Gears Of War - Mod - Terminator

WOW nice mod but I see 3 things wrong with it.

1) I don't have it
2) the harvester is in it so they count Rise of the Machines and Salvation as canon
3) harvester is to short

That being said this looks to be the best terminator game I have seen.I'm tempted to get gears of war on the PC if I can find this mod.

EDIT: Well I found the mod http://www.moddb.com/mods/gow-fps-terminator/downloads

Also saw another video and the harvester doesn't look as short as I thought it did. Still wish it wasn't in the mod. I would rather it be a ground HK.

This mod has me thinking about picking up 'Gears Of War' for the PC but I need to see more.

I've had gears of war pc since launch recently reinstalled and the game had a bug where the exe expired like 2 years ago. You can probably find it cheap. I finally go it running again. Going to investigate rthis mod.

Yeah, I just disable all that stuff from jump when I install games. A friend of mind had that same problem with that game and Freedom Force...I had to regedit it out and I got it working. I know they recently patched Gears Of War to prevent that but the fact that it had in the first place is what kept me away. I can get it from a few places in NYC for $9.99.

From what I read on the site that P posted it is in beta. Still no matter what issues I have with the mod it still looks to be the best terminator game out there.
I dunno, aside from some sweet visuals it looks super generic.
That's what I was thinking ... and I realize Terminator isn't realistic, yet they could have at least made the level layouts realistic in some way

it is a free mod and chances are the person isn't getting paid much/at all.

Not getting paid at all. I think it's great to see fan made stuff.

I understand that and it's incredibly impressive for a side project, yet there's free mods out there that have good level design as well which is one thing I happen to enjoy in a game.

Someone mentioned it was in beta ... perhaps it'll get better.
Mega, did you ever check this out? I am downloading the alpha right now. I'll probably try it later today or sometime this weekend.
Nah. I am sitting on 43 games that I have yet to INSTALL for the 'Free And Legal PC Games' thread. I have 4 games that I want to end to complete the storyline. I am also coding 'Ultimate Mugen 2009 Megazell's edition' and finishing some maps I made for 'Secret Maryo Chronicles.'

On top of all that, some of the kids at the center want me to help them debug their own mods and maps they made for various games.

GOW is still easy to find for cheap in NYC...so I not rushing out for this yet. Let me know how alpha goes.
Wait, are we talking about the same Gears of War as the Xbox 360 one? I thought it's a 3rd person-view game?
Gears of War was ported to the PC. In the early development cycles this game used resources from the GoW series but it seems they've just kept it to the UDK materials, presumably to give it to a wider audience. And god damn man, it's called the UNREAL engine. You know, the one Unreal Tournament uses?

So do I still need gears of war on the PC to play this? If I don't I will check this out this weekend if I do then it will be a little bit longer even though Gears of War is a great game and I have been wanting to check out the extra level that was put in and never put on the 360.

I have the original GOW but for some reason the Windows Live login was buggy for me and could never get it working smoothly. Maybe I'll give it a try and see if it's been patched. Interesting how they could transform the game from 3rd person to FPS.

It's the other way around, GoW transformed an FPS to a TPS. You can pretty much turn any Unreal Engine shooting game in to a TPS/FPS by entering a console command.
