He had to make room for all the truth he's about to slam down.
But that whole point doesn't matter since 3rd Strike > SFIV
Part 2 of truth slammed down.
And gameplay is why I would play a game. ;)
Part 3 has just crushed an entire civilization of forum goers.

Part 1 had already been slammed into everybody's face.
Say what you will about its shitty artstyle, but it takes more than that to be good at SFIV.
But that whole point doesn't matter since 3rd Strike > SFIV
Only if you want to be pro.
There are overpowered characters that you can pretty much put little to no effort in and still win a lot of matches without having "skill". Not quite the Eddie Gordos or Hwoarangs of the SF universe, but the same basic idea of not sucking without really knowing what you're doing is there. ;)
And I agree 100%, 3s > 4 any day of the week.
Story is lame in GOW, epicness means nothing to me, and 30 FPS in GOW3 is weak. Game play hasn't changed a damn bit. It's still mash out combos and watch the blood.

I dunno, maybe I just like my action games to require more skill and less combo mashing. I don't get off on the spectacle and EPICNESS.
Huh. Once I learned to dodge in that other game, or had adequate accessories for triggering witchtime, I think I used the punch punch punch punch punch combo about 300x more than any other combo, since it counts. Occasionally, I'd mix a kick in.

If what the developer said about "try button mashing your way through GoW3..." is correct, I might have a more varied combo set in GoW3 than I ever came close to in that other game. ;)

And there's no way any version of that other game had a constant frame rate >= 30+ FPS. ;)
All games come down to that, man.
SF4 is just "jump around and mash fierce/roundhouse". :p
Lol.. what a dumb nig. Come see me on XBL SON.

Like most action games, try playing on the higher difficulties, it's way better that way. You can get away with mashing in almost any action game on normal.

It still takes skill to win, picking Ryu or Sagat isn't a guaranteed win. Obviously they have tiers for a reason, but it's not "pick _________ and win."

Noobs pick Sagat, they die against any decent player.

I always try to be pro. Play to win. See you at Evo. :bouncy:

Other game definitely had framerate issues. We shall not mention the PS3 version, since it's a Sega hack job shitfest. I'd ask for a PC version, but Sega would fuck that up too.

And it's funny it took them 3 games to finally force you to not mash through crowds. Yet that's what I still see in any video of it.
Like most action games, try playing on the higher difficulties, it's way better that way. You can get away with mashing in almost any action game on normal.
Amen. Ninja Gaiden was easy to spam izuna drops and flying swallows on normal, but step up the difficulty and get crushed if you tried that shit.

I beat it on hard mashing square/x.

Square... so the PS3 version? X was jump and square was the guns... sorry, but no.

um... x is the 360 version of square, i think... whatever the button for punch was. with the sword quipped. :p

Oh, I thought you were talking about both buttons, not distinguishing between the two console's buttons for a single attack. Either way, that's just the guns, Y/Triangle is to punch and B/circle is to kick. You don't get the sword until much later in the game, lol. I get your point though, mine however still stands. Some enemies are immune to bullets! Still, beating it with just the Y/Triangle button is hard to believe.

EDIT: *checks achievement* ... if you really did do that, then you win this round ... for now

You know, I actually played Dynasty Warriors 3 like an hour ago with one of my friends for like 2 hours. It was pretty awesome. It's fun to talk about fighting the yellow menace and make fun of the voice acting. That said, it's made me mentally exhausted.

Dude, you forgot the magic tornado shit that's in the GOW3 10 minute German teaser. Krautos has never been more ENRAGED.:bomb::bomb::bomb:

I'm so tired, and sleepy.
Why do I stay up looking at nothing online rather than play games I paid good money for.

At least I discovered a Raymonde single that I don't own.
None on ebay though there are two completed listed, one unsold for $75 and one sold for $23. Hmm... not bad at all.

Not just y. But if I loaded it up and checked the combo numbers on the loading screen, most things would be under 20, some would be under 50, and punch punch punch punch punch would be over 350.

I had fun with the game... but the last game like it that I remember actually needing/wanting to vary my combos on harder difficulty (and I've never tried GoW on anything other than normal, so I don't know if it qualifies on the harder difficulties either) was DMC4.

DMC3 is probably a great example of it, because that game is hard as fucking nails... and I know for sure I didn't eventually beat it on whichever lower difficulty I was playing on using one combo.

I miss read that at first, I thought he was talking about his best game on the planet... but with a changed control config. I mean, my experience, without changing the buttons. or thought he'd changed control schemes.

hold square, roll dodge, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, roll dodge, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle, CIRCLE

Sorry. My bad. ;)

There are at least 7 goddamn AAA games coming this month, wtf? Just one of them would've been enough.

3/09 - Final Fantasy XIII
3/09 - Yakuza 3
3/16 - Infinite Space
3/16 - Dragon Age: Awakening
3/17 - Perfect Dark HD
3/22 - Cave Story
3/23 - SMT: Strange Journey

lol Yeah chun li strike is much better than 4. So funny to hear

Haha, thanks guys.

I think I'll just pay a local shop to do a 'real' fix for it as I do want to keep the system as a secondary PS3.

There's no Slim deals out there is there?

And fuck you to Heavy Rain, I know that game did me in. :shakes fist:

i don't think there are slims out there to have deals on.

?

No slims? I was in best buy this past week and they had a table of em...

I'd go slim, but its alot cheaper for me to send in my PS3 unless gamestop dosnt check my damn disc drive.

I'm looking online to get some kind of cashback.
Buy.com, Amazon, Bestbuy.com, Walmart.com, Target.com all sold out.

3/09 - Final Fantasy XIII

3/09 - Yakuza 3
3/16 - Infinite Space
3/16 - Dragon Age: Awakening
3/17 - Perfect Dark HD
3/22 - Cave Story
3/23 - SMT: Strange Journey

Only two must haves here. Don't really care about the others. I have cave story already, and it's free.

I went ahead and fixed that list. Me getting Cave Story is entirely dependent on the game's price. If it's $10, then they hurt themselves.

Yeah Dallow, Wiis are actually easier to find than PS3's right now. The world as we know it is coming to an end.

$10 cave story is hurting? It's perfect IMHO especially with all the updates. Unless I'm reading you wrong.

I wanna sell my Wii and Monster Hunter Tri is the only thing holding me back.

I'd say $10 for Cave Story is hurting because the other option is $0.

Rolento, if thou dost not go for Galaxy 2 or Other M, thou will receive such a beating!

Realized today that I still haven't played any 2010 games (bar Lost in Nightmares).

Brb, gonna start Bayonetta :p

Yay. Found a cheap ps3 official component cable for my PS2.

Also dropped off my PS3 at a local shop to reflow the mobo. I don't trust myself to do it.

Hope you didn't pay much, probably the hardest part about it is keeping track of how to reassemble the ps3 lol.

It's also a bit time consuming, so if time is an issue, then I gotcha
