Yo, TvC online sucks sucks and isn't playable one damned bit. If you've played KoFXII online, it's kinda like that. Count me out of TvC.

Wireless, the LAN adapter doesn't work too well with Wiis that run homebrew. It'll usually crap out so I had to go wireless unfortunately, couldn't go back to OFW either because my Wii is region hacked, literally. It was from FL to CA, I kept it within the USA at least.

MtlTom, I didn't accept your friend request because my Xbox 360 is currently dead, with no plans to replace it.

Sucks about the TvC online. I guess I'll stick with my import copy since SSFIV is (sort of) just around the corner.
 
Hmm, there are a few vids out of people going over the online in TvC. Most have said it is pretty good, not great but good enough to play. I'll have to wait and see when my copy comes in, if it is that bad... I guess I will pick up Tekken #-o
 
I didn't think the online was horrible. I only got into one match out of about 15 that was unplayable.

I also got into a couple that weren't "lagless" but felt pretty close. (About 4 out of 15)

The rest were playable, but not perfect.

Same thing with my order, but I am hoping that is just a place holder date just in case something comes up and they can't meet the street release.

Same here, I'm renting from Gamefly so hopefully they can get it out on time. Still debating on a team. Of course I wont be sure till I get some practice time but I'm leaning torwards Joe the Condor & Alex.
 
Good to hear, he was always my favorite in Gatchaman. Also how's Zero? I was also think about picking him up. He's not too shoto is he?
 
Zero plays kinda unique. He's a character you'll definitely have to put some time into. One of his specials (QCB + Attack) is just a different series of movements. Weak does a short dash, Medium does a longer dash and Strong does a jump up in the air. I haven't found a good use for these moves yet but I have the feeling they will end up being useful in combos and stuff. He also doesn't have the standard W->M->S link, so it takes a little getting used to. I plan on putting some more time into him soon, but I haven't had the time yet. Only played for ~ 4 hours so far.

He doesn't play much like a shoto.

Which LAN adapter causes problems with hombrew capable Wiis? I have the Rocketfish and it works very well.
 
Sounds like Zero has a bit of depth to him. That's good, I generally dislike easy to pick up characters and was worried he might fall into that category.

I really didn't like TvC's choice of Mega Man. I'd perfer either original or X. And I'm still surprised they haven't included Dante in one of these vs titles yet.

Brrooo... you just reminded me of something. You guys remember when dudes was having that beef with ECA for automatic membership renewal and no way to turn it off? I just logged into my account.. there's a little area where you can check renewal options. Mine was set to auto-renew but I turned it off... it's a shame the codes were abused and the program was shut down though. :\

What are people's opinion of Battle Fantasia for PS3? I think the art looks cool, but past that, I'm not real sure. I haven't been able to find much on the netz. How is the netcode and the community? Those probably would be the overriding factors. Thanks.

I think the Community is pretty much the guys who play it over at SRK. I know Buktooth was pretty into Battle Fantasia.

The problem is the game never really took off in Japan and when it was released on 360, it never took off here either. I know a handful of the guys on SRK were saying it was hard to find random games online.

I had the game for 360, it was a lot of fun. Decently balanced, minus the obvious two "God Tier" characters.

Also, LostRoad, thanks for the putting up that trailer. EX Jaguar Tooth juggles???? Yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

It looks like the jaguar toof crosses up too. So... who were the "God Tier" characters in Battle Fantasia? I never got the chance to play it online with somebody either, nobody bought it! :cry:

Late April is too far away for Super. I vote March.
 
The North American boxart for SSFIV is TERRIBLE. Stick figures probably would've been a moderately better upgrade. Also, the 360 version in Japan gets the anime exclusively or something? What's up with that? That doesn't really make any sense. It definitely won't move any more copies. And why do they STILL refuse to reveal the final 3 characters?

How is the Wii TvC stick anyway? I wish there was a way to use my 360 stick on Wii without modding the stick.

Lookign forward to to my birthday party this saturday: it's taking place in the art show I curated (closing night), i've got two music bands playing, and we're going to have a ton of cigar smoking alongside some good drinking.

Last year's bday was good with CvS2 being played for a long ass time.
