No, it's not the same, just like SF3 isn't a prettier SF2 with new characters.
:whistle2:k

SFIV is on my back burner.
And I'm going to say it. $60 for a fighter I'll play a lot for a week and a half then put on my shelf and consider selling/trading is a bit steep for this guy

My PS3 is verticle. My two 360's were horizontal. I wonder if there's a pattern there?
I heard that thing has crazy input lag ... unless you can show me otherwise.

... Close enough
I have no idea. I'm gettin' the adapter for free, so I'll try it out when it gets here.
I ain't got those types of skillz yet ... *goes to see how to do it*
Hmm... am I to assume there's no tutorial on how to install a cthulhu to a HRAP EX yet? I didn't find one on my search on google ... I usually got pointed back to SRK or NeoGAF anyway.

HRAP EX doesn't have a common ground PCB. So no dual mods without replacing the PCB with a common ground one. I knew this going in, and I don't care. 360/PC stick is good enough for me.

I've got my Sanwa modded Namco for PS2/everything else with adapters. :)

You can dual mod a FS SE since it uses a common ground. You would just need to get a Sanwa joystick to replace the stock stick ASAP.
Nah, JPN store.

Saw the pics of your new stick at Gaf. Looks awesome.
Thanks.

Well, too bad about JPN only thing, I'll have to try it out either way.

-----

I haven't played GTA4 in so long, just got back into because of TL&TD, and I forgot how to get in a cab without jackin' it.
But who besides me isn't getting SFIV??
Me!

I'm just not into fighting games honestly. I'll play them here and there, but I won't drop $60 on one.

And Yakuza 3 :whee:

I wish Sega would bring it over. It can't be that hard for them to just translate it, right?

They really should bring over Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 over here, 'cause PS3 needs moar exclusive gamez. Plus it kicks all kind of ass. Karaoke + golf + beat downz + Ginza hoez = zawesum x infinity.

But the other two games sold like shit over here for a number of reasons, and Sega is pooping money out it's collective ass like a Tijuana burrito, so they don't have a lot of incentive to port it over at the moment. :(
Yakuza 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Street Fighter IV >>>>>>>>>> Killzone 2.

it will also sell a lot more.

It's over. Sony is finished.
Fix'd

You needn't worry about Yakuza 3 coming over to the US. Sony needs all the exclusives that they can get over here, and I'm sure they'd even be willing to foot the bill themselves for a translation. A console price drop and a handful more exclusives would really go a long way to making a good holiday season for Sony later this year.

I don't really think SCEA sees Yakuza as a valuable exclusive.

I tried the Killzone 2 demo yesterday, wasn't that impressed. But I'll have to try it again with higher control sensitivity.

 I think maybe in the long run SF might sell better but or if you include the 360 numbers combined W/the PS3 it will outsell KZ2. Either way I am interested in seeing SF sales numbers just for the fact that I KNOW that fighting games are not dead, but that SF IV will sell though the roof(I hope).

yeah, the hype for the game is pretty awesome. February NPD will actually be pretty interesting

I think it is pretty cool as well to see all of the hype for the game, the game seems like it's meeting or even exceeding people's expectations.

It's a series that I've grown up with and the one fighter that I have even attempted to play and get good at. I will admit, it would be really neat to see the series come full circle in mainstream popularity.
not mine.
I guess, I meant more like reviewer scores seem to be in the high 8-9.5 range. I know it's not going to satisfy everyone. But what seem to be the complaints about it?

I think my problem with the game stems from the use of the 3D models and the "2.5-D gameplay". It doesn't feel quite right to me. Hating the graphics style and the new characters doesn't help either. ;)
not mine.
Me neither.

I'm glad I dropped the 1200 fake currencies on SSF2HD.

I also wish the MadCatz SF4 fightpad had analog nubs.

I don't need more 1 game controllers.
There's a whole shitload of shit you can use your fightpad with on XBLA, dummy.
don't those fightpads have a switch to toggle the pad from "analog" to "dpad" input? thus, as long as a game didn't require dual analogs, you could play retail games with it too?
There's a whole shitload of shit you can use your fightpad with on XBLA, dummy.
Yeah, I could use the fightpad on stuff like Pac-Man CE, but I don't have problems with the standard 360 controller outside of SSF2HD.

How old are you, Apossum? I think once you hit 30 your taste in stuff starts to go downhill. I was listening to Lil Wayne when I picked up my boss this morning and he changed it to Zeppelin. What the Hell is wrong with old people?
don't those fightpads have a switch to toggle the pad from "analog" to "dpad" input? thus, as long as a game didn't require dual analogs, you could play retail games with it too?
I don't know what you just said.
I think there's just the turbo button? :whistle2:| I have 50-60 arcade games, so it works out for me.

There's apparently a "3-way switch" on them somewhere that tells the 360 what input to accept the dpad as. (Left analog, right analog, or dpad.)

Nice, I approve of that change. :)

BTW, I don't have long until I'm "old". :oldman:

I kind of want one for XBLA stuff, but not for $40 (especially for a wired pad) and preferably without SFIV art.

Rap sucks and Zeppelin rocks? :D

Nah, taste doesn't go downhill when you hit 30. You'll see it stays the same and you just don't like new music etc. as much and still prefer to listen to the bands you listened to through your teens-early twenties. I still mainly listen to mid 90s bands.
ggt is so failtastic lately.
GGT has been pretty failtastic since this post.

So who besides me is getting a new DSi in April? I figure its about time to finally replace my electric blue phatty.

I'm fine with my launch DS lite, so no DSi for me.

But definitely would upgrade if I only had a Phat. Though I'd probably still get a Lite to have the GBA slot, not interested in the camera etc. on the DSi anyway.

Ummmm... #-o

I'm not too keen on the camera gimmick either, but my phat is in real need of replacement. I'm still using the original battery, so it doesn't hold half the charge it used to. And I still have my Micro for GBA games, so that's no big loss.
You look like you're 46, though. >:]
lol, Not when I shave. I shave, I'm 16. It's nice buying beer and not getting carded though.

Hell yeah. I listen to a bunch of music dating back to 60's up until late 90's. New music sucks ass.

Speaking of new music, my friend and I will be jamming tomorrow night with some dudes we know, and our tastes will definitely clash. My friend and I like to rock out, bring the noise, bring the funk, etc., while they seem intent on writing songs that you can relate to. We want to have a good time, they want to reflect on the past. Still, maybe something good will come of it.

I should probably play a game or something.

I'll probably get a DSi. I'm a sucker for handhelds.

BUT I HATE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T PLAY STRAIGHT FROM THE SD CARD FOR DSIWARE, JUST LIKE THE SHITTY WII!!!!
Do you guys remember Herc's Adventures on PS1. I loved the demo. That shit was so tight.
I do. :)
