also nxe=awesome. I've been using it all week. Installing games and netflix is so great.

Weapon of Choice is a great game too.

I'll take streaming netflix over bluray anyday. fuck $30 movies...

Any futanari movies up on Netflix, Jerbear?

I've been thinking about that shit all morning and I just realized Rei is married. I wonder if his wife wears a strap on with furry stuff on it when they're intimate. :whistle2:k

Damn people can we drop the chicks with dicks chat. I have to have my lunch in a bit and I'm starting to feel sick. Thank god I'm not having hotdogs.

Is L4D good Jer?
My copy is coming today and I ordered a copy for my mate in the UK so we can co-op it.

I haven't played the full game, but my TF2 buds and I have played the demo many, many times. On the hardest difficulty, the game is really, really fun because you never really know what's going to happen. On normal it's a bit more dull, since it's easy enough to just run through the game.

Yeah I heard Weapon of Choice was a game he left the company to do, or has always wanted to make since he was a kid? It's really fun, and I hope more good stuff that isn't just puzzle games comes out of the XNA initiative.

This is going to make me sound like a troll, but Community Games is such a better way of doing user-generated content than little big planet.. help out the people who really, actually want to make games as a career, not every joe-shmo who doesn't have any idea about making games, and probably really doesn't care about doing it..

I agree that the chicks with dicks thing needs to be dropped. This is what happens when you let rei take over the conversation..

And whoknows should be ashamed for buying two versions of Sonic Unleashed. Honestly. It is kinda funny that the PS3 version is delayed.. Year of PS3 CONTINUES!

Making levels in LBP isn't about making/programing/designing games.
It's about making levels for a game.

You realize "Community Games" isn't anything new?
Bedroom coders have been making games since computers existed.
It's just easier to play now on a console instead of searching online for indie game dev sites.

I will say one thing about PS3 : Mine's been going since March 2006 without so much as a hiccup. That's with tons of Tekken 5 DR, Virtua Fighter 5, DMC4, SCIV, and MGS4.

I love playing Gears 2, but I know my 360 is doomed, probably any day now. This is my 3rd one, and I've had it since summer 2007. I'm amazed that it's still going.

I do like how jer is amazed by 'community games' and Netflix streaming when it's been around for a long time on PCs.

What I really want to see is the HD streaming that apparently NXE will provide, which in fact, would be a first.
I might get a cheap netflix account for that.

\you need a $6000 PC to stream netflix and play indie games, big comfy couch, analog sticks, auto aim, TVs, and etc. etc.

It's a first for a console. Suck up your pride, because if it was the PS3, you'd be nutting your pants.

You don't see why thats a big deal for consoles? Should people be so flippant about Home then because Second Life exists?

Can't wait for the 360 game installs

:bouncy:

Fair enough, Rei.

Also, Second Life was munny the first ten seconds I played of it. Even gave me a cool name like "Goober McFleeb" or something like that.

I missed discussion on futa.

Anyway, trying to figure out what I want to do today. I'm thinking I'm going to play a little Valkyria Chronicles and then start TOS 2.

Netflix is great for me. I've had Instant Watch available for months but seldom used it as I hated watching movies on my monitor or laptop, and would never put a PC in the living room/home theater so it's great to be able to watch them on the TV now.

But in general, I'm glad when anything cool from the PC realm comes to consoles as I hate doing much of anything beyond e-mail/web surfing on computers when not working. I spend so much time on computers doing work that I try to avoid them as much as possible when not working.

Yeah, being able to easily watch them on a TV instead of at your computer is the real nice thing. (I realize there's ways to do it with a computer, but very few people have that setup or want the hassle)

And the community games is a lot like indie gaming, but they get a lot more support and a good way to monetize their products to a very large market. Most indie things on PC get forgotten easily or overlooked. Having a marketplace for them is a good thing.

The HD streaming works nice. My connection isn't always up to it (during peak hours or when my roomates are using their connections too) but I can watch 30 Rock and the Office in HD, and they look nice, just a bit better than DVD. Not 1080p quality, but it looks really good for streaming. And if your connection ever slows to where you would get a stutter, it just goes down to SD quality video, takes like 15 seconds to switch over.

The best thing is I haven't had a SINGLE stutter or hiccup in the video and I've watched 3 movies and probably 5 TV shows so far. Whoever said PS3 fans would be nutting over netflix is right, it's an awesome feature. $9 a month for one movie out at a time and the instant queue is a great deal. PS3 fans should be used to being jealous by now..

Not that interested in the 360 Netflix thing, but I'm one of those people that has a PC connected to a TV, so... it really offers nothing to me. That and I'm a strange person that doesn't enjoy watching movies/TV that much anyway. Very few things I will watch.

Yeah i can see that. There's a lot of classic movies and a lot of TV shows that I never have seen and enjoy catching up on. My girlfriend really likes it because we don't have to go rent things or wonder what to get, you can just try a bunch of stuff and see what you like.

I might try to get a used Mirror's Edge today.. $38.50 with cellfire is the price for all new games this season!
How do I get the slick avatar-flavored gamercards everyone has in their sigs?
Mygamercard.net, it's the NXE one.

An "audio-only" stealth action game. Control a horrible monster who lives at the bottom of a dark pit and eats the people who fall in!

To the post above.. :puke:

Found out there was a movie gallery 15 mins away so decided to go there and try to score at least something. Got there, saw a shitty rack of ancient games and the good ones I wanted were on the rental shelve still :bomb: Asked and the lady told me they were not to sell their rentals so went off on my merry way empty handed again

What do people think was the most shocking teaser trailer for a game ever? The one that kinda is there for me right now is Dragon Quest IX.
Oh, please!

I'd never smash a girl that was over 130 pounds.
Well said, fat chicks need love to, but they gotta pay.

I wonder if I'll get round to playing Nuts and Bolts tonight, I've taken it out of the wrapper at least.

Yeah, I'm the exact opposite. Love movies and watch a few TV shows as well, so Netflix is great for me. And even better now that I can do the instant watch stuff on the TV rather than PC.

I need to cut back on my gaming some and get caught up on movies I've been neglecting.
Anyone finish R2?
Nobody cares except whoknows.. lol.
not yet. its better than R1 though
Whenever you say "R1" or "R2" it makes me think of the controller buttons :bomb:
