I won another Championship Finals match with Vega. Not enough points for a replay, which was heartbreaking, because I beat a Sagat with Vega's Ultra...while Sagat was taunting. =D

Man, sucks to hear about that Markman. When/how did Dasrik go?
 
I sent that info Mark to DL for a announcement thread, as well as BB.com for front page news, and went ahead and tossed a email to Aksys to see if they will post in on their main page news as well. Hope this helps out some. I'll try and get a hold of someone from MeltyBlood.com to see if they will as well.

I mostly do EWGF's and 1, 1, 2. I find f+1+2 to be decent although it hits high (in which case you might as well just do an EWGF)

Also Hellsweeps are pretty beastly again for a bit of mix-up with TGF. Just don't wanna get carried away with hellsweeps / TGF because you can really eat shit on block.

I haven't played in like 2 weeks, I'm trying to think of what other stuff I used. I wish you had it on PS3 mang!
 
Sorry to hear that Dasrik has passed. Hope his family is doing well.

my Rose is slowly getting better, I at least have a little trick when facing a boxer. My friend usually mains Balrog and he like to do that spinning punch to dodge projectiles. So when I do a soul spark, he does the spinning punch. The soul spark is dodged and I do her forward crouching mk which is a slide which hits. Close range doesn't really work (90% it doesn't work).

man, i've been forced to be playing T6 on my PSP... fucking PS3 drive.

I will say I'm reconsidering picking Bryan up as possibly my secondary. He's so fun now :bouncy:

you play ranked or player? I tend to find less annoyance in player games due to rooms.

Depends on where I start it and how I use it. The way I was using it against Beef, I knew it wouldn't hit me.

There are other ways I throw Headstomp out there that Gouken can counter.

Yeah, I meant to post about that earlier, but I was too excited about my Vega's Sagat dominance in Champ Mode. Oh lulzy Sagat players, never stop taunting please.

AxC was stomping on the shiny bald spot on Gouken's head, so he managed to bounce out of the actual hitting range of the counter. I've managed to counter meaty headstomps, though.

I changed my casual online fighter from SF2 HD to SFIV. I'm enjoying SFIV much more. Maybe because I'm tired of losing as much as I do. I would play Tekken 6 more but like kainzero stated it's full of BS sometimes. I'm not very good and those crazy juggles annoy the fuck outta me.

Hell no! Throws in SF2 were utter BS, LP+LK throws any day. SRKs are bad enough as it is in SFIV with auto block and all. Seriously though, SF2 throws annoyed me, especially the fact that you couldn't tech out of them with no damage.

blocks that don't come out/dropped juggles/throws not broken/moves not coming out in time to crush

will piss me off in ranked OR player
 
Just saying hello. First time posting in this thread. I mainly play SFIV but also love HD Remix (EDIT: I also have BlazBlue but hardly play it and am a complete scrub). Just trying to play with better players more consistently & step it up a bit.

Yes, Tekken is the best and way better than SF4!
 
I would totally enjoy playing some MVC2 SF IV, SF2HD, Blazblue, Battle Fantasia, Tekken 6 or even DOA 4, in that order, anytime I am not playing Left 4 Dead 2 (or possibly Borderlands). I can't promise a challenge, unfortunately, but I am decent at the Capcom games listed.

I am usually on in the evenings after 7:00 pm CST.
 
Played Continum (sp?) Shift last night at the Break. Seems cool, I really only know Tager. I beat 2 kids that had like printed out moveslists and sick combos and stuff but had no idea how to actually play a fighting game, then lost to a guy who used that cat chick. I didn't know you had to duck to avoid that one super she has, and ate it 3 times. He told me afterward to duck lol.

I rocked dudes in TvC though :)

I need to learn to start teching throws more. Gave up 600+ points last night in SF4 ranked against a throw-loving Guile.

Who'd you use in TvC, Jimbo?

Forgot how much fun that game was... looking forward to the US version. Who did they have to remove? Pics / descriptions would be helpful because I don't know any of the anime characters.

Beef, GG's last night in SFIV. I love the corner guesses Seth puts characters in. I hate how much damage he eats off stupid Gouken counter.

Everyone, I already have TvC (JPN) and I was thinking about getting the U.S version for all the tweaks, new characters and such. Still don't know yet, mostly because I know when SSFIV comes out I won't play the U.S TvC that much, so it would be a waste of money for a game I have already.
 
GGs AxC. I'm gonna stop using Dan, since I kept getting his moves confused with Gouken's when I was doing some Gouken training last night.

Hell no, everytime I play as him it's so hard getting in to attack. He does a lot of damage when you actually get a hold of you opponent. If you manage to grab them though, you deserve to deal that damage. I don't really see how he'd be considered cheap, only thing that's annoying is the lariat snuffs honda's ultra completely.

At least you're not trying to play Ryu and add to the 3 billion other people who play him. :lol:
 
The only thing "cheap" about Gief is that Lariat of his. Snuffing Ultras, hitting crouching opponents, hitting people cleanly out of air attacks (or at worst, trading). Lariat needs some serious work.

Other than that, I have no qualms over Gief.

I usually don't see high level 'gief players using the lariat unless somebody jumps in or tries to randomly ultra on him. So I'd say his lariat is fine since it only hits low on start-up anyway. Like I said, only thing that'd be nice to change is snuffing honda's ultra.

I didn't mention it hitting on startup, I mentioned it hitting crouching opponents. Gouken can't do shit against Gief's Lariat if he's close, and that includes trying to low hit, because Lariat will still hit.

Stuffing Ultras with Lariat is stupid.

It only hits crouching opponents on startup, right? Or are you talking about when you get too close to sweep?
