ICO makes me feel dumb, I'm only a few couches in but I'm stuck because apparently Yorda is too tired to slide down a chain and I can't seem to figure out how to grow a few feet taller to reach a torch so I can set some bombs.
Nice! I'm also playing ICO at the moment. Game is great, I'm a
few couches after getting the sword... it is awesome

Man I really want to GameFAQs this puzzle. I bet if I hook my PS2 up to an SDTV instead of my HD monitor I'll probably see something I'm missing. I'll have to look into that tomorrow...

I got some games for Father's day RE:5, Sacred 2,Red Faction: Guerrilla. Have many of you guys played Red Faction: Guerrilla yet? I just played a little bit last night, it was pretty damn fun! I enjoyed the first two and this one really lives up to the destruction that they promised last gen.

I have not tried Sacred 2 yet, but the employees at GS said it was similar to Baldur's gate, Champions of Norrath, etc. have any of you played it yet? If so is it simliar or better? I mainly got it for co-op with the wife, but I saw you can play it online.

I started up Uncharted and it seems fun. I'm trying to get used to the fact you don't have to hold up to jump to another foot hold like the Tomb Raider games.
Beat Steambot Chronicles on PSP and it's pretty good. I'll have to write up something tonight on it.
I'll have to check it out. I liked what I played of the PS2 game. But that will need to wait until I finish Uncharted.

Your extensive time evaluating the game certainly justifies your opinion on it.

Oh right, I'm supposed to blow $460 on Resistance 2 before I can make a judgement on it instead of infering from the information I have.
So awesome.

Anything to disagree with TEH XBOT FANBOI OMG

Nevermind that PC, Wii, DS, PS2, and PSP in my house I play games on. Those don't matter. Nevermind that the only people bringing up the fucking PS3 in this thread are the conspiracy theorists who need to find a simple reason for why something I say might be different than what they think rather than reading anything or putting any thought into the discussion. If you're too thick to understand the difference between not wanting to buy a new system for a game you have reservations about and evaluating a game for a platform you own, I can't help you.

Prototype is a great game and it's a shame it's getting snubbed in the press and by a lot of people as a second rate title. I hope it sells well so Radical can do a follow up that polishes the problems the first one has.

For all the crying about not having originality in games everyone's pretty down on Prototype, an original IP from a fairly unknown developer. Can I explain that away by saying it's not a PS3 exclusive so you guys don't like it? That's how we do things around here, right? Blame it on the platform? Just trying to keep the theme running here.
Note- it's a joke.

If we could all just drop the auto-assumption that everything I say is just because of my "bias", i'd be nice to everybody.

I think jer absorb too many people and it has caused him to go into rage mode.

Which one is giving you troubles? I may be able to help out.

I think I want to play ICO after I finish prototype.. I'm not sure. I've had it forever and never really sunk time into it. Either that or get back into Fallout 3.

It a pretty okay game.

Your smart ass comment followed by an antiquated cliche has elevated your status among peers on your internet forum. Congratulations.
Ah. My mind was boggled.

I wanna play Rock Band Unplugged but not 40 bucks of want.
It would be an easier recommendation if Harmonix or Backbone had the DLC factory working a bit harder to either get DLC out more often or in bigger bunches. It's kind of an early Rock Band situation where you don't have that many songs on the disc to add variety while playing through Tour mode, so track packs or more DLC would help out.

Nice... well, you should play ICO it is the cat's meow!
I just wish that the final act in WoS wasn't so boring.
You thought the last act was boring? I thought the first one with Luke Cage was fucking boring. The entire time I was like---Luke you're a fucking superhero too. you do it.

Maybe ICO balanced out with Red Faction. I think I'd get bored of ICO without some kind of ridiculous gamey thing to go along with it. It's a bit.. dry?

Also, Ninja Blade is a strictly podcast game. The same reason I have 200 points in Phantasy Star Universe. Mindless and easy to listen to 1up yours or Bombcast with.

Yea - good idea. I'm enjoying ICO due to it being rather relaxing, I've been pummeled by gaming excitement for the past couple weeks - it is nice to take it easy.

I didn't say that it was JUST the final act that was boring. ;)

When does it release? I wanna play it since I enjoyed the PS2 version.

I've been playing Dirge of Cerberus and I'm not sure where all the hate comes from. Does it get worse after chapter 3 or something or were people just butthurt about it not being an RPG?

Next Tuesday (6/30).

Did the PS2 version have much of a story? The second half of the game was pretty much devoid of further development until the last mission.boss fight when everything came to a close.

It doesn't really get worse- it just never gets better, or any different, or has much of any variety. I played a few levels and just got too bored to continue.

yeah, the PS2 version had a story which was handled pretty interestingly. You could brush off the love interest in the game and go after one of the other characters. I basically went after the girl with the nicest rack in my music band...

But the PSP version is kinda suppose to lack story since it's more of a focus on one of the modes from the PS2 version arena battles..

just got Eliss on the my touch... superb game.
but the first was a turd!
yea i know, just happy to see it coming to :ps3: as i wont have a 360 in a month. This one will probably suck too but a well (yea i know this post made no sense)
Which one is giving you troubles? I may be able to help out.
I finally figured it out.
I had to jump on a chandolier which knocked down a bridge.
Leave it to me to make a mountain out of a molehill and search for the most complicated solution ever. It's like I've never heard of Occam's Razor.

:applause: I really have to applaud my stupidity on this one. And  at how much better the game looks on my SDTV. Hopefully Monoprice has a good return policy on this component to VGA box I bought.
I've always been curious about Dirge of Cerberus myself. I've watched a couple videos and it doesn't look too bad.
It is bad. Really really really bad. One of the worst games ever.

They're weirdly interwoven, as you unlock new missions by beating a tier of the arena fights that usually has a story mission in it. The last boss fight wrapped up the story so I could go finish off the S-rank fight and the game ended right there, so they kind of depend on each other a bit.

How long was the PS2 version, since I'm guessing it's quite a bit longer than the PSP version? I took about 14 hours with a bit of grinding for money on a few key missions.

I didnt get to finish the the PS2 one but it was at least 30 hours I'd say... too much shit to do... farming, arena battles, story, building relationshps, working on band/performing, customizing homes, etc.

prob 40-50 hours if you wanted to do everything

The controls feel ridiculously stilted if you've ever played anything else resembling DMC.

Haha, very nice. I did that part on accident... took me a while to figure out what to do once it was broken though..
What you don't see is the futa part.
speaking of futa, chacrana doesn't post here anymore! sent me a message on XBL the other night telling me how awesome BlazBlue is...but he hasn't been on live in forever either. Weird!

but Garou comes out tomorrow and I'm sure he'll come back to kick our asses with Terry Bogard.

I'm enjoying ICO, and I'm noticing how intensely I get into fighting spirits, but the game just isn't really clicking overall for me yet. Maybe I've read too much hype but I'm not feeling much but annoyed at some of the puzzles and especially at the princess. For someone with zero energy she sure does like to wander away from the couch too much.
What you don't see is the futa part.
naw no futa...the futa scene has been lacking lately. All the new hentai coming out are not cutting it. A rape hentai is good once in while but damn almost all the series coming have been about rape and incest....come on! bring on the futa!

speaking of Chac, he never wants to finish our discussion on futa. Such a shame, it was a great convo. Guess he couldnt handle the heat on him during our GoW2 matches
