yeah, they didn't really convince me it was a 10. but they did convince me it's awesome. can't wait to play this today!

They are trying to prove their innocence in the case of The People vs EGM regarding their PS3 nut hugging. I don't know the details, but I believe it was EGM. There was a big discussion at gamespot (or was it here?) forums a few months ago.

1up gives EVERYTHING a 10/10 it seems... I mean, cmon, they gave Bully a 10/10, and while it was a good game, it sure as hell wasn't a 10.

When should I expect my EB to have my preorder available to pick up? Today? Tomorrow? Video game release dates are so confusing, and I don't usually buy games the day they are released.

Well in my area at least they are doing a drop shipment. Usually the ship date they show in there computers is they day it ships so they get it the next day. But for big titles they sometimes do a drop shipment where the DM or someone else will go pick it up and bring it to each store. My area EB/GS will have it today. You should call the EB you preordered at and ask when they will be getting it in.

10/10 should mean "perfect." the lack of any more than deathmatch = unperfect (to me, at least), so I'm not understanding that score either.

I'll give my eb a call around lunch time and see when I can pick it up. any West Coasters/So Cals get theirs in today?
 
9.6 from GS was the trial by fire for me. This will absolutely be the franchise to carry MS in the absence of a new Halo.

I knew MS wouldn't let their mega-pushed game disappoint. Just this alone:

that is weak.. if the whole point of the preorder release was to get it out before the released why the f does it release at different dates.. either release it today or tomorrow..but do it everywhere...
 
Wow... this is pretty much the best year for gaming we've seen since 2001... hell, maybe ever. Shit like Gears of War and FFXII delivered and we still have a Zelda game on the way... I really think I'm going to have to end my social life for a few months just so I can play through this stuff. And yes, games are more important than people when they score a 9.6 at Gamespot.

I updated OP with currently available reviews. The countdown is set to 1 day because we all know technically it will be widely available tomorrow and sorta limited today.

Just kidding :D I feel the same way... I'm glad there's split screen co-op so I can cling to the fantasy that maybe my girlfriend will want to learn to play with me.

I doubt it. It was previously mentioned they also tested this game in SDTV's so make sure that the text was readable.
 
GoW should be hitting Northern KY/Cincy in the next couple hours. Just called my EB, the guy said he'll be leaving to pick them about 1:30 or 2 and they will hand out the preorders as soon as he gets back with them. :D

Sucks I gotta work tonight and go in early on top of that.... I'll get a nice tease after just a few games played.
