Well...since I just finished ME, I started with Fallout 3....I can already tell that these two games are very different in a lot of ways.

Since I loved ME so much.......I'm not really liking FO3 too much. I guess I have to give it some time...........

I'm more interested in WKC than Mass Effect 2, which I don't care at all about. My interest in playing more Strange Journey tops all RPG's in Q1.

There's no demo in the JPN store--seems unlikely they'll make one just for the western market.

I'll wait for more impression's on WKC. The multiplayer setup will make or break it, as the combat doesn't seem to be much more involved than MMO fare.
 
I read that the single player is ok, if a little on the easy side.

My understanding is that the multiplayer is a lot like Monster Hunter, so I guess if you don't like that kind of game then it's "break it". :p

I like Level 5 games as a whole, but I'm going to wait for bargain bin time for WKC.

I'm getting the Fallout 3 itch again, need to get more of the DLC and get up to level 30 still on my main save.

Then eventually start my all evil playthrough of the entire game (DLC and all) afterwards.
 
I got MX vs ATV reflex from the childs play raffle. It's.. okay. Saints Row 2 for PS3 which is good too, i'd rather have had the 360 version, and some MX vs ATV game for PSP that's stinky poo.

I appreciate the donor and would have chipped in regardless, so don't think i'm complaining.

The wire is a great show! I bought the entire series.
 
Rei do you know anything about that Gamestop trade 7 get $50 deal? want to check out your marketing binder for the CAGs?

We know it's on next week just don't know what the minimum TIV is. I could see getting rid of some crap and getting Tastunoko vs capcom or NMH2 with that deal. Bonus $7.14 per is pretty good if the minimum TIV is still $2.

You'd actually find enough variety in the game to play through all 70 hours of it as evil instead of good? I mean, there are some *significant* changes, but really, they're just kind of cosmetic in the long run.

I personally played through everything as good (mostly), then started an evil character because I was missing some cheeses... that also allowed me to try the one major difference I thought was worth seeing... My playtime for my level 20 character was like 50 hours... not sure how long it took me to speed cheese my evil guy.

When I finished all of the DLC (screw you, Bethesda -- I was level 30 long before I finished it all), I think I hit 70+.
 
My character is level 23 ish at about 50 hours. That's most of the main quests, and the Operation Anchorage DLC. I've had the itch again lately too, but I don't own the game anymore. I'm waiting to find a copy for ~$20 to buy it again.

If you have to trade things that are "at least" $2, you'd be getting "bonus $5.14" per, wouldn't you?

Well they still give you that $2, so it's $7.14 bonus and $2 base.
But actually I don't think $2 games count, it has to be >$2 base value.

That doesn't make mathematical sense -- unless it's "Trade 7, get the credit, and we'll throw in $50 bonus credit", which doesn't seem likely to me. If they did... it means they gave you 7.14 bonus + the $2 base value (+edge even, but we'll ignore that for now...), so $9.14 per game... x7... you find 7 qualifying $2 games and you get ~$65 in credit?

Here, trade 7 qualifying old sports games we'll never get rid of for a new game and then some? Hell of a deal if you can swing it and it works that way.

That's exactly how it works, but the games have to be worth over $2 base value to qualify.

So any sports game thats not a 2010 version probably won't qualify, some of the 09 games may do, but I wouldn't bet on it.

It's a good deal, as long as you can live with the base credit values.

I'm guessing you don't trade stuff in at GS much Frosty ?

I used to do the trade 5 get 20% extra. Cleaned up with that one.
Normally, if it's a newer game and they don't have a promo like that going on that I can feed with flipped games, I'll sell it on half.com/amazon marketplace and take the money in my pocket.
The way Jer worded it made it sound like it was one of those "trade 3 from the list, get any one of these new games for 20"... where it was a $50 credit for any 7 games, period. Just the way I read it though.

Eh, I don't think your 60 character will count for that much to import -- from what I've heard, you get a 1-2 level bonus (so you start at 2 or 3 instead of 1) and you get some paragon or renegade points and some credits. Nothing major it seems, unless you *really* care about the few choices that carry over.

Thats fine with me. I'm just really interested in the results of my choices in the first game.
 
Ha, that actually gave me a couple of chuckles, DNB. They did pretty well on it. The camera shifts and running made me laugh.

Anyways, I'm finally over my flu and I can get back to playing games proper. Hopefully now I won't be falling asleep during Bayonetta every time I attempt to play it. :D
 
That's good... I hope you did not play too many games when you were sick. If I am ever sick (I had pneumonia a couple weeks ago) and if I play a game while sick, I will then contribute that game to the sickness. So weeks after the sickness if I try to play that game I will feel sort of ill... I'm just starting to get over that with DJ Hero, but it still does =(

I'm on my 4th 360. It only makes sense I'd be a bit careful when my most wanted game in a couple years is about to come out.

I have never had anything like that happen to me before, man.. But it sounds hellish. I couldn't stand feeling sick whenever I played a game while I was sick. :( I'm sorry for you getting a little sick when you play DJ Hero, hopefully you can really get over it quick.

I didn't really play any games while I was sick because I just wasn't in the mood to be awake for very long. I kinda just stayed awake long enough to get some work done and then I'd go straight back to bed. Sleeping so much paid off, though. I feel absolutely great now and it's just in time for my birthday tomorrow. :D I plan on playing a ton of Bayonetta tonight to celebrate the feelin' good.

Also, WOOOOO!!! I just got done watching the ME2 launch trailer for like the 5th time and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Giantbomb has another Quick Look of Dante's Inferno. The game looks like it will atleast be a decent God of War clone.

I can't watch that trailer :cry: Ugh I cannot wait, I have no idea how anything works in 2. I have not seen the HUD, Menu's, Planets (if there are any - like in ME1), ship or really anything. Oh and Happy Birthday!

And @random - Red Dead Redemption looks friggen insane... if that game comes out perfect, then it could definitely be in the running for my favorite game of all time. Looks so nice.

I get to play Strange Journey for the next month, so I don't have to wait. :cool:

Well, I don't doubt that you'll love the changes they made. I like the changes in all the things that you mentioned.

I share your sentiments about RDR. I saw a preview of it a little while back and it got me excited. I can't wait to play around in the huge looking enviroments.
