The one GS went to said "tomorrow". Ah well, I'll try and get it from BB tomorrow since I have some credits and GGC there.
 
My EB said to check back tomorrow about 1:00. I see quite a few people playing though. Oh well, I can wait.

Yep guess I should have stated that, they should be lined up. The GoW coupon is the one that ends with ...490.
 
In about 2-3 hours I'll have my copy of the game. My GS has got my LE copy in the vault, as it is the last one they have right now. Fortunately I reserved.

if you read the fine print on the coupon, it says that it must be an original. so you might have a hard time trying to get them to accept it, unless the person behind the counter doesn't give a shit.

I hope they dont. A CE + free faceplate($10) for 60 is great. A reg + free face. for 50 is great too. If not, ill just wait for famvideo.

You can always try to use the coupon somewhere else. I just called my Meijer and they said they'd have to look at the coupon first but I'm just going to tell them I got it in an e-mail and hopefully I get lucky.
 
So how is everyone putting the coupon together? Glue, tape, staples?

If only it was one sided it would be alot easier =/

This is why I hate Circuit City... the 5 pm is just in there as the LATEST time they will get the game in, the ad even says "Available Wednesday BY 5 pm" meaning if they get it earlier, to put it out AND SELL IT.

My CC is also holding fast to the notion that "we won't put it out for sale until 5 pm". It's complete BS... I wouldn't care but they keep having awesome deals on these games but that stupid 5 pm clause gets me every single time.

I'll have to see if I have some glue around here.

Anyone have ideas of what they are going to say if they don't take the coupon? I'm just going to say my friend gave it to me, and I don't know where it comes from.

if you have a decent printer, you should be able to print on both sides. actually i might try it, nothign to lose but a lot of red ink.
 
Dont have a Meijers, not sure what else to do. Im just going to print one side, and hope the cashiers accepts. Or ask some friends to see if they have one.
 
Damn. I was playing GH2 when Gamestop called and it went to my voicemail. I got all excited because I thought the machine might tell me they got it in tonight, but nope, still tomorrow afternoon. =/ Sad panda.

Though there is some good news. All the GameCrazys I talked to said they would get it tonight, by 9PM.

I don't have it reserved there, so the guy told me he couldn't assure me a copy, but he told me to stop by. So, I'm going to ditch out of my class early and make a run over there.

I hope I get it.

After what I went through today, I deserve it.
 
I'm already addicted to this game, and I played it for two hours, the only bad part about it, which I don't care about right now, is that all the online achievements are in ranked matches, other than that this is already in my top 3 games of all time...

Ditch school after picking it up too so we can play some co-op. You deserve that too. You were gonna take off the whole day anyway, so why go back?

I was going to ditch, until I realized that I have 2 tests and a weeks worth of homework due tonight, that I can't makeup.

I think, that if I finish my last class's test that I may get to leave when I'm done. Which would mean I would get home at 10PM instead.

Got the last two copies of the game at my local Gamecrazy.

Screw EB, going tomorrow to switch my preorder from gears over to COD3. They said they might have gears tonight by 7....WEAK!

BestBuy did the same thing with me For Everquest II. However I complained enough and they brought it out. But that was within walking distance. The CC is hell to get to in LA traffic and I wasn't going to risk it.

The Local EBgames I hate so much was nice enough to let me preorder it an hour before they got it so wohooo!

Stopped by gamecrazy earlier. Didn't ask the cashier anything, but heard him answer the phone (Thank you for calling Gamecrazy, we don't have gears of war yet. ) right away. I did hear him say they would get it before they closed (this is in Fremont by the way).

Fremont Gamecrazy JUST got it in...BUT they won't sell it to non-preorders UNLESS you buy the $15 strategy guide with it!?! fucking dirtbags...guess I'm just gonna hit up Fry's tomorrow.
 
I am BEAT. I need some rest. Reduced day tomorrow means school ends two hours earlier (12:08). I will be playing from 12:30 to at least 5. I am having a bunch of friends over to play this and guitar hero 2 (my friend has two guitars!). I unlocked an achievment but it turned out to just be for my guest account- WTF?!?!

Great game. I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy it soon.
