I'm sure KOFXII will sell another 10k units just like KOF usually does in the US. But despite that, I'm looking forward to the new KOF myself.
KOF12 will be for the chineese and the mexicans like it always is.

It looks like crap.
?????????????????

the sprites and animation look hot. someone needs a rectal atebit morhodenation.
I wouldn't call adding focus attacks and EX moves "new game mechanics."
FADC disagrees. The focus attack alone was enough for me to get pumped for SFIV. Have you seen what you can do with it?

I've always been a fan of fighters. I chose a SNES over a Genesis because of SF2. I've played just about every mainstream fighter. I also own Project Justice.
EX was in SF3. Ultras are new.
I didn't realize 3 had EX moves -- my bad. I've only played 3rd strike a handful of times -- and not really more than just using Ken and checking it out off the 25th Anniversary Collection...b

I wouldn't really call ultras new -- they're just a different version of a super, really. Sure, they charge a different way (damage taken vs. damage inflicted) and you use a couple extra buttons when you do the motion, but it's not all that different from a super in practicality.

Yeah... doesn't do much for me. I've tried them. I don't like them.

While the idea of taking damage and stunning someone is different and has potential, I just can't get into the system. I suppose I should see if there's anything in the tutorial so I can be more informed on their uses, but I still can't see it fitting into the way I play.

Add I've never been much into cancelling.
Yeah... doesn't do much for me. I've tried them. I don't like them.
Those suckers can be a life saver. FA to take an attack, dash forward to cancel then ultra their ass ... it works against the computer.

I stopped playing against the computer after I unlocked all the characters. Once through on medium with my boy Ken was more than enough. Seth is a cheap ass mother fucker and I don't feel like experiencing that again.

I started with a Genesis, but it was SFII that made me get an SNES. I played the shit out of it in college.

Hell yeah, me too, but I had a Genesis when I got my SNES, which was for Super Mario World, Final Fight, and Final Fantasy IV. I was a rabid SF2 fan though, I wanted it on SNES so badly after playing it in arcades and reading about it a ton. Days before the internet = crazy.
Street Fighter circle jerk thread.
Skeet skeet.

Seth was awesome as shit, especially on the harder levels. I loved fighting his stupid ass. How is he cheap anyway?
Seth's Ultra is unblockable right? Is it at least avoidable?
Avoidable, just jump

I was going to get back into Persona 4 when I finished MGS but I think I'd rather do a euro extreme, no kills, no alerts playthrough of MGS4. That boss I'm at in P4 makes me cry.

I had to wait a long ass time to get SF2 for the SNES. I forget if I even had the system when it came out...I don't think I did. My friends did, so I hung out with them as much as possible. if I slept over, I'd wake up early (like 5am early) and start playing.

They made him fast, gave him just about every counter move on the planet, and then made him teleport like a fiend. And I love how they dupe you into thinking it won't be bad by giving you a free round against him. Then he "powers up" or some shit. Dude teleports 67 times a minute, lands right next to you, you try to block as a reaction, you're getting spinning piledriven into the floor. you try to jump away, he laughs, teleports, and does a combo with his hurricane kick equivalent. you try to jump in, he dragon punches you. the only reason i was able to finish his ass off on medium was because he somehow allowed me to get the jumping roundhouse, duck roundhouse, rinse & repeat going.

Dude is the cheapest fighting game boss I've fought in forever. Worse than Jinpachi for sure... I mean, at least you could sidestep his shit and he didn't block *everything*.

Jinpachi is easy.

look at all these claims of cheapness. you're the newbiest newb that ever newbed. stop talking about cheapness before you go sub-newb critical and turn into a fetus.

I can't wait to trade these in over the next couple days:

Ratchet and Clank: Future
Uncharted
Heavenly Sword
Mario 64 DS
New Super Mario Bros DS
Fable 2
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters

all for $204!

The teleports are just kinda there, it's not like it actually does anything. Whenever he gets close, dash the fuck away or jump (yes, you can get away from him by jumping). He loves to grapple as you just pointed out. Oh... and do not jump towards him. Don't get so close to his royal assness or use special attacks that will get you close or require you to get close to him. Combo into the specials, the guy's not hard at all, even to a scrub like me. The only thing that constantly got me was when you were an arm's length away and ready to attack, he'd use his damned vortex.
Nope, just 3.
Hmm... Well PM me if you wanna try to work something out. I NEED to get rid of this dreamcast.

Azumangaman, maybe check my list for Heavenly Sword and R+C: Size Matters.... :D

I really like the Power Rangers fighting game on the SNES. You could be like.... any Megazord and maybe 5 different monsters. Way better than the Genesis fighter.

Jinpachi is a joke after playing him once.

I get perfects too many times on him.
I got Far Cry 2 today for $30. Is it worth that much or should I take it back?

Someone tell me, I'm too indecisive.
You'll probably love it. :)

Wasn't getting SF4, but I managed to score a bunch of Tiger Woods 09 to flip to GS. Scored SF4 & RE5 for about ~$45 each, which is certainly better than $66 each.
This.

Omega Rugal has brought me to tears many times.
It was thanks to Rugal, however, that I can dodge/roll past projectiles with ease.

tiger woods is a good flip?
interesting theres a few on clearance at my target...

Did the internet get worse with the imminent arrival of Street Fighter IV?

I think it did...

Not only has Gouken re-awakened, his horde of internet trolls have as well...

-_-

Its pretty annoying that decent threads and topics can get so derailed by a bunch of bitch ass fools being all bitch assy!

hopefully it'll clear up soon.

and hopefully I can find SFIV at target tommorow or the next day!

fuck the haters. Some people love to bitch about whatever, so much so that they focus on the negative more than the positive.

SFIV baybee!! I have to wait until Thursday though.
Dural is a bitch too. Can't even continue 10000 times like you can with the KOF bosses.
Dural wasn't bad for me and I don't even play VF right. I hate the game and just end up using drop kicks and clotheslines with Wolf.

I don't have the big of a problem with his vortex, as I'm usually far enough away that he can't hit me with it and I just use the opportunity to trip him... My problem with trying to jump away from the asshole is his instant dragon punch 5 hit combo ex move or whatever it is... I try to block, he grapples, I try to jump away, I get hit with the dragon punch of doom. And his damn special/ultra gauges fill way too fast for the amount of damage I'm NOT doing to him. :whistle2:?

SF4 fightpad is awful.
I can barely hit the directionals on it now. They hardly register. Ima try it with SF4 and if its awful its going back on ebay/amazon/cag.

Really? I would think it would have better directional recognition than the shitass 360 controller's d-pad...

Works fine for me. Of course the most i have used it for is Sonic's Collection with the unnecessarily long name...

I've been playing Spider-man: Web of Shadows since I picked it up. It's far from a perfect game but it's fun enough. The only thing that really gets on my nerves is the voice acting in the game...
