I don't think Zangief is cheap (mostly cause I hate using the word because I always associate it with scrubs) but I do think that his lariat and SPD range create some really, really tough match-ups for some characters. He is my least desired opponent when I play online or in real-life.
He's also the character I have the worst winning percentage against (and it's by a large margin, some 20-30%.)
Rodimus / Asianxcore - pick up TvC! I never really get to play you guys in fighters so it would be cool.
I think I will pick up TvC. Only problem is I normally play very late at night. And when I say late I mean between 1:00AM - 5:00AM. Surprisingly my wife doesn't complain.
Well I have SFIV back for a week, and tomorrow and Thursday are my days off, so hit me up for some hot PSN action! Yowza!
Sorry I wasn't able to play you tonight. Had a session going with HeavyD.
GG's to HeavyD. Gotta get my Abel polished up before I go to Seattle next month.

My Gouken is out for your blood.
My Claw finally beat AxC's weird Ryu. No more getting beat by constant jumpback RH!!
Weird is definitely the word for Ryu when I do play him. I ran him and Bison when I was in Seattle at Gameworks and the whole time I'm thinking "Holy shit this is weird"
GG's to Suko. I hate Ryu. Seriously, I want my jump-ins and Ryu says " you"
Yup, GG's AxC. I see some new combos with Seth since the last time we played!
I know all of his shit, but brain refuses to use most of it. Ask anyone in my crew, I practice all the weird setups, hard resets and such, but I don't practice his basic BnB (which I can do haha), so naturally I never throw it out. Should though.....and Tick SPD's among many other things
GG's to Uraizen tonight. Get that Viper buuuuuuffffff

online viper, that is all. So much shit I was trying to SJC and it just didn't work... I hated it. Apparently my cammy isn't good enough and my boxer sucks according to certain people, no names will be mentioned.
I'm tired, salty and sad at my performance tonight and with viper overall since she's apparently the only char I should be playing because of my execution despite hating her because all my other chars suuuuck! Hate you all, especially suko! Exceptions being people I don't/never play of course.

Oh yea... ggs
Suko and I were talking about it earlier tonight. You just gotta find your main. Either figure it out now, or wait until Super comes along with a bunch of the newer characters.
Either go for characters that are solid and have lots of tools (Ryu, Rog, Sagat, etc.)
Or go for characters that fit your playstyle. I play Abel/Seth because I like characters that lend themselves to a little creative thinking and also because I like to be ing flashy
Obviously Viper is a character that you have said you can execute with, but if she isn't in your playstyle nor do you know how you are supposed to play her, you are at square one again.
dude you just need to play more
it's not your character, it's your fundamentals
I think you missed my point, I was playing viper at 5AM and kept getting super jumps when I was trying to SJC a lot of my shit. I haaaate playing as that bitch online, she'd make you salty too yo. I was so pissed off at that shit last night/this morning. Hell, you bitch all the time
or get emo apparently
about Tekken online, so you should know where I'm coming from here. I never once said I was good at SFIV either nor bitch about losing in that post, I just hate playing as viper online.
Suko and I
I knew it.
were talking about it earlier tonight. You just gotta find your main. Either figure it out now, or wait until Super comes along with a bunch of the newer characters.
I had already picked a temporary main.

I absolutely refuse to play as them.

I was trying to!
I play Abel/Seth because I like characters that lend themselves to a little creative thinking and also because I like to be ing flashy
You do a very good job at it when playing Seth, I couldn't figure out which way to block sometimes.
Obviously Viper is a character that you have said you can execute with, but if she isn't in your playstyle nor do you know how you are supposed to play her, you are at square one again.
I only practiced with her to improve my execution overall, not because I wanted to play as her. I hate playing as her, she doesn't fit my play style one damned bit. I don't know how to play as her either, at all. I was trying to main cammy, but everybody thought I should main viper and I had no clue why. If it's because of my execution, that's a terrible reason. So, I gave it a try last night and got so pissed off while playing her, it wasn't a damned bit of fun. I am not maining her, nor do I ever plan to. I'd rather play as somebody I have fun playing as, ya dig?
tl;dr
I hate viper, just because my execution is good with her doesn't mean I should play as her because she's not fun to play as at all.

I can't speak for everyone else you talked to, but the reason why I thought you should play Viper is because she has better tools than Cammy does and Viper does have better matchups.
Also if you are refusing to use a Top Tier character, then you have to get GOOD with your mid-tier/lower tier characters. Good enough to take over that particular characters weaknesses and weaknesses against the rest of the cast. That's a lot of work and you will get discouraged but that's the difference between those of us that are still around and those of us who gave up fighting games years ago.
A friend of mine in my crew was maining Guile for a long time. We all told him if he was going to main Guile he had to be Dagger G like with him, because let's be honest with Guile you either are REALLLY good with him or you suck. There isn't an in-between. Same goes with Cammy and a bunch of the characters at the bottom of the tier chart. Cammy? Watch Sanford's, Allen Chang (NorCal) and JChen (SoCal)
I also agree with kainzero, work on your fundamentals, work on your matchups and work on your footsies.
I think you missed my point
you said something like
"i can't find a good character to use, people say my boxer sucks"
and i'm thinking, no, your boxer doesn't suck
your rhythm was just really easy to read
you have all the boxer tools and combos that you need, and it's just the fundamentals that need to be put together
play one person and stick with that person
you wanna play viper, then play viper so you can learn all the fundamentals like knowing when to attack, what to counter with, what to punish with, etc etc all that crap you subconsciously learn

I have watched those people play Cammy and I don't care if she's "meh" or it's hard to win with her. I like her play style and I actually have fun in SFIV while playing as her, win or lose. Viper may have more tools, but she's simply not fun to play as, at all. I can see why you recommended her now, but there's no way I'm gonna pick her up.
I don't want to play with Ryu or Sagat mainly because 3 billion other people play them. Where's the fun in that? Also, yea, the tier-whoring part, I don't like it. Unless I'm completely new to the game like T6.

Ooooh, the boxer comment, that was actually directed to a certain somebody who said I had a solid boxer and I had to find out from someone else that it was a lie! Yes! You know who you are! *shakes fist* That was just a comment out of spite, that's all.

Incidentally, I dropped Rufus, Seth, and Dan to work more on Claw and Gouken. I'm getting way better at the Izuna Vortex against Shotos, and I'm working on the DF Vortex with Gouken.

Yeah, they're one of mine too. I finally had a chance to see them a few years back (one out of the 10000000 reunions they've done) and it was pretty amazing.
Do you guys consider Zangief cheap in SFVI? He's always been my main in the series, but I hate using the cheap guy.
Cheap? No. Annoying? Yes. He gives a lot of characters a really hard time because it's really hard to keep him out once he gets in. The priority the lariat has can be ridiculous and I personally hate the matchup because you have to keep so much distance (I mainly play Balrog).
I'm with Jimbo though, I hate using the word "cheap" - unless of course you're talking about someone like Akuma in ST .
You would, try offering tips and not taunts dammit!
Eh, even after playing Shini for hours today, I like cammy but not enough to stick with her. I don't really like any of the cast enough to main someone, bleh, guess I will have to wait for SSFIV.

I think Integrity is banned from playing NorCal now haha. Years ago I was supposed to see them with Out To Win (Ex. Mushmouth) opening. So the dudes in Integrity thought up of the greatest idea to bring OLC merch to sell. The biggest crew in the area pretty much told them to leave when they were at the venue, so they packed up and headed for the next town.
Haven't seen them out here since, and that was 2003. They were supposed to play a show in NorCal when To Die For was first released but I think they bailed that show.
Uraizen, let's hope you find a good main when Super comes out.

Haha. When I saw them it was in like '05 with Death Before Dishonor, Kids Like Us, Know the Score, and On Our Own. It was a great show in a relatively small club. Unfortunately a lot of kids left after KLU. I thought it was pretty funny that Dwid was rolling around the show before they went on in a Hawaiian shirt.
Their new album is finally supposed to come out this year on Deathwish - if the Walpürgisnacht 7" & track they put out on last year's Deathwish sampler are any indication it should be awesome. Maybe that means they'll start touring again?
Dizzy if you like Cammy role with her. I don't think she is as " meh " as most people put out. Her cross up game is pretty strong, not Viper good but still. If you like her just play her and the nah sayers.
Rod Geif isn't cheap at all. His SPD scares the shit outta me with Sakura, but I don't see him being cheap. Though his new ultra looks even more scary to me. Jumping on him will be a new lvl of pain.
Do you guys consider Zangief cheap in SFVI? He's always been my main in the series, but I hate using the cheap guy.
Gief in SFVI is disgusting, he can jump on a hoverboard and do lariats and you can't do anything to stop it. It sucks.
He also can get a sports almanac and travel to CvS2 so he can do big damage when the battle is about to explode.

MtlTom, who knows they may or may not. Though I'm loving the influx of Integrity clones out there (some really really good), looking forward to the real thing.
Know The Score is rad. My friend Pete sings for them.

Sure her j.LK does it. On the Shoto's and Sim you need to do it on their wake up. There might be a few other people it will only work on their wake up, but I know for a fact the other big names it works like normal. So is it reliable, yeah but more situational than others ( strict hit box ).
Is that like a Lego Devil Jen or something different? Cool all the same.

Yea, I remember it being sort of unreliable because of how it's used on various characters in the cast. As you said not as guaranteed as some of the other characters Crossups.
I think something Cammy SFIV related made the front page on SRK today.
Also on a random note, because my 360 died and I have no use for my 360 TE I'm trying to sell it to a friend of mine who has been borrowing it. MarkMan, is it worth putting what I'm selling for towards one of those fancy Viewlix PS3 HRAP's? Shit looks nice?
Is it easy to mod? What kind of parts are stock? Is it easy to dual mod?

Yeah and when compared to Viper, Viper is the clear winner for a crossup. Cammys cross up is hard to use online as well since the hit box is so damn small. Though Cammy does have a kara throw while Viper doesn't which, adds a little more to what Cammy can bring. Both a pretty damn good though, I gotta support any rush down toon.
