its a great game, one of the few console shooters ive enjoyed, i might have to get it for pc as i find the keyboard/mouse interface so much better.
 
This was accidentally revealed back when Gears first came out with some Games for Vista picture. It's going to be just like Halo/Halo 2 PC though, too little too late.

I can't get the link to work in IE or by pasting it.

Halo 2 took two and a half years to port to PC. With no real visible improvements either. A new boss fight/maybe even level + 60 FPS = sexy.

from the looks of this, it's all new stuff... hopefully and most likely epic will put this content on XBLM... especially since alot of people wanted to kill those huge tank thingys.
 
Great news. GoW is the best FPS on any console and one of the best FPS period.

Now I can play it propper-like with a keyboard and mouse and free online play.

I'll bet money that it'll come to the 360. Sure the 60 FPS will be nice, but I've been playing the game for the past 9 months. That's better.

Huh? Also, if you meant TPS, GOW is not the best TPS either. Its really good, but not great. Once Halo 3 is out, im done with GOW. I am also unsure of how a TPS will translate to PC.
 
well i jumped on halo 2 for vista because their were good deals + plus achievements..

i wonder if this one will have cross play .....

Is Windows Live actually required to play? I thought it was just something you bought if you were too retarded to hit "refresh server list". Hell, all those Counter Strike monkeys can do it.

theres no way new gameplay doesnt make it onto the 360 as well. im just worried what the price will be.

I don't think it is coming out too late. Epic does their PC fans right so I don't see them taking forever to port this to the PC.

Once I get a new system this is one game I definately will get. It would also be nice if it plays through live as then I could continue to play with my friends, but use a KB/M to play the game.

That new stuff looks good.

We all knew it was going to happen, it was a question of "when" not "if". By the time this hits $20 or less, I should have my new PC, and I'll pick it up then for the new SP content which I doubt we'll get on X360. I wonder if they can incorporate Windows Anywhere on this title and have PC vs X360...

And since its for PC that means Epic will be hooking it up with the free content.

EDIT: Just realized, you should have put this on the PC thread.
 
Holy crap that looks awesome!:D

I wonder how (and if) they'll handle this new content for 360 owners. If it's free then cool... but I'm guessing there's money to be made here and Epic/MS will want to make it.

Me? No thanks, not in the mood to blow $300-$600 on just a Graphics Card just to play it on a PC. Have fun guys.

VERY true. Once these guys get to actually play, ill be done with this game forever and start anticipating Halo 3, maybe even start playing it.

I am getting tired of everyone thinking that you have to pay alot of cash just to play pc games. You dont always have to play it on maximum settings to have fun.
