I just read that those are $4.99 DLC.

ugh so torn on Mass Effect 2 on 360 or PC..

I only own the PC version of ME1 but I dunno if the ol lappy will run it..
Bought a 60GB drive for my 360 today.

Don't have a transfer kit.

fuck. Anybody have a spare to lend/sell?
Haha, yea you really got to research that before you buy. I got a 120gb for Xmas and it did not come with the cable, so it is has been sitting here since then... I called Microsoft and ordered one (I hope to friggen baby santa it comes before ME2) and it cost me $15. I'm going to try and sell it for 15 once it comes.

And you can't get it at Best Buy or anywhere and you can't buy the 120gb HDD, use the cable and return it - because nobody has that either... so it is a PAIN. Order it now!

Nobody on here has one just sitting around doing nothing? That they wouldn't even take $10-15 for?

I lost mine or I'd just send it to you for free.
After finishing ME.....I'm REALLY disliking Fallout 3.....is that a normal reaction?
It was for me... It takes some adjusting. You should fall back into liking Fallout 3. I did, at least.

Weird... I could have sworn my laptop was supposed to have a Nvidia GeForce GT 320M and not a GT 230M. I wonder if HP is trying to pull something on me.

I have a transfer kit (complete with CD). There's a thread about it in the 360 section.

Uncharted 2 skins blurb on the PS Blog:
The UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack will be available for purchase globally on the PlayStation Store on January 28, 2010, for $4.99 in the US.

I finished the Wasteland Survival Guide in Fallout 3. I did every optional part, too. I need to get my Barter skill up in that game fast so I can reduce the cost of items so I can actually buy some things. I'm getting screwed about 40% both ways.
I lost mine or I'd just send it to you for free.
Drat. Appreciate the offer.

I'm having loads of fun w/ FFXIII right now anyway, and a decent sized backlog including L4D2, Fallout 3, Demon's Souls and in a week or so, White Knight Chronicles.

I'll never get through these titles.

So only Japan gets it for free? Nice one, Sony.

The first content pack will be free and in the Store on January 28 -- and it's kinda weird. It contains multiplayer character models of Resistance 2's Nathan Hale and a Chimera, InFamous' Cole (in both "good" and "evil" forms) and Zeke, and Killzone 2's Tomas Sevchenko and a Helghast soldier. The second DLC pack, dated February 25, adds two maps, one of which is based on the first Uncharted's "Ruins" area, and multiplayer models of the first game's Nate, Elena, Atoq Navarro, Eddy Raja, Roman Gabriel, and a mercenary. This pack won't be free, but no price has been specified. The third DLC pack, available April 15 and also premium, adds a new co-op multiplayer mode, along with four new maps and five new character skins.

How's Dark Void?

Hope to get that shit on PC when it's cheap.
Did anyone play Mass Effect on PC? That's a lot better - controls, visuals, menus, etc.

Started speeding through Tomb Raider: Underworld. It's not too bad, though it is the first PS3 game i've ever had just crash for no reason. No warning either, the screen just went black and I couldn't even turn my PS3 off by holding the front power button.

I even got the warning message about an improper shutdown that I have never seen when I turned it back on.

Playing Bayonetta and God, this game is like orgasmic candy. I did have to switch down to the Easy option though because I was having some problems getting a hang of the QTEs.

I volunteered to work the midnight for ME2. So I'll be home with it at 12:30. I'll be grabbing a 2 liter of Mountain Dew Throwback, and it's pure ME2 for the next 5 hours.
If I had to guess, I'd say about as good as Prototype.
Knowing how much jer likes prototype and how much negative buzz i'm getting about dark void, i'm going to have to rofl this.

I loved prototype, hate me. I'll never play it again, but I had such a great time with that game. Sequel, please. It's a lot like Assassin's Creed - a first next gen attempt that has some flaws but has some really good ideas underneath. I think the sequel, if they listened to the criticisms, could be just amazing. A lot like Assassin's Creed 2.

Dark Void demo was such a piece of shit, but I'd like to gamefly it and just give it a shot.

Well Amped 3 is the first casualty of my "play through every game in the collection and get rid of the ones you won't finish" - It's a fun game but I won't finish it, it's too long. Glad it's going for $10+ on amazon, cause I paid ~$4 for it.

Next up - Finishing AC2.

Nah dude. I liked prototype too. Not as much as you, but I liked it enough and had some fun with it until I beat it... never went back for anything else. But I hear so much bad about Dark Void (after having no interest/not knowing what it was), that I'm not going to waste the bandwidth downloading the demo.

Dark Void is one of those games where you think, wow, this could have been great, and it really makes you sad that it isn't.

Kinda like Devil May Cry 2 or something.

It's just that the shooting is so bad and nolan north is just being Nathan Drake in space with an ugly helmet, and YOU BECOME A PLANE. The jetpack doesn't control like a jetpack. You literally turn from a man into a plane with one button. It's not fun or unique.

Might as well be a transformers game.

I really wish I could start repairing my own stuff in Fallout 3. It's frustrating that I can't. The only way I can repair weapons right now is by having a second weapon of the item I want to repair, otherwise it's off to the Shop to spend caps.

I just managed to get to Level 11, so I finally decided to get the 10% Bonus XP perk which I have been ignoring until now for some reason. I also managed to get both items from Replicated Man, so that should make things easier as well.

you always need a second weapon for source parts... the assumption of paying the people caps to fix you magically is that they really have spare parts kicking around, so you're paying parts and labor. ;)
just make sure you're picking up lots of items that have decent sell rates and get your shit up.
focus on weapons like the chinese assault rifle/hunting rifle/etc if you can (you should have small arms proficiency, really), and sell any other weapon for awhile, including the ammo, especially for things you don't use like big guns or energy weapons.
get your barter skill up to get the prices down too. by level 11 or so, you should be cruising comfortably... :whistle2:?

Holy shit, does LinkinPrime know?!

Took me way too long to figure out I could do my own repairs in F3.

Borderlands is weird for me. I was very impressed with the first couple hours in single player. Then I went online and didn't enjoy it as much because now everything took a while to kill, and I was dying left and right. Now I'm about 12 hours in, and I haven't found a better machine gun in 6 hours. Where's all the good loot?

Are you checking the vending machines? After I got past level 25 that was pretty much the only place that I could find anything of worth to me. You'll go a long ways without finding anything because it seems like out of all the guns in the game that a good bit of them are just filler guns.. You rarely fimd anything mindblowingly awesome just messing around. Alternatively, you can farm the weapons chests in New Haven and you should get some good stuff that way.

-----------------------

Today's been a great birthday! So far I've gotten a year of Live (from the parents), and a bunch of the Blackest Night books (from the girlfriend). Also woke up to an e-mail for a free blu-ray from Disney Movie rewards. :D I think I'm going to play more Bayonetta now.

Happy Birthday Captain.

Finished the storyline of Brave: A Warriors Tale, what a strange and frustrating experience that was, should get my 1000 in it but it was a struggle. I must stop playing shite just for cheesemints.

So it seems like the GS deal now specfies $5 min base value on games, I think I might start trading on Goose Sex or something.

Any idea where I can get a 2nd Fat Man then? I didn't know that's how Repairs worked in this game. I've certainly gotten a few repairs, too. So I'm probably about 1000-2000 caps down because of those repairs alone.

You can check here. It even has the location of that crazy MIRV that'll shoot 8 nukes at once... Not sure why you would use that since there are so few mini-nukes in the game.

5 min? Welp, there goes that deal.

where's the best place to pick up No More Heroes 2?
Frys for $42.99 I suppose.

If its at Frys I'd have to order online since I have no B&M Frys.

I'll just pre-order or something at GS.

I normally am not good about this, but I've been making it a point to read nothing other than the initial news on No More Heroes 2 and Mass Effect 2 and so far its good. I dont want to fuck up a virgin experience since I normally read too much on stuff I like thus killing a small portion of joy that could be had ^_^

Thanks Dallow and Benjamouth!

Well, playing more Bayonetta and I was having trouble completing the trigger WT 10 times in a row and then I thought of something that seemed really smart! I was thinking that the achievements would be triggerable in the store while practicing moves before you buy them and I was right! So I think that if there are any more of those trigger X X amount of times cheevos then I'll try to do them in practice.

Eh, if all this "120GB HDD to be replaced by Elites w/ a 250GB HDD" stuff is true (and it all seems to be), there's no point in me clinging onto the 60GB HDD for an unspecified amount of time, unable to use it.

Back to GS with yeh. Shit, I had to delete The Lost and the Damned to have room for everything on my 20GB.

I think I used the repair functions in Fallout 3 maybe 5 times ever. I just carried around multiples of the weapons I used the most, the Assault Rifle and Combat Shotgun. The only concession was that I could only carry around 1 or 2 of the heaviest weapons at a time, which I don't really like to use anyway.
Shut the fuck up.

I've purchased 2 used PS3s and 2 used 360s.

Guess what system gave me a problem?

Yep, the PS3.

And spare me the bullshit about used PS3s are a gamble. If used Treys are a gamble, used 360s are scarier than swimming with sharks with chum shorts.
Don't ever buy a used PS3. The previous owners could have spilled Pepsi in the inside or never dusted it, leaving to your problems. My 20GB and slim were both new, run great too. :D

I did blog about my game wants from now until the end of June:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/blog.php?b=12424

I bought The Burning Crusade today. I've still got 15 levels to sixty, but I wanted to go ahead and pick it up since walmart had it for 20 bucks. Now I just have to find a sale on Wrath of the Lich King.

The cat at GS who took my HDD return claimed that the 360 transfer kit doesn't even *work* with the 60GB HDD.

1) Wha?
2) Is this possibly, remotely true?

It sounds rather silly on the surface, since I would think the only difference b/w HDD types is size. But it doesn't sound completely improbable and stupid - just mostly.
