Dead space is worth the 60, but don't spend more than 40 on it.
It is relatively short, but I say play through it on easy. Watch the movie downfall, then play it on the hardest difficulty. It's an amazing experience!
I'm about to spend $76 to get Demon's Souls...I think it would be worth it.

At least I hope it is.
if you don't like it let me know... I might want it.

Will do...if I can get myself to click the last button to complete the order.

$76 for a game just seems like a lot...but it looks like this one probably isn't hitting the U.S. so it might be worth it.
depending on the release price, I'll probably get this:

Woohoo, confirmed purchase!

:whistle2:kThis really confused me.

I don't know what it is about the 360 version of Devil May Cry 4, whether it's the controller or it's more difficult, but I suck at this version of the game. I blew through the PS3 version on Devil Hunter (the difficulty I'm playing on 360 right now) without dying, and on this version, I died 5 times on the third boss. What is going on?

I also can't get an S combo for the life of me (On the PS3 version, I got it on the first mission when I started the game). It's always some random dick enemy that just comes out of nowhere after my combo when I'm vulnerable and resets my combo.
Anyone play the Bionic Commando MP demo yet?
Stupid work.
I played it back at ScreenBurn Arcade during SXSW and it was sweet.

I really liked how the combat, and platforming really went well together IMO. The only problem I had was the very generic weapons, and character designs.

I'm feeling very tempted by the Wolverine game for some reason. But I know I'll lose a piece of my soul by paying full retail for a movie license game.

I'm also kinda interested in Sacred 2.

Oi, I think I'll pick up Dead Space tomorrow. Are there any places that have a deal on it?
Some Targets have it for $30, but YMMV.

I was gonna, but I forgot to download it before I left this morning.

It's in my queue though.

Finally got around to gettin mah skull back on Hard. Tried playing as a member of G-Unit, but they suck. Listening to that DJ talk shit was painful.

Also beat Uncharted on the highest default difficulty and found 40/60 treasures on my first run-through.

Outside of trophies, there's no reason to play it again, right?

Thanks for telling us about the contest.

I submitted a name, but the only prize is your name in the credits? Not even a copy of the game?

:whistle2:|

Don't be greedy!

jk, but my name in the credits would be amazing.
Also, the fact that you named the game.
:crosses fingers:

Hey mak, I want Sacred 2 as well. Looking for co-op buddies.

The game was being developed before they slapped the movie license on it and its all kinds of fuck awesome. Its God of War w/ a Wolverine skin. Rated M, not T. And blood. Buckets of it. :whee:

Rent it, fo sho.

I bought it. I'm a sucker for God of War clones.

Hmm I dont know. I was thinking 360 but I could do PS3 as well.

Also :whee: .. we're on the Battle of Hastings page.

Dallow - have you read anything on which might be better? Better graphics, lack of glitches, exclusive dlc .. anything?

White Knight Chronicles lives!
Guy seems to really like it.

Haven't heard anything about DLC for either game. (and it's been on PC for months now), and the company who made just went bankrupt... oops.
PixelJunk: (yournamehere)

There's a contest at the official site to name the game.
I'm not saying what I submitted yet.

There's also unlockable filters, videos, and costumes I think.
One makes him Crash Bandicoot-ish.
Trophies are tied to these unlocks.
It looks really good. I'm not sure how they are going about choosing a name and a winner... Especially if they want a one word name. I chose, PixelJunk: Thermal. But I think PixelJunk: Element is a better name.

@White Knight - man, I really want to try it. Looks good.

I'm liking what I'm seeing of the new PixelJunk game. Entered the contest too, but I dunno how they're going to pick a winner if they want to keep the one word title going, either.

Hmm, maybe they can choose a name. And look at the earliest entry for that name (first person to say it) and they get put in the credits.

It says in the fine print before the entry page that they pick the name they like best as the winner. If multiple people submitted that name, they randomly pick one as the winner. Then they pick five semifinalists whose names weren't winners but still get a t-shirt.

I like them a lot too. :crosses fingers:
*raises hand*

I got into a fight with a neighbor over Pit Fighter.
Trying to get the game back, or beating him up for allowing you to play it? :)

I went with: Construct

the definition of that word fits best with the game.

I haven't yet seen the title suggestion I submitted for the new PJ game mentioned anywhere yet.

I eagerly await the BlazBlue LE from GS.com.
The BlazBlue LE is really nice. Especially considering you don't pay any extra for it!
Indeed. I'm going to be picking that up... even if I'm not that big of a fan of fighting games.
I sent in Pixel Junk: Elements before Darkness mentioned it.
Given the gameplay concept, I think that will be the most frequently submitted name.

I went with PixelJunk: Discovery... I thought of calling it Elements as well, but went with the former, since it has a nice ring to it... for me anyways. ;)

MAG looks pretty intense, but I'm wondering if I'll ever be able to find 255 live, competent people to play with/against.

I can't imagine what the usual online FPS douche-baggery will be like x16. :p

to be honest, i havent had too many problems with PSN players being jerkoffs.

My biggest worry with mag is that with that many people, how much will it feel like one good squad is making a difference in the game. I mean, the best multiplayer games offer great incentives to do well in games, and I'm not sure how much incentive a game can offer to each player, of 255.

(If that doesn't make any sense, I apologize. it makes sense in my head)

I'm ok with the larger scope.

Sony has kind of dabbled with this before with Planetside. I never got a chance to play Planetside, but I heard good things about it and the community that came around it. I'm sure there will be directives and objectives to keep players focused.

The previews say you're free to wander off and do your own thing, but you get incentives for sticking with squads, like faster reloading and other things like that. You also get bonuses for completing orders that commander set for the army. I'm not that interested since I've never been interested in Zipper's other games.

The online issues with the Bionic Commando demo better just be servers being overwhelmed and not something that's wrong with the retail game.

just saw the bionic commando contest on gaf so anyone interested in joining?
http://www.capcom-unity.com/snow_infernus/blog/2009/04/29/bionic_commando_demo_is_live_contest__win_64000_microsoft_points_the_easy_way

To win, all you have to do is download the demo, change your motto to "Bionic Commando = RAD", and send THIS GUY a message with your gamertag, and 7 other friends' gamertags who've also downloaded the demo and changed their mottos. If we pick your message and list of friends, you get the lunch box, 8,000 MS Points, and a code for BCR. And each of your friends will get 8,000 MS Points and a code for BCR.
Since we're only giving out one lunch box, and selecting the winner at random, your friends can also enter and include you on their list. And if you have more than just 7 other friends who changed their motto and downloaded the demo you can enter multiple lists.

I'll join up with you and whoever else Nelo--so can we all enter just by referring each other?

If we don't win, then I will change the motto to: "Bionic Commando = Sad".

If the demo sucks, then I might do that regardless hehe.
