No glitching in CC single player, to my knowledge. I played through fine -- it was just the netcode that was busted.

What patch do you want for Gears 2 that would cause you to say "no patch? I just won't play for 2 weeks."

For what? They're okay if you buy them for under 5 bucks but even for stuff like Street Fighter Alpha, I'd rather use a regular PS2 controller. The only really, really good fighting game pads for the PS2 are the Sega Saturn PS2 pads from 2005ish and they're really pricy now.

I regret not ordering about 10 of those when the Darkstalkers ones were $19.99. and I regret selling the one I did get :(

good to hear about CC. I meant a SP mode patch for Gears. Like, in case all the early players find a crash or glitch that they decide to release a patch for on the first day. I won't be playing MP for a while since my connection is shit.

From all I've read/heard, I don't think there will be a day one patch, like Fable 2.

I played the Folklore demo as well last night. It's a neat game, just the pacing seems very slow. That'll be something I look for in the bargain bins.

I got mine with 25% coupon used at GS for like $16.
Target had it on mega clearance way back when.
 
Thanks for the heads up Dallow on the hollywood video deal. Hoping to find some games to flip to gs for a cheap ME next week.

Now off to class to take a math exam (meh).
 
Yeah, I can't wait for Gears tomorrow. It's coming from Amazon with release date deliver to my office, and my buddy and I are taking of ASAP after it gets here and going to put in a Marathon of Gears and beers. Can't wait, we had a blast doing that to get through the first one in Hardcore and then Insane over the summer.

I don't think I'd pay over $20 for Folklore, so I guess I need to hunt for coupons...

And I don't know... Fallout 1 just didn't feel fun to me. There's a lot to it, and not many stones I'd like to turn over to discover. I guess it's more my mindset than the game itself... Meh.
 
Right after school tomorrow I'll drive over to my Circuit City and pick up the regular edition with the free 1600 point card. Finally Castle Crashers also. I'll probably run through co-op with one of my buds and be playing versus by the end of the night. I really wish they would have went 4 player co-op this time around. Ehh they need some reasons to sell us on Gears 3.
 
I tried the Demo for the new Naruto game on the 360. they seemed to fix a few things I hated about the last game but I think I might just rent that one. And I'll check out the Left 4 Dead demo later tonight.
 
I have Fallout 1 and 2 that I got from a trade here years ago. Great deal actually, it was my Karaoke Revolution w/ mic for her Fallout 1 and 2, Einhander for PS1, and Warcraft III. Doesn't get any better than that. :D

Anyway, I tried to play it a while back, but it didn't really bring me in; the aesthetic was very old school. Maybe I'll pop it in again soon while I wait for a good deal on Fallout 3.

Allows you to play any PSP game that has multiplayer, online (since most are local wifi only).

The app has a very slick interface too.
Creates little lobbies or something for whatever PSP game.
You can even talk to the other player via bluetooth.

Kinda like that third party app, Xai Link except now official.

Yeah I cashed in on that HWV thing too.

$75 spent at hollywood turned into $200 at Gamestop..

I got a Wii points card, paid for Chrono Trigger DS, got a few DS games, and found a used Resistance 2 (!) already that I put up on amazon.
 
I got Marvel vs Capcom 2 for Xbox there for $3.99
Should I keep that or trade it in, or sell via other means?

Original case, I'd say it's in medium to poor condition, but the disc is perfect. Also has manual.

In the end, it was over $200 in credit.
Dang, what a great deal. If we had more HWVs in the area, I would have hit them all up.

So I finally managed to beat Raam in Gears of War over Live...on INSANE! I didn't want to do it on Insane, but thanks to his no mic, I had no choice...but after about 20 reloads, we finally did it.

I made out with 700 Gamestopbucks after it was all said and done. Bought Motorstorm 2, Valkyria Chronicles, some points and ended up with 500 or so left. Only spent 100 bucks, too. :]

Gonna buy two copies of Gears 2 and sell 'em for $50 bucks and break even with 380 Gamestopbucks in my pocket and my money back. :]
