General Gaming Thread 8: The ACTUAL Mass Effect 2 Edition...

I'll keep it for as long as it works, but I already buy all my multiplatform games on the PS3 and other than ME2 (and the eventual ME3) there isn't one 360 exclusive I want since I don't care for shooters. So after ME3, it's going to become my Wii Jr. Another system I never touch.
 
It has no option for controller input. I hate kb and mouse controls. On top of that I hate PC gaming. It's probably just a mental thing, but gaming for me is relaxing on my couch in front of my big, HDTV.

Same here. I've never liked keyboard and mouse controls, and I just can't game on a PC with how much time I spend on PCs working and surfing the net.
 
Who wants to get MAG with me and start a clan of super tough guys nobody messes with to the point where we have to play by ourselves?

Who would have thought that a game that should run on your computer would look like shit? That said if HP delays my laptop again I'll cancel my order and get one from somewhere else.
 
Hmm, if other GGT members are going then maybe I'll go to PAX too. I'm only an hour away from Boston. I just think it would be interesting to have a meet up. I have to say as much as we don't agree on things, I'd like to meet Jer XD
 
I'm hoping Giantbomb is at PAX East in some form. And the Retronauts podcast just announced they will be doing a panel at PAX East so I'll try and check that out.
 
I think they said they are. But at what capacity I don't know. I wish it wasn't in Boston, since it's too far for me to go (and I hate flying).

I had fun with the beta. I have an idea to get it even cheaper. When my gf goes to get me ME2 for vday, I'll tell her to get it at TRU and give her 40.00 for MAG. I'm sure if I hate it I should be able to sell it for around that.

Entirely possible. I checked out a walkthrough a little bit ago and I've not got farther to go at all, I think I have two or so chapters left and none of the levels I've played so far felt like the end, just like they were building up to it. Also, the story isn't as whacky as I thought, I can actually make pretty good sense of it so far.
 
Ugh what the fuck Kotaku... fucking ass hats... dammit, I was doing so well hiding from ME2 spoilers and then Kotaku posts videos of every person you can seduce and I tried to scroll away but I passed all the thumbnails and caught climpses on who are the possibilities ... -_-

I think I saw that one chick that is the evil chick on one of the thumbnails... dammit, now I know you can seduce her. I was thinking she would become a villian... =(

Nah I mean she knows it was my idea and boston has plenty of touristy things to do, we're going to be there all week, so the show won't be the majority of the time, and we get actual trip time before the show starts.

I'd be down with a GGT meetup, though. What's his name that got banned here but is on gaf(YuriLowell) PMed me already. I suggest a night of drinks and SF4 or something. Sorry Yuri I don't remember your CAG name.. oops.

At funspot where the King of Kong was partially filmed (the "DK Kill Screen" part) because it's only like 1 and a half hours away. I think that would be pretty awesome to see while it still exists.

I'll let you guys know next week if I can make it. Drinks sound good. Since I'm from the area I know some good places for that.

Wow, I just did the most amazing thing in ME1. I was driving in the Mako and I somehow got it to flip upside down - and then it proceeded to slide (upside down) across the map and I got stopped PERFECTLY by a Thresher Maw (those big sand creatures) and I just got stuck on its body (unable to flip back over) and he one hit swipes me... I wish I got video of that...

:cry: Well, I was E3 and saw the demonstration which had the Normandy blowing up. But I wasnt sure if that was an essential part to the story and I assumed it was only if you made the wrong choices ect. But, oh well.

I'm happy about getting the Blood Dragon Armor, but I hope all this armor is not that good... I don't want an easy ride through the game now.

Awww, I'm sorry you had a bit spoiled for you, DNB, but at least it's free. :D

I'm happy that I got the BLood Dragon Armor, too. That is probably the armor I'm going to use for a large chunk of the game just because it's so cool.

Yea, it is pretty cool.

I just feel pretty damn guilty for taking all that for free. I'm still getting the Collectors edition and I will definitely purchase all their DLC to make up for it. But, it is nice to get the blood dragon armor and Gamestop stuff.
 
MarkMan any inside info on any big names that will be at pax?

I grabbed a few of the ME2 DLCs before they got yanked.. nice deal!
 
Anyone of you guys seen any deals on Wrath of the Lich King? I'll be hitting 60 within the week and I'm gonna want to make a Death Knight as soon as I can. Not paying full price for it though.
